Your wish is only said to come true if you grant the wish of someone else; when you write your wish, you must also take one off of the tree and do your best to grant it. What wish do you pull off, and how do you intend to ‘grant’ it? Do you work with someone else to grant this wish, or do you work alone?Ptolemy had taken to the task at had as if it were some sacred mission. She would take a wish off the tree (just as she had placed one there). Then, she would grant it. It sounded so simple. And, yet, when she opened the wish she had taken, it all seemed so much harder. What did the message mean? Quote: I wish for you to hold your family close and remind them of your love for them. Ptolemy had no family. Every blood relative she had ever had was gone. And, not just gone. Dead. Dead and gone for a thousand years! “How am I supposed to fulfill this wish?”She stared at it as if it would talk back and reveal its secrets to her. ❂

“Oh, no. It’s not that.” She said a little embarrassed as she looked down at the wish. It wasn’t a bad wish at all. It was a perfectly good wish. She just didn’t know how she, personally, would fulfill it. “It’s just that I don’t have any family… here.” She was about to say ‘left’, but then remembered she would have to explain that and explaining that was hard. At least, without revealing what she was. “I’m sorry. I didn’t introduce myself. My name is Ptolemy. What’s yours?”❂

"And I'm Bruno!" He exclaimed cheerfully. Hearing her mention family, he guessed that was part of the wish, and frowned. He really didn't have family in Destiny City himself, so he wasn't sure what to do to help with the wish, bur he figured they could start one place. "Well, why don't we step back from the wishes for a minute and grab a snack or take a seat? Maybe something else to focus on will help you think of an alternative. I know we've just met but i'd like to help if i can."

“Thank you! A snack would be great. I’m probably over thinking this.”She looked down at the slip of paper before pocketing it. No use ruminating on it. More thinking didn’t always mean more answers, after all. Yuri tended to do that a lot. Worry so much and still not get any closer to an answer. If a thing didn’t want to come when you called, it probably just wasn’t ready yet. “My friend said there should be all kinds of good food at the festival.”❂

"And your friend is right!...I think, I havent really been to the festival in along time." Bruno admitted, a slight frown on his face, he really did need to get out more. Looking at the options open to them, he settled on a stand offering crepes and drinks. "Would that one work Yuri? We can have drinks and a snack there, then we can brainstorm."

“This stand looks great!” She said excitedly. “I don’t think I’ve ever eaten anything like that before!”She had certainly never had a crepe before. Perhaps there had been something similar on her world a long time ago. But definitely not the same thing. “A snack will help make brainstorming easier.”❂

Wow! Bruno didn't think he had ever heard of anyone that hadn't had crepes before, even if you couldn't buy them they were easy to make. "Really? I recommend a strawberry personally. But let's grab something and get to thinking." He headed towards the stand, making sure his new friend was with him, before placing his order, then moving to let Yuri place hers and look at the selection.

“Well, if you recommend strawberry, I’ll try that.”Ptolemy got in line and ordered using some money she had gotten for a weekend shift at the cafe on re-opening weekend. When receiving the crepe, she stared at it with awe. It looked just as good as the picture! “Let’s find a place to sit.”❂

Luckily, Bruno spotted a table that just opened right by them, going to take a seat. "What luck!" He stretched after sitting, a habit he had in the heat and to help him stretch out and relax in his chair. "I hope you don't mind me asking questions as we eat by the way, but i actually have quite a few, and an idea if that's okay?"

Bruno was positive that was not how to eat a crepe but okay, it's fine, he didn't want to be rude, he slid some napkins over though. "So, I take it you do have a few friends, why not consider them family? Family doesn't necessarily have to be blood after all. Are you close enough with any of your friends that you could probably help?"

“I haven’t been in Destiny City that long.” She began knowing that she hadn’t had much time to make friends. Her only friend was Yuri. In fact, he’d been her friend much longer than she had been here on Earth. It’s just… he didn’t remember. “I do have a friend. But I don’t know if we’re that close yet… what would make a friend family?”❂

Bruno thought, what did make a friend family? It was one thing to propose that solution, sure, but on the other, it was a deeper question, and not something surface level, In the end, Bruno decided to go with what sounded right to him. "I would have to say if theyve been there for you, if the relationship maybe feel, on both sides I gotta add, like you both think of the other as siblings, you would do anything for each other I guess." He took some bites of his own sweet, swallowed, then wiped at his face. "To be honest, as friendly as I can be it's not something I've ever had, but I think it's like that, that you can trust them and care for them the same you would a blood sibling, or a blood cousin. I hope that makes sense."
