On March 6th of 2022, the Fishaholics Anonymous guild turned a whopping 7 years old. It is hard to believe that the guild has been going strong since then, thought I must admit sometimes I am slow at getting things done. I cannot tell you just how much it means to me to have such a special guild still active, preparing for a new version of our beloved game. And I am so thankful that the classic version is still there to play (with some workarounds). Most of all, I am just really grateful that you all have had me as your captain over these years, and for all of your help making things so fun and supporting the guild.
I originally intended this to be a bit more flashy, but I know Staff is busy so I don't see us having the item grant or special forum. I sure hope it is still possible, keep your eyes out for any news on that. BUT, nonetheless, I hope you will enjoy some of the things in this little section of our guild forums just for you, our members.
I know we have over 900 people joining us here, but so many became inactive over the years and many left when the game first crashed. When trophy grants were backed up for a bit, I think some others left then. But when Flash ended, I think many others were put off by that. I just want you to know that whether you're active each day, or don't come back at all, I still won't remove you from the guild. You'll always be welcome back, even if it ends up being years of hiatus!
Another small update - at this time, I have three Painter's Palettes (including the guild submitted one) still long term sitting in the queue that have not been accepted. I also have two submitted Flaired Up in queue, one accepted. I hope that soon, I will be able to share many more of these Fishing themed creations with you. That being said, I know that tickets most likely will continue to be costly and backed up due to their demand. So I will not ask of you all to donate to any guild tickets again, but I WILL reach out in the future via guild announcements to ask if anyone would like to help with one on a personal note. Instead of using guild funds for this, my goal is to pass along some of our funds charitably in the form of helping new and old players be well-equipped in whatever means for the new game to come. And, I would like to start up Frequent Fisher Points again and reward you all for that, so it would help encourage fishers in that way too.
I apologize for my long ramble, I just would like to simply close and say that I really appreciate you all. You don't know it, but my actions and learning as a Captain and someone who tries to push for Fishing, well it has taught me alot about communication and how to relate to others. It has improved not only my social skills, but has reflected into my job and my work as well. I have found much more confidence in my words and my conversations with others, and I really think I can thank my time here for that. So, thank you for 7 years as we celebrate our "guildaversary" and here are to many more years!
