For the starseeds, the answer was quite simple. He’d found one on his first visit back to his wonder after the Star Mount Beacon had activated. It had just been floating there, plain as day. As if finding a starseed on Erytheia was the most natural thing in the world.
Well, at least according to his ancestor Yuki, it was.
Yuki had told him what the purpose of his wonder was a long time ago now. It was a resting place for starseeds on their journey back to the Galaxy Cauldron. It was one of the last stops, too. Yet even the ghost couldn’t tell him where Erytheia was in comparison to it.
But the emphasis had always been just that — was.
And that’s what brought him to the Moon Wells. They had actually been one of the first things he had found on his wonder, he had just not known it at the time. There had been little torii gates spread about the vastness of the windswept wonder, most in a state of ruin. Perhaps that is why he had never noticed what they were actually for.
It wasn’t until life returned back to his wonder that the water did, too.
———
Erytheia spared no time in bringing his charge straight to the source. What was seen by —— was a similar scene that he’d shown the others. Except with one main difference.
Each Moon Well had a torii gate, a stone circle and a crystal clear pool of water. Each varied in their own way, but they were all instantly recognizable. It was almost as if by design.
But there was a glowing light at the center, hovering just over the pool.
The light was red-orange.
“Ever since the Beacon lit after placing the Code Piece inside, these have been appearing at Moon Wells all over Erytheia.”
And as you approached the edge of the rippling pool, you could see now what it was.
A starseed.
“I need your help guiding this starseed back home.”
Quote:
If you are playing a starseed, the primary way for it to communicate with your character is through the Moon Well. Starseeds cannot speak and can’t directly answer questions. They can, however, show you scenes from their life in the reflection of the water.
If you are not playing a starseed, the same applies, except that the starseed will go on Erytheia’s turn. Erytheia can assist in interpreting what the starseed is trying to convey. Ultimately, it’s up to your character to determine the message it is sending and help it model ready to move on.
It was interesting going to wonders that were not his own. At his own, he could barely see anything beyond the light of his phone flashlight. Here, it seemed so different; a beautifully crafted gate, a circle, and no question of what lay in front of him. "I know you didn't craft this place, but whoever did, did a wonderful job." He laughed merrily, glancing to the knight of Cosmos standing nearby. "Got a lot of good things to look at up here."
His laughter was light and charming, a wink following.
He could never really stop himself from an initial playful flirtation.
His eyes were soon taken instead by the light he saw from the corner of his vision, and his lips pursed in surprise as he looked it over. "Did you intentionally bring me to this one?" It was a red-orange, reminding him of the coloration of his own eyes. Orange, red, and amber, depended on how one looked at the colors, really.
"They're beautiful. What do you need me to do?"

thank you so much for your patience ;;
I’m helping a Wayward Starseed with… Name:Abzu of Neptune Would you like to play the starseed?: if you could I'd appreciate it! What makes your character fight on? What makes them stay?: Abzu believes in the good of people and humanity as a whole. He wants to see them thrive, and he wants to do what he can to make sure that remains that way. He knows he was born lucky and wants to share that.

“Yes. I brought you here because you may be able to help this starseed.”
Erytheia was oblivious to the subtle flirting, unfortunately. Partly because his eyes were on the task at hand. Partly, also, because he couldn’t tell if someone was flirting with him even if his life depended on it.
Luckily, neither his or the stareed’s did.
“I have only helped one other like this before, but I will share what I know. This starseed has been here for too long. This is a resting place for starseeds. That is the purpose of this wonder, after all. However, all attempts to get it to leave have failed. The place it now sits is called a Moon Well. It can reflect memories on its surface. I need you to touch the water and initiate its memory sequence.”
Abzu noticed that the subtle flirting was missed and decided that perhaps it was best to back off it for now. Erytheia seemed taken by the task at hand, and as much as he was always flirtatious, if Erytheia was not responding to it this was not quite the time and place. Perhaps he wasn't interested, or perhaps he was too distracted, but this wasn't the right time to ask.
He did offer a charming grin to Erytheia in any case, even if the subtle hint of his own appearance was missed.
"A resting place, but not the final one," Abzu murmured, thoughtfully, looking over the red-orange that glowed soothingly back at him. It was familiar in some ways, sad in others. He knew that this one had not been consumed, but what had caused them to come here? Had they been murdered, or died of illness, or did they get to live a suitably long life before returning to this apparent infinite cycle?
Would his seed have ended up here if Pendour hadn't rescued him?
"Let's help them get to where they're supposed to go, shall we?"
Abzu leaned in, placing his fingertips within the waters.

It was as Erytheia had seen the prior two times — the starseed glowed and reacted to Abzu by shifting the water to reveal a scene. In a way, it was like looking into a mirror, albeit one that didn’t show you your reflection but a reflection of something else entirely.
The scene showed a city street at the prime of night life. Bars with their doors open, music permeating into the street, lights trying their best to illuminate the depths of night. A man walked this street with its street lamps and neon lights. He walked it like he knew it well.
He held an old guitar case and it seemed heavy in his hands. He walked on past the street lights and past several bars and restaurants until he was in a less well it area. He rested his case on the ground and lit a cigarette which provided what little light was left to the scene.
“It seems… okay.” Erytheia said with trepidation in his voice. His prior vision had involved a powered individual, a knight. Perhaps he had a civilian this time.
After he got over the initial surprise, which had caused his brows to rise minutely, he paused and watched, quietly. In some ways, this scene was familiar.
In some ways, Abzu actively sought out these places in the prime of nightlife, holding his saxophone case in his case. He didn't do it out of necessity but for fun, and that was the aspect where it seemed less familiar. The case held was an older case. He was seeking out an area to be by himself. He lit a cigarette.
Michelangelo did have a lighter to lend, but he didn't use his own for cigarettes necessarily.
It was familiar enough to feel like a home with the musical people he knew. Abzu knew people like this. He could name a few he had run the same circles with off the top of his head. Was this guy the same? An old kin, maybe, maybe not his own kin but kin nevertheless.
"He went to go smoke by himself," observed Abzu, moving his fingers around in the water. "That could mean one of two things, usually. He either wanted the space to himself for a few moments to recharge, or he needed it to reflect."
Reflection could mean a lot of things, too. Going over an event he just played and what he had done wrong, something he had seen, something tragic that playing his music had brought back to mind... Abzu had seen all of it, and he could sympathize with that.

Hopefully, it was just that. A few moments to recharge. Reflect. A simple smoke break, right?
The scene shifted slightly as the man looked up. In front of him was another man. He was mostly in black sans a velvet vest and silk tie that skewed more formal than most of the musicians out here. To each their own, he thought.
But the man didn’t have an instrument. At least, not one he recognized. He was holding something. Perhaps he had stared too long…
“What are you looking at? Well, I needed to pick someone tonight. Might as well be you, kid.”
The man was up close and personal much faster than the man thought possible. How had be moved so quickly? And that instrument. If it was one. It was a strange looking blade that was now at his throat.
“Well, this will do.” He said as the cigarette fell to the ground.
He moved the point of the blade over the musician’s heart.
The man went to fight. To use his bass case as a weapon. Do something to get the blade away from his chest.
The blade fell to the ground.
“Tsk tsk. You’re a feisty one. Good thing I didn’t need that.”
He pushed his hand into the other man’s chest as if it were nothing. A starseed glimmered its burnt color.
The man sunk to the ground, a look of indignation on his face. He hadn’t stood a chance.
“Oh. Didn’t be angry. Nothing personal, dear. It’s just business.”
