Christabel had witnessed some other chibi's in action recently, and it was so amazing to her. The way they moved, the way they thought about their next moves, and just everything. They seemed to all have this whole senshi thing down, and here she just felt like she was barely hanging on by a thread.
All she could think while watching them was how she was so far behind. They were around the same age, yet she was nowhere near the level they were.
But today she wanted to change that! So here she was at the local park in a huge grassy area her friend Shedir had shown her. She helped her find this place since she didn't have anywhere else she could go to practice.
The only thing was now that she was here, she had no idea where to start training at. "Oh no, I didn't think this far ahead," she said out loud as she tried to rake her brain on exactly where she needed to begin her training. But sadly all she was drawing was a blank. This training session was already off to a rough start...

The night had gone just spectacularly so far...
Ida had startled a youma hassling a pair of walkers and it had run before she could dust it, forcing her to chase it down. Just the thought of letting it go find new victims had put her on edge and forced her to quicken her pace as she raced it towards the empty park. Then, the thing had managed to slip away from her and hide itself. She totally lost track of it, leaving her frustrated and circling the area, unable to find any trace of it.
Of course I'd lose it. Of course. Might as well have not bothered. Now its going to find some other innocent person to drain, maim or even kill, and it'll be my fault for letting it go. She thought as she sighed and sank into a walk, feeling a heavy weight on her shoulders. She had to get better at this... there was too much relying on her now for her to slack off. People expected things of her, things she had to deliver.
But those thoughts were going to need to wait, because Ida could feel another power signature... something she didn't actually feel very often. A chibi senshi? And alone... she couldn't feel any other signatures. Curiosity pulled her in that direction and she picked up her pace, trotting down the gravel path until she felt the signature close. Breaking past the trees, she caught sight of a young girl, doing... something she couldn't quite tell.
"Hello!" She called as she raised a hand in greeting, curious about who this youngster was and why she was out here alone.

Christabel turned around quickly when she heard another voice. Truth be told she was a little shocked too. Since Shedir said she hardly ever got bothered out here while training. Of course, the one time she came out, someone would show up and see her in such an embarrassing state. She was just standing there doing nothing.
She tried to play it off as if she were doing something. As she quickly turned around, she looked at who it was. Once she noticed it was a senshi and not a chibi one like she was used to seeing. She became excited to see a grown senshi. Not only that, she was so pretty too! She was the most beautiful Senshi she had ever encountered.
Now, this was a first for her, meeting a grown Senshi, and it almost made her lose her focus. Then she realized maybe they had some ideas about where to start training. But before she could even get to that part she realized she should probably respond to them.
"Oh hello there!" she said sweetly. She had heard stories of the Senshi and was eager to meet one in person. She felt so small beside them that was for sure. So much so she was intimidated a little bit, but also excited and tried to greet them in a friendly manner. "I'm Christabel, senshi of Mistletoe, and you are?"

Ida couldn't help her smile as she slowed down to a walk again, approaching to a comfortable talking distance. The girl did look quite young, and in her festive fuku colors, she reminded Ida of Elvira when the other Koronis had still been a senshi. Christabel of Mistletoe? Well, no wonder there was a resemblance, with such similar spheres.
"Its a pleasure to meet you, Christabel." She returned. "I'm Ida. My sphere is Orchids. I felt you nearby and I was curious what you were doing out here alone."
The older senshi smiled warmly, setting aside her own troubles for the moment to enjoy meeting this new ally. She didn't see many chibi senshi, or hadn't for a few years now other than Tachibana and Elvira. They always gave her mixed feelings, but with that came a need to protect them as best she could. Their powers gave them tools to protect themselves with, even as it made them more of a target. If she could help, in any way, she wanted to.
"I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything. I like to meet other senshi and offer any help I can, if they need it."chi honda sorry this is a bit late!

Christabel smiled, and thought what a beautiful name Ida was. Plus the Senshi seemed kind enough that it helped her relax. In a way, they had a sphere like hers. Orchids were so pretty, just like mistletoe. It would be wonderful if she could make friends or at least associates with the other Senshi. She was willing to trust them, even if it was scary. She took a deep breath and smiled.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well Ida," she said with a small curtsey. "Oh no you are not disturbing me at all! I was actually trying to train, but I'm not sure how to do it. This is my first training session, but I just wanted to practice in case I ran into trouble."
After she spoke she realized how she might have sounded just now. Like a clueless Chibi Senshi, but part of her didn't mind. Then it hit her. Maybe they could help her, since they were obviously much stronger than her and they mentioned they like to offer help. Maybe just maybe she could help her! Since she definitely needed some.
"Um .. by chance you wouldn't have any pointers would you?" she asked cutely. If she could get some pointers this would be easier to get her training started.Whimsical Blue No worries. Sorry I was late summer school is super crazy right now lol.

The request, worded so nicely, banished the last of Ida's ill temper and she couldn't help her broad smile.
"I'd be happy to give you some pointers. I make it a point to go out looking for new senshi to help out. A lot of get kind of thrown into all of this without much direction, so its good if I can help people get started. What are you practicing now?" She asked as she came to stand next to the girl. There had been many years where she'd spent hours and hours of patrols looking for new senshi to mentor and help train. Some senshi had cats awaken them who didn't take the time to teach them everything they should know, or otherwise were unable to. That left a gaping rift in their knowledge and was a potential disaster for them, as they couldn't safeguard themselves against the danger of being a senshi. If you didn't know what was danger, how could you keep yourself safe? It was especially important for chibis, who were already at a bit of a disadvantage.
"How much do you know about being a senshi, and about people like the Negaverse?" Ida added, hoping to spark a conversation and feel out the gaps in her knowledge.

Christabel couldn't help but jump for joy when she heard that she was willing to help her. She had been facing a difficult situation and had no idea how to solve it. Ida's assistance was exactly what she needed. She was overwhelmed with gratitude and couldn't contain her happiness.
"Well I was looking at working on aiming my attack Berry Blast. Which is me blowing a kiss, sending an array of mistletoe berries. They burst on impact, they have the potential of leaving a sticky residue. I just don't know really know how to practice that," she admitted honestly. While her attack seemed straight forward, she just couldn't seem to get the aim right.
Her chibi friend Shedir made this seem so easy, but for her baking sugar cookies was easier than this training. When she heard that Ida looked for Senshi's like her to help, it really put her at ease. The fact she wasn't alone in her troubles made her really happy.
"Well thank you in advance I really appreciate your help! As for being a senshi all I know right now is I need to protect people. Other than that I'm kind of new to the negaverse information." She said knowing that her lack of knowledge was kind of large, but she was thrown into this one day. So she kind of has just been following everyone's leads since then.

Wrapping her arms around her chest, Ida tapped her chin lightly with her fingers, thinking about senshi magic. Aiming had not been so hard for her starting out, since her magic had had a bit of a wide spray. It wasn't until she hit eternal that she'd had to focus more on directing her magic. How had she gone about practicing?
"I think I practiced on the job, so to speak... but I don't think that would be very safe for you. Negaverse agents are all older and stronger than you are right now, so its not a good idea to pick a fight with one." She said as she considered the issue. "Do you want to show me? So I can see how far they go. I think it would be a good idea if you tried aiming for me, too. I'm pretty strong, so I don't think you can really hurt me, and it'll give me a good idea how strong they are too."
Ida offered a reassuring smile as she backed up, putting some space between them.
"Let me know when I reach the edge of your range, ok? That's an important thing to figure out too, if you haven't. Protecting people is an important thing, but its also important to keep yourself safe. If you get hurt, then there is no one to protect people, right?"

Christabel listened to Ida mention practicing on the job. That made sense to her since the best practice would be when you are in trouble. It was basically a survival instinct, or so she assumed. Somehow, she had never been in a situation like that before. When she heard the Negaverse was stronger and older than her, that made sense. She needed to figure out how to become stronger. She needed to find a way to beat the Negaverse. Christabel was determined to find a way. She was not going to let her age hold her back.
She listened to her, and when she mentioned she would help her. She was so excited that she had someone to practice with. "I would love to do that, thank you so much!" she said in her jolly tone. Hearing she couldn't hurt her put her a little bit at ease.
As she watched Ida back up, she noticed she got about 8 feet. "Right there! And I'll make sure to remember that. Thank you for the great advice. Sometimes I forget that I need to keep myself safe," she said. It was the truth. Sometimes she got so focused on helping others that she forgot about her own safety.
She shook her head and realized today she was going to try to do her best. So with that, she yelled, "Here goes nothing—Kissing Blast go!" With that, she posed cutely and blew a kiss and an array of mistletoe berries headed in Ida's direction. She hoped with everything she could that her attack would at least get close.Kissing Blast Attack If they burst on impact, they have the potential of leaving a sticky residue that the target will have difficulty removing. If they do not burst, they cause discomfort akin to being pelted with a series of small, hard berries. In addition, the residue or pelt sites have the potential to leave a temporary stinging sensation for the remainder of the attack time. Impact is determined by player's discretion. Attack lasts 20 seconds. Can hit 1-2 people per attack, 2 uses per battle. Whimsical Blue Totally fine. My bad I missed this tag. ><

When she found the right distanced, the older senshi turned and settled herself to wait patiently for the chibi's attack. Mistletoe... that was a plant-based sphere. What did she know about Mistletoe? There were the traditions around it during the holidays... but beyond that...
Mistletoe was a parasitic species. It infected other plants to steal their nutrients. If the plant was sturdy enough, and the mistletoe wasn't too rampant, both could survive, but if that balance was ever thrown off... Would Christabel's magic have a draining effect? Lore around the plant gave it mystical powers, from what she'd read... it was thought to be life-giving, or to ward of evil spirits. Its likely her magic wasn't a defensive type, or she wouldn't be worried about aiming it. It probably also wasn't a healing type magic, or again, she wouldn't be struggling with it so much. Most of the plant was toxic and dangerous in large quantities... maybe that would come out through the magic?
Ida tensed as the chibi shouted her magic phrase, squinting her eyes against the rush of magical berries aimed her way. She let it come, judging the distance before she danced back away from them, moving to see how far the magic would reach before it gave out.
"That was a good one!" She called as the last of berries fell to the ground, offering the child a warm smile. "You can reach pretty far with it. To about here, I think."
Ida gestured to the edge of the berry spray.
"Do you want to try again? This time, I'll let them hit me so we can see what they do."
Berries were an interesting expression of the magic... maybe they stung when they hit? They'd have to see.

Christabel watched as her attack had made its way to Ida. It was interesting to see how far back the magic would reach before it just stopped going. She had never considered that fact before, that she needed to make sure she hit the target before they reached that distance. That way it might hit a little easier. She made a very quick mental note in her mind of the distance. Since she was determined to learn everything she could to be the best Chibi Senshi she could.
"Wow that's amazing! And Definitely! Thank you!" she said so excited to see just what her power could do. She was already learning so much. Who knew what else she could learn next?
Once again she yelled, "One more time! Kissing Blast go!" With that, she posed cutely and blew a kiss and an array of mistletoe berries headed in Ida's direction. She watched her berries head off and she was focused on watching them reach their target. She had faith in her berries - they had to do their best this second time!

Ida braced herself as she waited for the magic to hit her, prepared this time for the spray of berries. Arms up in front of her face, she felt them pelt her body, some exploding with little squishy pops while others bounced off and fell to the ground.
The residue of the magic... itched, turning into a sting to match the places the hard berries had hit her. It hurt, of course, but not so badly. Enough to be a good distraction to give the chibi a chance to escape, or to take down some kinds of youma. When the sting finally began to fade, the eternal straightened up and grinned at her, coming over to join her.
"That was great! I think that works pretty well for you. If you hit someone with it and then run, you have a really good chance of escaping if you need to. I think that was a really good bit of training." She said warmly, smiling down at her. "Do you feel more confident? Is there anything else you want to try out?"
