(( takes place directly after this )) Rayna's preparations had almost been complete in the more mundane items that she had to bring along with her on what she was calling a camping trip/overnight hike but she still had to stop and make a few more larger purchases which would round out the supplies that she had deduced that she would need. Taking the next step was going to be the hardest one that she'd ever taken on her own. Sure, visiting Scylla had been a glorious encounter but that was not her own world. There was no telling what she was going to experience once she stepped foot on her own asteroid. Dragging a finger down the length of the rolled up sleeping bag did Rayna sigh before exiting the sporting goods store. Inside of the sleeping bag cover were a few more necessary smaller items that would hold over well until she freed them later on.
Now came the interesting part. She was supposed to be "hiking" and that involved actually getting somewhere else by a faster mode of transportation besides ones own feet but Rayna knew that there only needed to be the illusion that she was going hiking. In short there was no real need to hide what needed to be done except one needed just a little bit of secrecy.
Consulting her regular, mundane cellphone did Rayna move off towards the nearest walking trail. It would be from there that she would transform and get herself off world for her first, and maybe last, exploration of Myrrha. After spending another twenty minutes or so walking towards her end destination did Rayna come up with a possible starting point of attack once she was on her world before scrapping it. There was no telling what the place would be like and that meant that any advance plan of attack could be scuttled as soon as she got there. Hitting the entrance to the trail meant that time was almost up in regards to this unknown situation that Rayna was willing to take. Hunkering down the woman tried giving herself the most basic of pep talks before realizing that nothing she said was going to bolster her confidence anymore.
She was here ... and she was going to go. End of story. Following the trail into the forest that it weaved through did Rayna appreciate the common sense to bring all that had. This world exploring thing wasn't going to be very long but she hoped that she'd packed enough food to sustain her for the time that she would be gone. Pausing in an effort to check if anyone else seemed to be around her did Rayna step off of the marked path before meandering through the foliage that grew all around her. Once she had lost sight of the path in all directions did the woman sit down on the ground before shrugging off her coat and the bag that she had been carrying. Her sleeping bag rested on the ground as well before she opened her pack and grabbed her henshin pen and her senshi phone before powering off the regular cellphone and sticking it deep into the pack's main pocket. Remaining seated did Rayna call upon her world's power before feeling the familiar sensation of power wrapping around her, comforting her just a little more. Grabbing her senshi phone in one hand and looping the pack over a her free arm, along with her coat and reaching out to snag the cords that were present around the sleeping bag did Myrrha, the super senshi of scents, fiddle with her phone before pressing the button that would transport her home: to Myrrha... and whatever surprises her asteroid had in store for her.(621 words)

If she was being honest with herslef Myrrha's first impression of her home world was severely lacking in any excitement at all. As soon as the senshi felt firm ground beneath her feet she felt herself crumple to the ground as the sensations that she was experiencing overwhelmed her. Myrrha felt her stomach clench unpleasantly as the only herald to what was coming next and she straightened just enough so that whatever was on its way up wouldn't end up all down the front of her fuku. Dry heaves wracked her slender frame before the moment she dreaded came to be and her most recently eaten meal made its reappearance. Not only was this the worst possible start to exploring but it also made Myrrha doubt if her world really wanted her there.
This experience had not happened when she had visited Scylla's world, nor the time that she had been other places. If she recalled correctly it had been a journey through various doors. Ahh, Celsus. Even as she wiped a hand across her mouth to rid the area of leftover sick did Myrrha shuck off her shouldered pack before digging around for one of the bottles of water. Unscrewing the cap and tilting her head back to pour a mouthful or two of the liquid into her mouth did the senshi swirl the liquid around before spitting it out. On shaky feet did Myrrha rise from her kneel before staring down at the spot she'd mucked up before sighing, "great way to start this journey. Why me?"
As she spoke Myrrha's gaze took in the landscape on which she stood before she felt as if someone had come along and slapped her unexpectedly. Her grasp on her pack loosened enough for the strap that she'd been holding to slip to the ground. Almost immediately did the senshi lunge for the pack lest it tumble over the edge whatever lay below. For it seemed as if on her first visit to Myrrha that the magic she had inherited from this world had inadvertently tried to do away with its guardian. Maybe it wasn't intended to be that way but the senshi wasn't exactly pleased. Her voice, a little more shrill from instant fear rang out in the empty air, "Is this because I haven't been here yet, or because of my little decorative puddle over there?"
Of course there was no reply. Had there been one Myrrha would have been out of there faster than she could have processed and back home on Earth. Since she was here though, would it be alright to now be able to have a peek around. So far there was a cliff and given that it was a fair height above the rest of the terrain at least she could get the best perspective of what she was potentially getting herself into.
On a measured approach did the woman carefully sigh before backing further away from the edge before untying her sleeping bag. Her gaze turned towards the sky, in which daylight seemed to be fading before she sighed. "Unless I feel like wandering around and risking my literal neck in the process ... I'd better turn in for the evening. Not sure if anyone could even begin to explain what I'm experiencing up here. I'm in outer space ... on what appears to be an asteroid, devoid of life as far as I can see so far, with nightfall approaching. Yet I don't need any special equipment like a spacesuit to protect me from the vacuum effect that space would have on those unfortunate enough to get stuck without such a thing."
Guessing that it was safer to wait until daylight came before she really explored did Myrrha settle into the sleeping bag before shifting around. Oh, this was going to be uncomfortable to say the least. But there was no way that she was going home just because she missed those so called creature comforts of a queen-sized mattress and down filled pillows and a warm duvet. No, she would have to do without because questions needed to be answered and only she was the one with the ability to get them. But for now ... sleep.
Using her pack as a prop/pillow did the senshi of scents let her eyes close to the dead silence around her. Answers would be had ... once she had rested at least a little while. Although falling asleep was just a little bit harder than she imagined it would have been. The lack of noise was amplified and suddenly Myrrha's eyes snapped open. Her gaze was unsettled as she sat up before realizing what it was that was wrong: it was too quiet up here. Slowly she began to wonder just what it would take for her to be able to fall asleep. Certainly there would be nothing on her phones that would allow for any sort of background noise to at least soothe the nervousness that she was experiencing. Would such devices even work off planet. Certainly an mp3 player, as long as it was charged, would have been able to provide music in such an event. Earphones would have been an asset too. As it was she had neither and so with a sigh of resignation did Myrrha simply turn onto her side. The extra folds of her sleeping bag were pulled over her head in hopes that maybe blocking out the vastness of the sky above her that she'd at least feel a little more comfortable closing her eyes in order to attempt sleeping.

After the scare that she had had upon arrival Myrrha had not been certain that sleep would ever find her, and yet by some miracle, it had. The young woman tossed and turned in her sleeping bag all night though as if something plagued her unconscious mind. Analyzing dreams were definitely not one of her strong suits although she had dabbled a little bit so when she awoke, gasping for air, from the images that had been conjured up from god know's where did she have to sit up in order to not only catch her breath, but also to try and recall whatever significant images that her dreaming mind had allowed her to see.
Scrounging for her pack Myrrha winced at the pull the motion afforded her as she frowned. Well sleeping on the ground was bound to cause one discomfort that was a given. Her mind tried to grasp the images that she had witnessed before she felt them slipping through the figurative net she was trying to use to hold onto them. Over and over did Myrrha replay the one most startling aspect of her dream and that was of a massive wall of energy that seemed to wipe out most, if not everything, that it came into contact with. People had been running for their very lives, trying to duck into shelters that would have protected them only to keel over dead before those shelters were even reached.
Myrrha flexed her hands for a moment before she tapped the pen she had grabbed from her bag against the pad of paper before peering around at her surroundings. Had that really been a dream or had it been a portent of something else that had happened on this asteroid? If she were to close her eyes and sleep again would more of the story unfold or would what she had seen before merely replay on an endless loop now that she had recalled it. Digging into her bag once more Myrrha found the container with the apple slices that she had packed before bringing out the matching container with cheese slices before opening both containers. From each one did she grab a slice of cheese and a piece of apple before placing cheese slice on the apple and then taking a rather impressive bite. She savoured the taste of both food items before sighing softly and bringing her knees up out of the sleeping bag and into her chest where she stared around her impromptu campsite. Had what she seen in her dream an accurate event or the result of too many sci-fi movies about end of the world scenarios. Figuring that sleep was going to elude her until she figured out the answer did Myrrha wearily get to her feet in order to pack up everything in her immediate vicinity. Answers needed to be found ... and more of this place explored.

Daylight had finally arrived but Myrrha had already been on the move for quite some time. The scents senshi had decided that while it was impossible for her to attempt sleep again lest the images of death return than the time she was awake would be put to better use then just sitting around and staring at nothing. Luckily she had ample light to traverse the small trail that she had stumbled across by pure chance. In that regards, both of her phones were providing her with a wide enough circumference of artificial light in which she could confidentially place one foot in front of the other without the danger of tripping over some strange obstacle. Only once did she stop in order to wolf down some more of her cheese and apple slices before continuing to trek onwards. The trail that she currently found herself on was one that seemed to be on a descending slope and for that gratitude was silently expressed that she would not have to use as much energy to get to wherever this path was taking her.
As the sun rose over the horizon Myrrha stopped to stare at the display. Various shades of purple streaked overhead as she witnessed what was probably her first ever sunrise on the surface of her home world ... and probably the first one to see it in ages if her dreams had a ring of truth to them. But what had happened to those that had lived here before? What was the giant wave of raw energy that had devastated life so thoroughly that it seemed as if nothing could ever grow here again?
Would these answers be afforded to her on this visit alone or would she have to keep coming back to get more of the story? Was there even a worthwhile story to learn?
Checking the time on one of her phone screens did Myrrha sigh. There were still at least sixteen hours in which she could explore but now the question lingered in the back of her mind: would she happen to like what answers she found if she continued her exploration? Did she owe it to her world? Could she live with herself if what she found was so horrible, so gruesome that she would be scarred for life?
All these questions rushed through her mind at a lightning speed before a phone was grasped tightly in a clenched fist. She kept a light pressure on the phone that was connected to her senshi-dom before blinking slowly. Frustration boiled over and the young woman ran down the remainder of the path before stopping at what looked like a worn down walled structure of some kind. Gloved hands reached out to touch the material before Myrrha craned her neck to glance behind her at the cliff that rose above what seemed to be a tiny village. Beyond the walled structure lay multiple other dwellings in various states of disrepair and Myrrha moved silently, much unlike a silent wraith, trying to pry answers out the cold sentinels that refused to yield any indication of what had truly transpired. Sniffing softly did Myrrha begin to feel an overwhelming sense of loss at what had befallen those that lived here such a long time ago.
Perhaps it had taken her much to long to come up here - but now she was at least determined to find the answers to what had occurred on her home world, if only to bring peace to the countless individuals that had perished. Holding onto that thought in her mind Myrrha cut the rest of her first visit short. Grief was one emotion she did not have the strength to deal with now and it would be better if she could actually get a good night's rest before tackling what would come down the road at her later.
