Yui Hinata Shape shifting Professor
Yui in the form of a small kitten, curled up on the middle of the gym floor, he soaked in all the lighting as he snoozed there. Sure he'd heard a student was dead, not much he could do about it than keep his eyes on the area. He hadn't found anything that anyone else hadn't already noticed. So he ended up wandering around until he found a nice place to nap. Here he was curled up in the heavenly warmth of the sun, when clouds formed in the sky. A light rain. He yawned letting out a mewl as he stretched. The place no longer comfortable now that it had begun to rain.

Currently with a Cat?
Zen had just kept moving along as he felt well he didn't know what he was feeling. Mostly he just didn't want to think of feel at the moment so when he walked into the Gym he was more surprised than anything else. He never really spent time here, had no desire to as well. If he wanted to work out he would be out in the forest climbing trees or swimming in the lake, not a gym and not the pool. He rubs a hand over his face he needed to shave and he knows he looked like a mess. He started to move away from the door and look at all the strange equipment there to help people stay in shape.
He stops noticing a cat in the middle of the room, an odd thing to find a cat. "My what do we have here?" He asks the rather empty room not really thinking the cat would reply. He walks over to the cat and sits down about five feet away, "Did I disturb your nap?" He looks over to the window, "Or was it the rain?" he pulls his knees up to his chin and rests his head on his arms. "The world keeps moving even if everything changes." He mumbles to himself.

Yui heard footsteps. He looked over to see a student. Not one of his but a student none the less. He appeared kind. After he was done stretching he sat looking up at the student and blinking. He then turned toward the window with the rain to suggest that was what had interupted him. Then he walked over to the student and placed a paw on his knee. "It was a nice nap too. The rain just had to come and ruin it." He spoke in a far more masculine voice than what should have been possible from a kitten. He wondered if this Wizard had seen a talking cat before.

Zen watches the cat look at the window then come over and put a paw on his knee then a guy's voice came out of the cat. Well, talking cats were a new one. The cats he talked to before would rather show than talk. "You..." He looks away his eyes were already red from crying he did before, "Nothing here is ever as easy as it should be." couldn't one thing work as he thought it should. Maybe it was because he didn't understand most of the magic he was learning in the classes, ya maybe he just needed to learn to understand magic, "Umm cat? Do you think the dead can come back to life?" he asks not knowing if he really wanted a reply or not to this question. he saw the guy die after all.
He took notice of the red eyes as Zen looked down at him. It seemed to be that this boy had been crying. As to why he did not have a clue. "No.. I am not what I seem to be." He crawled onto Zen's lap and began to purr as he brushed against the boy in an attempt to calm him down. He heard the boy's question. "The dead do have a habit of coming back to life." He had to admit he'd seen his fair share of zombies, undead, and other atrocities in his life. Hopefully this had nothing to do with the dead student. "...Did someone you know recently die?" He tried to curl up on Zen's leg while he purred between saying words in an attempt to make the boy feel better. He would eventually have to give up the ruse of being a talking cat but he probably shouldn't scare the boy suddenly. "I'm a professor. I shape shift.. I hope that it doesn't make anything awkward. I could change to my human form if you prefer." He looked up at the boy as he tried to figure out what he could do to life ethe boy's spirits. He seemed pretty down.

Zen felt a little hope hearing that the dead tend to come back, but being asked if someone close to him died made him confessed. "Umm, I can't really say we were close. I really didn't know him long but I liked him." He rubs the cat behind its ear before the professor emits to being the shapeshifter professor. "That sounds like it is hard. Changing anything into something it's not always is." Tho he never tried to change his own body Zen has tried to change plants before ever have an apple with the inside of a grape? "Getting the inside to change is hard," he says thinking of that experiment with grapes.
"Sometimes you just meet people you connect with." Yui enjoyed the feeling of Zen's hands scratching him behind the ears. He began to purr as he curled on Zen's leg. "It can be pretty hard. Which is why I am here to teach others to use the ability carefully. I have seen too many people try to meddle in it when they have no clue what they are doing." His eyes blinked gently at Zen. "Yeah you don't want to see what a garbled mess their organs became. Sometimes, it takes a lot of magic to fix those cases and other times... Well, they shouldnt' have played with fire if they were afraid of being burned." He rubbed his hand into Zen's hand as he purred. "You are a smart kid." He could already tell just from spending a few moments with him. He didn't want to worry the student more than he had already been worried. He shifted away from the student and stretched his paws. "Did you want to go grab lunch someewhere? I"m getting pretty hungry." He often cared the most for students who seemed lost and confused. The air around him shifted into a cloud of dark shadow and he began to change from the cat to a man with a long pony-tail tied by a ribbon. A calm smile on his face. He held his hand out to Zen as to help him off the ground. "Its a pleasure to meet you."

Zen nods magic to fix a magic mistake makes since and pain lots of pain he wouldn't try to change his insides till he thought he could do it, maybe he should take a class or several. Hmm, as long as he didn't have to change his body till he felt more safe doing so it might even be fun. Then the cat started to change and really that was kinda cool, really nothing was very surprising to him anymore, even when he didn't understand half of it. "Wow that really amazing," he says.
Zen was trying not to think of what happened and it worked somewhat that is if he didn't let himself have a moment to think of it. "Food?" He had lunch but was that today or yesterday? "But it's raining outside." why food and raining went together one might never know but to Zen it made sense.

Yui paused for a moment to think of what to do about the rain. "You are correct." He was happy to see that Zen was recovering from the sadness he appeared to have when he first showed up here. Once he'd helped the student up he smiled. "How about we stop by my room. I think I have an umbrella that could work for the both of us." He nodded to himself pressing his hand on his face in thought. "Unless following me to my home would make you uncomfortable, in which case we could always try the kitchens. " He wasn't entirely sure what this student prefered. "I haven't seen you before, am I right in thinking you are new here?"" He then gave the student a moment to collect himself. Or did the boy already answer. He couldn't remember. His mind wandered to another boy who'd he'd adopted and wondered what his son was up to.

Wait the guy lived in the Gym? and there was a kitchen here? That seemed very odd and more unlikely than anything, "Sorry but umm wouldn't we need to go out to get to any of those places? Why not just ask the plants for help? or is it odd to do that? I grew up in the human world with my mother." His father should still be in the wizarding world tho where he didn't know. "I'm really new to the whole magic thing it's my first year here. All I know I learned really on my own and studying plants and animals. Plants tend to help me more than animals but really I think that because animals are all that more complex." Zen shakes his head for a guy who didn't know much about conventional magic he studied it on plants a lot and if it worked on plants then he sometimes tried it on animals, that was with the animal approval which was hard to get.

Yui gently placed a hand on Zen's shoulder. "There is nothing wrong with you. I'll be honest, humans are not the kindest creatures in the world." He removed his hand and steped away from the boy. "You appear to have some really neat natural talents. I'm sure you'll be able to learn all you need to here." He turned toward the door way. "Would you like to follow me to the cafeteria? We can see what they have served today." He continued to walk toward the door. He turned to look toward the boy. "Study to your hearts content." He gave the boy a gentle smile. "The world is like a cresndo of waves, sometimes they are gentle and sometimes they are turbulent, but in the end as long as your not drowning, you'll be okay." He wondered what his adopted son was up to, if he ought to invite him to lunch with them. He was from the human world as well, perhaps it wouldn't be bad for these two to get in touch. Only time would tell.
