I just uploaded the entirety of my phone's photo gallery to my private Discord server. Most of them being pictures of my fur babies. I have three cats. Possy, Mackerel and Chi.
Possy in front, Mackerel behind her. They like sleeping on my clothes because they smell like me.
And this little rascal is Chi. Named after the cat from the anime series Chi's Sweet Home. She is 'a good girl who does naughty things'.
All of my cats are rescue cats. Possy was found at my mum's former house in Calliope. She was living in the front yard under some bushes and had two babies who were about 7-8 weeks old. Mackerel was the boy, very skittish and shy, Stripey was the girl, outgoing and friendly. We got them into an outdoor cat enclosure by putting food and water in the middle then dropping it down to trap them. They had litter boxes, a tarp cover to protect from rain, food, a cat tree with a hidey hole etc. Mama was pregnant at the time and soon had 4 more new babies.
We found homes for 3 of the new babies and it was decided that mum would keep Stripey and one of the younger kittens named One Ring. While I took Mackerel and Possy. Mackerel always protected his mama and they were bonded. We got all the cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated.
Later on, I got Chi from a former work colleague who bought her as a tiny kitten and then discovered that she and her son were allergic. I didn't want her to go to a bad home so I took her in.
She is now completely bonded to me to the point where she will not let anyone else pet her or pick her up. She is spoiled. She has behaviours. She makes me laugh. Chi loves chin scritchies and back pets and will lick the palms of my hands in affection while purring.
Chi is probably about 8 years old now and I think Possy is...maybe 11 and Mackerel 9? I don't really keep track of their ages too well.
