He crawled out of bed and stretched tall, reaching for the ceiling. “Time to wake up Faja,” it was his fav nickname for his beautiful wife. “Lots of things to do! “ He leaned down and gave her a smooch. “Wonder if the kids are up.” He looked around like they may pounce any second.
The kids were healthy and full of energy. But this morning it looked like they were still asleep. Maybe they had stayed up reading like he used to as a child. He had loved the quiet nights.
Now he enjoyed the extra noise of pitter patter feet.

She groaned as the morning sunshine trickled into their room. She rolled to her side so she was watching Kya stretch "can't i just stay in bed?" She asked him before snuggling into her pillow a bit. She had gotten use the kids running into their room and climbing onto their bed and pouncing on them to wake them up in the mornings, but oddly enough they hadn't yet.
"I think they might still be asleep or they would have ran in here and jumped on us" she told him smiling a little. When they were first born it was an adjustment but as the days went on, she had adjusted their routine to accommodate the children. Kya was an excellent father and was a very hands on type and he still was when it came to their kids.

She had indeed stayed up all night reading, but there had just been so many good books that Daddy had bought for them at the bookstore. The birds were chirping outside and she had just drifted awake and was in that super comfy place before the excitement of the day made itself known. "Ezlynn are you awake yet?" Hfrafn yawned and stretched while in the bed. She didn't want to get up yet. Usually she liked mornings but she was too comfortable right now.
"Did you dream about anything?" She asked her Brother. She had a hard time sleeping if he wasn't around so she was glad they shared a room.

He had also stayed up reading but didn’t go to bed as late as his sister, he had gone to asleep few minutes before she had. He was still a little groggy but he was more or less awake and he had woken up a few minutes before she had and was reading a book without moving too much or he would have woken her up. He blinked a couple times before looking over at his sister “yep, have been for a few minutes, I just didn’t want to leave the bed and wake you” he told her. He tilted his head to the side thoughtfully “mm..can’t say I did, how about you?” He asked her. Usually the two of them would be awake before their parents and would run into their room and jump on them to wake them up but , they didn’t this morning. He figured he would let his parents sleep in for a bit before going in and waking them.

He looked over at her with a languid, sleepy happy face. "You could stay in bed, but they would either take down the house without us and we would miss breakfast." He said this but he also rolled over to snuggle her snuggling that pillow. "Yes we must get up." He said squiggling down lower in the bed and finding that most comfortable position and closing his eyes. He enjoyed the warmth and soft blankets just as much as she did. And he adored cuddling. "Guess the house is sacrificed." He yawned and purred happily at her.

She considered what he said and frowned a bit at the thought of the kids destroying the house. In all fairness their kids were the type to be careful around the house if they were playing something that could cause damage. She snuggled a bit more into the bed and him “the kids are good so if they are out of bed before us they will find something to do and be careful around the house until we get out of bed” she told him, afterall they both worked really hard on the expansion or at least what Ky would let her do while she was pregnant with them.
“Give me a few more minutes then i will get out of bed and make some breakfast for us and the kids” she told him enjoying the peace and quiet as much as much as she could even though it was temporary.

"I'm not sure I dreamed." She couldn't remember, it was pretty frustrating.
She scrunched up her little nose. Well if they were not going to get up right away.... she dove for her pile of unread books, it was what she did with her free time when she wasn't doing art or picking medicinal plants. She loved all of her hobbies and hanging out with her brother. Ez was pretty cool.
Her stomach grumbled but her mind was hungrier. She showed the book to her brother. "I picked this up last time Dad took us to the bookstore run by that lightning lady."

He nodded his head attentively as she spoke and lightly patted her head “that’s okay, it probably wasn’t that important of a dream then if you can’t remember and that’s okay, he told her before looking at the book she was showing him “ooh that looks like it would be a interesting read” he told her.
He decided to go back to reading for a bit longer before his hunger got the better of him. He set the book his lap putting his hands on top “okay, now I’m starting to get hungry, I ‘m gonna get mom and dad.” He said putting in a book mark and closing the book he was reading.

"This is true, sometimes I forget how well behaved our kids are.' They were a bit older now too and that helped a bit. Though they had been rediculously cute when they were nothing but an armfull. Overall though they had been rather easy to raise as he and Fajra put the time in. She was such a wonderful mother, he liked to spoil her where he could.
"I'll help you make breakfast." He would get her fresh herbs and ingredients. "Just let me know what you need and I will go pick it."
He liked to give her the freshest stuff he could produce, he was rather proud of the recent additions of egg and honey to his repetoire.

She stretched before swinging her legs out from under the covers. She jumped out of bed and stretched once more “alright! Lets get this day started” she said before going around to his side of the bed and giving him a morning kiss.
“I’m thinking some eggs and sausages with a touch of honey” she said to him thoughtfully. “So if you could grab me a few eggs and honey, i shall get that started for us”

Her brother was a truly sweet boy, he always took an interest in what she was doing. She grinned brightly at him, "I'll come with you!" She wanted to wake them up too. Her stomach rumbled. "I'm hungry too." She could have gotten cereal but she wasn't convinced that cereal was actually food, it looked like bird seed to her...she liked eggs though! Eggs and toast were her go to breakfast, and that she could nto make yet without parental assistance. "I hope they are already awake, they usually are." If not they could wake them.

He nodded his head as she mentioned that she wanted to come with him. "okay, if they aren't awake we can wake them together" he told her before making their bed and smoothing it out his parents always told him to make sure that their room and bed were presentable in case they had unexpected guests early in the morning. He held out his hand for his sister to take "Lets go!"
Hopefully they were awake already; they couldn't really feed themselves without adult supervision and he would rather be safe than sorry if something happened while they were prepping their breakfast by themselves.

He could feel the timeless energy of the sun fill his body as he helped Fajra with breakfast. It was fun to cook together. He thought of the lonely life he had lead before her and was so happy that he was no longer alone. Having her was the best thing that had happened to him. Having the kids now, proof of their love and devotion was just as good! He was no longer sad or lonely. He had a purpose besides gardening. He was a protector, a husband, a lover and a Dad. He was so happy with his life.
He hoped that this joy never changed.
"I feel like they will be up soon." He smiled at Fajra.

Just as Kya said it the kids came running into the kitchen. She chuckled lightly and looked at Kya "Well, speaking of kids, here they are" she told him and she looked over at them. "well, good morning my lovelies, did you two have a good sleep? Breakfast will be done shortly." she said and looked at Hrafn "Hrafn, sweetheart can you and your brother start setting the table for breakfast?" she asked the two of them.

Dutifully she did as she was asked. She did not like chores or tasks that didn't involve outside but since it was Mother asking and asking so nicely she supposed she and her brother could oblige her. The table was set and ready for the meal, she had made sure to wash before coming downstairs so once she was fed she would be ready for the day ahead and whatever outdoor delights it might bring.
It was a good time of year, though she liked anytime of year so it was always a good time of year.
