- Exploring (Scouting) He felt unsettled by how unprepared he had been for that ambush. Now that their sty is going to be extended, he is determined to establish a better understanding of Destiny City including the interurban trails, the buildings structures, downtown, suburbs, parks, or wooded areas.
Movies (Research): While Cy doesn't really connect well with the romance drama, Cy is actually oddly amused if not fascinated by the SciFi genre with humans' rendition of aliens and how space travel works. It's only a matter of time before he discovers Star Trek, Star Wars and Firefly. Other genres he gravitates towards are Historical, Documentaries, and ones based on a true story.
Destruction and reconstruction: Simply put, he likes to find trinkets or things that can be taken apart and broken down into their individual working pieces and put back together. No doubt a toaster was likely one of the first objects he did this with.
Virtues:
- Loyal Even with the lack of information surrounding events that happened in the past or the plan to remove Cadeus' starseed, Azrael's (Cypher's) loyalty remained with Lyndin and the other Cadets. First and foremost the other Valencians are blood they are family and no matter who they decide to ally themselves with, he will do what he can to protect them and put them before humans or this war between Order and Chaos.
Observer Cognisant of his surroundings, especially since he's on a world he isn't familiar with. Azrael tries to have a decent level of environmental awareness and tries to read the room, but when emotions are involved he can tend to get it wrong. Even so, he has a decent visual memory when it comes to the physical layout of a room he can generally remember where most things are (might not know what they are but with a description, he should be able to recall it).
Level-Headed Thinks with his mind rather than his heart. Tries to determine the most probable outcome for success and what needs to be done to achieve that goal. Right now it's finding ways to save their home and by doing that he's looking into the technology of Earth that has helped it progress through the centuries to the modern era. In terms of fights, he tries to remain calm so he can better assess the situation.
Flaws:
- Literal He isn't even going to try to understand Earth jokes or this thing they call sarcasm. Whatever is said to him or around him will be taken as is at face value and will react as he deems appropriate. This might escalate things if something is said in jest but for the most part, as long as it isn't a threat, he'll likely just look at the person unamused or shrug it off and go about his own business.
Uncompassionate Azrael doesn't understand or relate to extremes in emotions which may make him seem disconnected or emotionally stunted. When he smiles, it doesn't really reach his eyes which doesn't mean he isn't happy it's more that he's in a constant state of neutral. He understands gratitude, guilt, admonishment, disappointment. But depression, frustration, joy aren't something he can relate to.
Unapologetic - While he will own up to his mistakes and endeavor to do better in the future. The phrases 'I apologize' or 'I'm sorry' are not in his vocabulary. If he's offended someone, then let them be offended. Nobody has ever suddenly up and died from being offended. There are going to be lapses in communication, something to be expected, but he will just make a note to not make the same mistake and move on. This may make him seem like a standoffish a*****e and he's honestly ok with that. You either know this about him and accept him for it, trusting he won't make the same error again. Or you don't and move on.
