Some time in the mid-to-late summer, having rebuilt and reinforced the divider between Nachthaut's quarters and the observation room after his destructive outburst at the provocation of the balls, it had been decided to be in everyone's best interests if Aurelia(at the suggestions of Aurtrox) could get to work on teaching the feral beast-man some simple commands and finding out what- if anything- he could reveal about himself or his past.

Content to loiter in his large open area, having discovered all the walls and doors were reinforced with steel and magnetically sealed shut from the now-protected observation deck. The quiet whir of cameras panning and zooming to follow him with every move he made turned to become a subtle annoyance, and he had given up on trying to throw things at them after everything had been absolutely secured following the initial incident with the infinitely-spawning sticky-balls. So, he was merely sitting on the cool steel floor, sprawled open, taking in the new-ish surroundings and trying to adjust for what little amount he could.

Aurelia observed the strange creature on the monitors on the other side of the wall, debating where to begin. Training creatures was well outside of her job description. Outside of her skill set as well. She definitely needed a pay raise. Aurtrox would be happy as long as it could understand commands. He wanted weapons. Aurelia wondered if it could learn to speak. "Where did you come from?" She mused to herself, before reaching out with her semblance to read the creature's thoughts. She pushed the button to activate the intercom. "Nachthaut, do you remember me?" She asked wondering if the creature would recognize the sound of her voice. Did he know it was her who electrocuted him with the end of her staff when he jumped through the window? "We are going to go outside today." Did these words mean anything to him?

When the intercom clicked on with a quiet screech of feedback before Aurelia called out to him, Nachthaut's head snapped to attention at the wall where it was placed. Her voice sounded familiar, in the brief moment he had heard it before...something? He remembered passing out and a prickly tingling sensation all over, then some foggy mess of time before waking back up in the cold metal room again. Hearing the words 'going outside' seemed to trigger something in him, straightening up and clenching his fists with a snarl.
"OUT-SIDE?", a growling bestial voice boomed back from his mind as he growled in response. "GRRRIMMM OUT-SIDE? HATE...KILL GRRRIMMM", Nachthaut's broken mind could barely piece together words, much less a complex sentence, but he did appear to at least recognize words and have some sense of connection between outside and Grimm and his memories of them. Snarling louder, echoes of Grimm and panicked screams and fighting shouts rang through his mind.
They were the same ones that Aurelia had heard before, but there was this feeling that there were more memories too fractured and hazy to properly recall. Those were some of his oldest memories, and with his mind so broken, it'd be hard to piece them together into something cohesive, but there was one shredded puzzle piece in there: 'crim-son'. Though that frayed thread would have to wait until they got him at least partially rehabilitated into a normal person again, and that meant learning commands and getting along with others that weren't Aurelia or Jules or Aurtrox.

Aurelia wasn't expecting such a visceral reaction from the word 'outside'. It repeated the word angrily in his mind, before the sounds and smells of fighting and Grimm began to race through his thoughts in a whirlwind that made picking out details difficult. She would have stumbled if she hadn't already been sitting from the whirlwind. A few seconds ticked by before Nachthaut would hear the voice again as Aurelia regained her composure. "No Grimm today." She promised. "Training." At least it was clear Nachthaut was on their side. The enemy of my enemy. "Do you remember the lift?"

Nachthaut had briefly calmed down when Aurelia said there wasn't to be any Grimm, though her next word immediately got his mind burning again in a hateful frenzy. "TRAINING? FAUNUS HURT WITH TRAINING. LONG TIME," his mind raced, with the chatter and unease of young ones being taught to fight, and the rarity of being something she could actually see play out albeit a bit blurred and distorted. Series of panthera young ones talking of 'not being able to kill him' and shouting retorts within the vein of dehumanizing the humans, him, and...pain. Overwhelming pain for a while with nothing visually clear at all, then it all went dark and stayed that way. The memories of the pain, the straining against restraints, the stifled screaming through gritted teeth rushed to flood his mind for a few moments before breaking and turning vindictive, hateful, and eager for blood as his pain was replaced with theirs.
The memories were all a muddled mess of time, speeding over some less stressful moments and lingering far more on the worse ones, and soon enough the thoughts drifted away, forced to be distanced with great effort. "NEW PEOPLE NOT LIKE OLD. TRY TRUST. TRY...NOR-MAL.", was what he kept pushing into his mind, doing his best to calm down, until he heard the woman speak again with a question. Hearing Aurelia ask him if he remembered the lift, he could only c**k his head to the side and grunt dismissively with a shake of his head negatively.

Aurelia felt sorrow in her heart as the terrible images raced through her head. The Grimm were creatures of evil, made by the brother of darkness, designed to hunt and kill without discrimination. Some people seemed to be made from even greater darkness. While Grimm only killed, certain individuals took delight in the suffering of others. She could make out the blurry images of feline faunus children, Panthera if she was to guess. Too bad that tribes' destruction would be seen as aggression against all Faunus kind. Aurelia wished she could promise Nacht that they wouldn't hurt him, but they were at war, and in Aurtrox mind they were all tools. There may come a time when Nachthaut's suffering would further one of Aurtrox's goals. "We aren't like them." Aurelia agreed. "How did you end up with the Faunus?"
How could she describe the lift to him? "The lift goes up and down to bring you in and out of this room. You took it to get to the tournament."

Aurelia asking Nachthaut how he ended up with the Faunus was...a poor decision, to say the least. Almost incomprehensibly broken memories, far too chaotic to make much sense of as he tried to remember and force them out of the depths of his mind where they had begun to fade and unravel slightly, but Aurelia could likely piece parts of it together with her intuition and make a cohesive timeline.
It was when he was very young, and there were two adults with him, humans that he could very vaguely recognize amongst all of it, and countless others of humans and faunus all intermingled and blurred together. Going...somewhere, by way of...some unrecognizable transport, some wheeled thing with guns. Many of those together in a staggered line.
Then Grimm, and screaming and crying and...closeness with the two adults. Affection? Worry? Then brief relief, with Huntsmen and Huntresses coming to fight the Grimm.Then...Faunus. Bad Faunus, rushing in violently, taking people and killing others, and fighting both Grimm and Huntsmen and Huntresses outside. Then they came to take him, and the two Human adults he could still recognize were torn away from him and killed. Then it went dark, and he woke to his new living nightmare.
He had surprisingly broken out of his rage-filled mind for a bit, dropping to his knees as the memories came to a head. He stayed like that for some time, eventually staggering to his feet and turning to where he could remember being carted to and from the lift, though Aurelia might still need to guide him with basic directions.

More images assaulted her mind. Two adult humans, his parents perhaps? A travelling convoy of some kind with both races. Grimm. Fighting. Then suddenly Faunus were attacking human, other Faunus and the Grimm. It was hard to tell who was on what side through the blurry vision of Nachthaut. Then, who she assumed to be his parents were taken away and killed. Aurelia was glad no one was in the room with her as she wiped away a tear. "I'm sorry Nachthaut. We live in a cruel world."
After a few go forward - a little to the left - Aurelia managed to guide Nachthaut to the lift. The floor lifted him upwards smoothly and silently. Soon he would feel the sun on his skin and smell the fresh air from outside. As Beacon was up on a cliff the smells of the city were faint despite how close they were. He was in an open grassy area, but if he walked too far he would find the walls of the arena in one direction and a strange structure in the other. There were wood columns, ramps and nets. After a few minutes, he would hear someone approaching. Aurelia had to take the long way around to the arena. "For today's training, we'll be doing an obstacle course. A series of physical challenges you'll need to run, climb, crawl or dodge to get through. As you cannot see, you'll have to trust me and follow my orders to get through. Ready?"

Standing in the open, albeit enclosed, field with the wind and sun on his body felt nice, and Nahcthaut stood there still on the lift, waiting for directions to start as he tried to clear his head to focus on her voice and the obstacles ahead.
He was ready to start whenever she was. Eager, almost. Anything to be outside of that metal room.
