How about we all share the best ways we have found to save money?
I'll start with a list here from what I've learned:
1. Ditch Cable
-Seriously, it is so expensive these days! I remember back before streaming was as popular as it is now. It seemed like Netflix was the biggest one. Internet with cable was gonna cost us like almost $100/month. We decided that it wasn't worth it. We stuck with only our internet for school and such. Kinda glad we did in the end. Now a days there are so much streaming out there that is way cheaper than cable. When we want to save money, we just cancel the streaming service we have. Also, with things like Roku and such these days - there's some free streaming channels like Roku TV.
2. Cook at Home
-I mean, this one is debatable these days. Especially if you have food allergies or eat a certain diet - is it really cheaper to eat at home? I still think yes at times with some things. I mean, now a days it seems like the cost of eating out has gone up a lot - especially here. There used to be a nice Asian cuisine place my family loved and it seemed like with tip it was about $80 for us all to eat there (family of 4). The sweet lady retired and someone else bought the place. It was like $110 last time we went to eat with tip. gonk Even with fast food, it's generally like $20-$40 depending on what we can order. To think about making a hearty salad or soup at home even for one meal - cheaper, but in the end - healthier.
3. Cancel Subscriptions You Don't Use
-It can be easy to forget a magazine subscription or something. Always stay on top of those free trials, they strike when you usually forget you signed up for the free trial gonk
Now I want to hear a few more from you! biggrin
