As the year comes to an end, an abnormal cold snap has taken over Tendaji. The mountains of Zena are covered in a blizzard, and even the desert of Oba is feeling a bit of an abnormal chill.
[ What do you get up to during the cold? Do you find a place to warm up, or check up on a friend? ]

Though she wasn't particularly fond of leaving the island, Tuula knew well enough that there were some products that could only be acquired near or in the earthling towns. The earthlings carried a plethora of goodies that the islands simply did not and could not grow. Sharp grass and nondwa wings from Jauhar. Corals and water weeds from the Kahi islands. Rich mammu furs from Zena. Especially the mammu furs, in this instance.
Of course, it wasn't as though being around earthlings was truly that troublesome. Most of them avoided interacting with her completely, and any attempts at bullying were fairly easily deterred. It was worth the minimal interactions with the earthlings if it meant she had new materials to experiment on back at the hut. Each new item had so much potential to lead to some big discovery that she could use to help better the Aishan sisterhood as well as her own life with her mother. If this was the way to get the job done, then so be it. Plus, with this strangely bitter bite in the air, the mammu furs would be a welcome warmth back home.
She stopped outside of one of the stores in the town and leaned against the glass window to peer inside. She had discovered that if she looked hard enough, she could get a glimpse at anyone inside the shop before she even had to enter the building. This way, she could decide if the shop was too crowded without wasting the time going inside.
That being said.. she had no idea of the strange sight she was as a Vandrea standing there peering into the general store with her nose practically pressed up against the cold glass while a haze spread along the surface from her breath.
