Let me at them. Let me at them! LET ME AT THEM!
She couldn't physically yell this out at the pace that she was travelling but Illyria sorely wanted to. This was the only mantra going through Illyria's mind as she frantically made her way across town. She had to get to Ida because even without the miracle of technology that had brought allies to Ida's side before when she was in danger there was some innate instinct that the young feline had been experiencing that told her Ida needed her, and needed her now. For once in her life though her size was a hindrance. Even if she tried getting across town in her bipedal form the amount of energy that she would be putting off would only draw more attention to herself and possibly Ida once she got to the where she knew Ida would be. Getting to the skyline of Destiny City was essentially what had held Illyria up in the beginning but it was for a short period of time before she was able to access the city's ultimate highway in the sky.
Once she had access to the rooftops it was easier for the young Mauvian to follow the internal compass that she had now when it came to sensing where Ida was. Of course the danger could have passed and she could have been overreacting but deep down inside Illyria was frantically worrying about her friend and bonded partner. Something had definitely changed in the past few weeks and maybe it was even months ... who could really say. For once in her life Illyria was afraid that there was something insidious at work and it was trying to rip her most treasured friend away from her. She needed to dig in her claws and prevent that from happening but where was the danger coming from? Ida, and by extension Orah had been showing many little quirks that Illyria had never seen before in the short time that they'd known each other ... and especially in the even smaller amount of time that they'd been bonded ... and it frightened her.
Why else would Ida go out night after night: in one form or another in order to pursue things that could end up with dire consequences?
Illyria paused for a moment in order to catch her breath after feeling the strain of running full out in the direction she'd been heading in before her breath hitched in her throat. Was she just that inexperienced as a Guardian cat that she couldn't pick up on whatever was bothering her bonded partner? No matter what was going on Illyria wasn't sure that the occasional soothing balm that was her presence was the right solution. But if that was the case, how could she help Ida?
Arriving to the place that she perceived to be correct had Illyria frowning. The energy signature that she associated with Ida alone had faded during her frantic scramble to get here but that could just have meant that the danger had passed, right? Using all the caution that she could spare Illyria began to look around at the rooftop she'd stopped on before coming across a rather large looking bloodstain. Letting out the softest of forlorn meows did Illyria stare at the circular patch of red that stained the ground before tapping it gently with her left forepaw before drawing her it back. A faint outline of her paw was left in the stained area and when she lifted her paw to inspect it there was the faintest smudge of red that lingered on her pads.
"Ida?"
Where was Ida now? Had she been ambushed like before? Was she captured? Where? Where? Where?
Frantically Illyria scrambled to cover all corners of the building whose rooftop yielded no answers as to where her bonded partner was ... only the glaring pool of crimson marking Illyria as a failure to all bonded senshi and cats in existence. Ears twitching back and forth ... and eyes that welled up with moisture did the slowest of thoughts trickle that maybe Ida wasn't amongst the enemy ranks get through the feeling of absolute helplessness that the young cat was experiencing. Maybe Ida managed to get up to her asteroid to escape and that was one place that she knew she could go in order to find out what had happened.
Stilling her frantic thoughts and racing heart did Illyria shift to her human form before gently clutching at the charm that was on her ribbon necklace before thinking one final thought with utmost clarity. Hold on Ida, I'm coming. I'll save you. Even before the thought was finished had Illyria vanished from sight.
