(continuation of this solo)

Illyria's memories of Ida had not faded after the two visits that she had made previous. The first visit, the initial one with Ida had been the best. The world had been lush and vibrant with long stalks of green grass dotted with various wildflowers and also it was here that she had unlocked the ability to shift into her humanoid Mauvian form. That first visit had been so very magical in her eyes as it had been spent in the most pleasant of company. Her second visit to Ida had been unplanned but it also sparked the same amount of awe and mysticism in her mind because it had cemented the knowledge that she and Ida were truly a bonded pair. How else had she been able to get to Ida's home world without having Ida take her there?

In that second visit there might have been confusion overriding much of everything that she had taken in from that moment in time as she had been thoroughly confused about how she'd been transported to her friend's home world. Even with the confusion though she had noted that everything was essentially the same as before and she'd had a moment to relax before going back to Earth. Therefore Illyria was startled by the sight that greeted her when she arrived on Ida's surface.

The Mauvian-turned-human had been expecting verdant green grasses to be the ones to greet her, if not Ida herself, (as she'd been hoping) as they had done before but what she took in with her initial glance spoke of something terribly wrong with the world. How else could one explain the fact that all the grass in the gentle sloping meadow be brown and withered? Illyria almost wished that she'd not come here at all. Taking the briefest moments to scan the ground did Illyria give the softest cry of alarm. For her scan had yielded no visible indicators that Ida was even on her world. If she wasn't here, and wasn't on the rooftop that she had just come from then where had Ida gotten to, injured as she most certainly was? The ground spotted no little droplets of red and Illyria once more felt that she wasn't doing her duty to Ida. Shaking off the feeling that threatened to swamp her petit frame did Illyria begin to notice something else though ... something that shouldn't have been present.

A low undercurrent of unease zipped through Illyria's mind as she made the connection to what it was that she was feeling in the air and also inside. Chaos. It was unmistakable. There was nothing to indicate that whatever was generating the source of chaos was moving so that ruled out any other unwelcome visitors to Ida's world. But even knowing that had Illyria frowning. How was it that chaos had managed to find it's way here? Was this something that everyone had to be alerted to? Or was it just here on Ida? Sniffing and feeling the sensation of sourness grow did Illyria turn in the direction that the chaos waves seemed to originate from.

Dead grasses poked irritably at her bare human feet and dead leaves crinkled at her passage but Illyria did her very best to catalogue the sights and sounds she was experiencing before shoving them aside as mere distractions. Something big and of the not so good variety was happening here. Would Illyria find answers that she could take back in a verbal report to Ida, once they eventually reconnected? The fact that the emanations of chaos were leading her closer and closer to the main area that Ida had once shown to her had Illyria's teeth clenching together. Upon witnessing that the tree that Ida had used as a home base showing no signs of vitality it once had before made Illyria race to the hidden garden plot and she stopped in her tracks at seeing that the work that Ida had painstakingly put into making such a beautiful space was ruined. Everything ... was all dead now. What had happened? How had it happened?

Had it been happening when she'd come here the first time by herself?

Knowing that she would ascertain no answers by staring forlornly at the dead garden did Illyria turn her back on the cultivated area before slinking forward. The charm on her collar dragged at her now. The weight of what it represented and the fact that she had not picked up on anything wrong before sat like a manacle with a ball and chain that impeded her movement with each step that she took. Concern flooded through her mind for Ida and Illyria knew that she'd have to find her partner as soon as she got back to Destiny City but that meant that she needed to gather as much information about what she'd seen here and now to give as detailed as a report as she could give.

Following the emanations of chaos led Illyria back to Ida's tower. She hadn't noted it before but the signature seemed strongest here. Was it somehow inside a place that she had yet to see? All she remembered of Ida's tower was that there had been a secondary floor where it looked like people could have stayed to recuperate. But it did not mean that there had been floors unknown to even her at the time. The main floor had been Ida's makeshift set up but upon entering through the doorway Illyria knew that she would have to go higher up. Debating if it were wise to continue onwards and upwards did Illyria reluctantly travel to the staircase that would see her to the upper levels of the tower. She spared only a moment's pause at the second floor before realizing that she was being guided even further up. This was uncharted territory for the Mauvian and she internally debated with herself if she even had the right to go further without Ida at her side. But something was happening here and she needed concrete evidence or at least the most absolute location of the chaos that she was sensing to even begin to get Ida to understand how serious her planet needed her. Stopping on what appeared to be the entrance to the third floor had Illyria marvelling at the rather impressive open archways before lightly stepping forward before immediately recoiling backwards. She didn't need to take a step further into this unknown area to know that the chaos was centered here, just a little further in, beyond her current location. Just out of sight as it were.

Feeling as if she were too conspicuous in her human form Illyria thought for a moment before shifting to the form of her feline self before proceeding forward. Every step was measured, controlled, giving her the time needed to adjust to make sure she wasn't rushing in with guns blazing. Upon the sight of the room that was opening up before her eyes Illyria danced backwards on her paws in a skittish retreat. Something was definitely here. Something that was of the not so good. Illyria could feel the chaos ... could swear on her grave that there was even a taste associated with the saturation in the air. Taking one giant leap into the room Illyria gasped with horror at the death of what had probably once been a lovely room full of orchids. Her eyes took in everything that she could see in dead silence before she scrambled out of the room. This was were the problem was. It had to be here. Making the conscious decision did Illyria bring her paws up to her charm once more before concentrating.

Even as the room of dead orchids disappeared from her vision to be replaced with the rooftop that she had departed from, Illyria knew that the sight of so many dead plants on a world that should have been thriving, would never leave her memory. But for now she scrambled to her paws before staring once more at the large stained section of roof before shaking her head. She had a plan of attack now and it composed of three phases.

Phase 1: Find Ida.

Phase 2: Explain to Ida what she'd found.

Phase 3: Fix the problem.

Seemed easy enough but Phase 1 would probably take forever if she herself didn't stay in one place. It was with unknown certainty if the phases could be carried out, that Illyria made the trek across town to situate herself in Orah's apartment. She would not move from that spot until Orah/Ida returned.
