Yuri had spent the last three hours in bed. This night, time after time, he had tried to shun the moonlight, but could not. He could not bring himself to sleep for anything — not after what happened. It was true that the man had tried to process it the best he could, but his best would just have to be good enough. There was no explaining the strange change on his skin and the change that had occurred in him. If he closed his eyes, he would see the image on his skin as if in a dream. There was no avoiding the calm light of the rising moon now. Yesterday had been the most beautiful sunset in a long time and it had been oddly comforting as if maybe, just maybe, he could lay like this forever, the vision of his last time on his world and the starseeds he helped send home staying with him. But the starlight was a constant reminder that there was an answer. Yuri felt a familiar presence as he walked streets he had been down all his life as if he were a sleepwalker. He felt a burning in his chest that he knew well. What a feeling he had tonight! Without meaning to, Yuri followed the aura he hadn’t felt in years… “Camelot!”Erytheia steeped into the middle of it all as the moonlight caught his transcendence markings and he gazed right back at the royal knight. ✪

The Royal Knight of Earth was troubled this evening, though he was unsure what the cause was. He looked up at the sky for answers, as he often did, but of course it remained silent and unwilling to offer anything for his trouble and time. He supposed that was par for the course: the stars only revealed things to them on their own time.
He heard a voice, turning to see the source. He looked confused for a moment, knowing he knew this knight despite all the very obvious changes, before his warm green eyes widened and a smile reached them.
"Ah, Erytheia! Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it! Sorry to sound like such an old man, but look at how you've grown! In power, obviously, but other ways, clearly. Congratulations, those markings are not easy to earn." The Royal Knight seemed to immediately forget his anxiety from before, immediately curious and excited to see someone he had known long ago looking so confident.
Of course, he could not hide (and did not try to) the pride in his face at seeing a knight reaching such a high rank. At least some efforts were marked with obvious signs that he could see, but he was still curious about the journey and how the other was doing.
He offered his hand in greeting, though he had always been a bit of a hugger.
It was just fatherly instincts, and he tried to be respectful above all else, so he tempered himself.
"How are you doing?"

“It feels like forever, but, somehow, like only yesterday.”Erytheia had been only a page and just freshly awakened when he had first met Camelot. He was eighteen then. Now he was just turned twenty-five. Still young, but not baby-faced young. Well, maybe still a bit baby-faced. His face was just shaped like that. He went in for the hug. “The markings are a new development. And it’s a long story. But, first, how have you been?”✪

Camelot nodded his head with a bubble of laughter. He knew that feeling all too well, when things seemed to constantly be changing around him while he felt like he stayed the same. Time had a strange way of slipping away far too quickly, though when he saw the results of that time he could not help but feel proud and happy for the White Moon and his fellow knights.
It was what he always wanted, after all, no matter who he met or how far along in their training and growth they were. He always wanted to see that growth, to witness the fruits of their efforts and simply to know that they were still pushing along, still growing, and just still alive and fighting the fight. They lost so many, for various reasons and in so many ways, it was never a bad thing to find that time had not, at least, defeated another of their ranks.
He hugged Erytheia tightly, his armor surprisingly not getting in the way of it. Or maybe he just had a lot of practice with big dad hugs that he knew just how to get around the limitations of his outfit.
"The markings are amazing, they truly are! And I've been well, considering. I certainly can't complain, anyway, and wouldn't, when I know Chaos is always creeping and waiting for its chance. I have a lot to be happy for, and keep working towards. Even the stressful things, like a few Negaverse soldiers that keep popping up in my life, I'm strangely thankful for."
He laughed, knowing things would never be easy. If they were, he would start to worry. The complications just meant he was still alive, still a moving part of a much bigger construction, and he would accept that role for as long as he was capable.
"Now, how long is this story? You don't have to tell me, of course, if you don't want to! I'm just very curious about how far you've come. It's astounding, and I'm sure you worked very hard for it."

“I’m glad you are doing well. Chaos has its way of showing up just when you could really use a break.” He pondered exactly where to start and that seemed a good enough place. “Well, I had some Chaos on my wonder. Sealed there, according to my ancestor, Yuki. It hailed from his time as a knight. Unfortunately, it had corrupted the tree where the Code Piece was located. Once it was defeated, I had to find a new place for the Code. And it didn’t want just anywhere, either. I had to place it in the Beacon and that required five other Cosmos knights to connect the points of a star. It tested each of them, too. Is the Code always that difficult? At least, my piece seems to be.”He laughed. “That seemed to attract starseeds that needed rest on their way to the Galaxy Cauldron. Apparently, that was the purpose of Erytheia in the past. Giving them to Cosmos to return and be reborn was the ritual for transcending.”✪

"Ah, that's a wonderful purpose. I recently discovered I can help send Starseeds on their way a bit, with a bit of protection and a boost. It is nice to know that they have some place safe out there, with everything that would do them harm or use them for wickedness. They've already lost the life that was granted to them, after all, and it is a shame they would suffer further at the hands of chaos."
He smiled warmly, thinking back to that fateful night when Painite appeared, tears and pain in her eyes, and he helped her in the most vulnerable moment he had ever seen in such a powerful Negaverse soldier. Starseeds held so much power, and not just in the way the Negaverse utilized them for. They even whispered their final thoughts, their final wishes, meaning not all life was gone even when a body died.
They were treasures, and were meant to be defended and protected just like everything else on the strange and wonderful planet they struggled to share.
"It sounds like it was a trial, but you wear the results very proudly, and quite well. It truly is inspiring to see! It makes me think there might be more I could on my own Wonder. Besides rebuilding that castle, of course," he chuckled. That was more of a side project he had been working on over the years. It was amazing how far he had come from the ruins he first found.

“You can protect starseeds on their way? How?!” Erytheia was quite excited. He’d thought he knew quite a bit about starseeds now. But he only knew of Cosmos being able to do anything like that. There was always, even now, things he did not know. “It’s good they have places — and people — who watch out for them.”✪

Camelot looked thoughtful for a moment, holding his hand up after a moment, though there was no starseed in it. He imagined it, pointing a finger on his other hand at the flat palm.
"I've only done it a couple of times, which I suppose is a blessing in it's own right. After all, the fewer starseeds I have to see in such a state, the better, considering they are past saving by that point. At least the lives attached to them. But I can at least return them to the Cauldron, and to do that I share a small part of my power to encase them in a little barrier, and give them a bump of speed on the start of their journey. If they were hanging on to a thought, or a final goodbye, they are able to share it before they are gone."
He looked saddened, thinking back to the woman's starseed that Painite had brought to him. How devastated the General had been, and the wish the flickering essence of a lost life had asked before it was gone.
"It's not much, in the scheme of things, and their long and difficult journey is far beyond my knowledge. But it makes you wonder, how many other worlds and people out in the universe aid them along the way, as well. How many paths and journeys there are to take, even beyond life as we understand it. It's all very curious."

“The starseeds that I encountered. They each had a message, too. They showed scenes from their lives.”Erytheia was fascinated at Camelot’s explanation nonetheless. He knew it was sad that the starseeds were as they were. That meant a life had ended. He knew it a little too well now, in fact. Each of the starseeds on his wonder had shown him the finial scenes of their lives. All were tragic. Perhaps, that was why they had needed more time to rest on his wonder. “It does make you wonder, doesn’t it? What else is out there that we don’t know. I kind of wish I had asked Cosmos more questions. Although, I have a feeling she wouldn’t have answered.”✪

Camelot smiled, though it was a little sad. He was glad to hear that people could see these stories, even the last moments and saddest parts of them, just because it meant a starseed was a still a precious treasure. It had life still inside it, even if it was in the form of memories and feelings that would be preserved after their long journey to whatever new fate awaited them.
As sad as every end could be, a new beginning was always exciting.
Sighing and shaking himself out of his thoughts, he rolled his shoulders a bit to stretch his back. His armor was not heavy, not really, but staying in one place for too long never seemed to agree with him regardless. The heaviest thing about his Royal Knight form was, in fact, the cape, but even that he sometimes failed to notice. He was used to it all, by now, except when he really focused on it and started over thinking.
"I suppose it's often said that it's the journey to those discoveries that is most important. I'm sure we will keep finding new things, and expanding on what we only know a small bit about. Everyone has a journey to take, after all, and with so many bright and powerful starseeds out there, I'm sure we have only just begun to see what is out there for us. And here, for that matter. Destiny City never fails to surprise." He chuckled, shaking his head.
"I'm sorry, I've just been babbling at you, and asking you all these questions. I'm sure I've taken up a lot of your time already, and you must have more important things to be doing," he chuckled, knowing he was a chatterbox.
