Personality: She was raised to believe in many odd tales and beliefs. Her mother practiced questionable arts which she passed on to Tuulitaika and continues practicing to this day. Whether it’s tradition or something new, Tuula is always questioning and seeking out what ways work best. She knows that she and her mother are considered oddities in the general Vandrean community, but it is all she has ever known, and it works for her. With that in mind, Tuula is also a bit of a loner. She and her mother live separate from the main village, visiting the hub just for necessities and the like. She had always been fairly independent, taught so from an early age. Socializing is a little awkward for her, preferring conversing with the trees than with others her age. She puts little thought into the feelings of others, unfettered by concerns of how others react to her. Everything she does has a purpose. It might not be clear to others what that purpose is, but onlookers can be sure she’s not acting on impulse and whimsy alone. Her main goal is usually oriented toward whatever is best for her finding success in her studies.

Starting History:
Veatrix grew up knowing exactly what she wanted out of life. She felt the magic in her bones as a youngling, and began tapping into it surprisingly early in her prentice years. Once she had found her touch, her life revolved around learning magic and how best to use it. In her early adulthood, she went to Tendaji to seek out other magic users and learn from their strange ways of utilizing it. On her journey, she learned many other aspects of mystical strengths; herbology, alchemy, chakras, and more. She couldn’t do everything, but she gobbled up the knowledge like a starving woman. When she returned to Chiume, she found herself.. not exactly getting the warmest welcome. Though she remained devoted to Azehra and Aisha, most felt that she had strayed too far from the proper Aishan path in seeking out the additional skills of the earthlings. Given the choice between letting go of her studies or being an outcast, Veatrix found a happy medium and built herself a home outside of the main village. There, she could continue serving Azehra as needed while pursuing her passions without disturbing the more cynical of her cousins and sisters. When the mystic came to her to reveal that a blossom was waiting for her, Veatrix was no less than stunned. Yet, she was also thrilled. She had gone to Azehra a few times to plead for a daughter, but she hadn’t dared to hope… Yet, here she was.
Tuulitaika bloomed and was taken straight to the home in the forest. While her community interactions were minimal as a youngling, Tuula grew up feeling nothing but fulfillment and happiness. She was just as hungry for knowledge as her mother, and eagerly sat through many lessons. They trained together in both physical and mystical arts, and regularly went to visit and pray at Azehra’s roots. The village maintains a distant but tolerant relationship with Tuula. After all, each new life is a blessing. Plus, there was a unique delight in how the young Vandrea somehow managed to think up new questions for her elders to help her answer during every visit. Besides; while their practices might stray slightly from the “normal,” both women remain true Aishans at heart and are willing to step up to put their skills toward the village’s advantage.
