The room is quite spacious, yet very reminiscent of a coroner's office in design. The walls and ceiling are plain white, with tiled floors that have drainage holes. The furnishing are of a very practical nature, including metal tables with raised edges, each large enough for a person to lie on with room to spare, and uncomfortable metal chairs for students to sit on. The lights are bright and the temperature seems to always be colder than other rooms in the school.
Along one wall is an area to store cadavers where they will be kept cold and fresh. Near the door hangs some protective gear meant to help students avoid the brunt of any.. Messes that may occur. A long counter stretches along that wall to the storage area, with three sinks. Tools both surgical and magical in nature are neatly arranged at various points.
In a corner further away from the work area are three bookcases that hold textbooks on necromancy, spirits/ghosts, the restless dead, and a few on related dark magics. Most are fairly basic or intermediate in the information provided. There are multiple copies of most of these books to allow for several students needing the same ones.

While many teachers chose to linger among the masses, possibly to assess the newcomers and greet favorite students, Seva Duvain instead disappeared into her classroom. She did not expect to have many students this year. Necromancy was a distasteful subject even among wizards, after all. Yet she knew that any students she would have, for what merit they would have, would come without her needing to seek them. And so she chose to direct her attention towards being productive. There were still some final preparations to be made for the first of her many planned lessons.. Nothing so interesting or dangerous as attempting the spells that necromancy was most well known for, of course. She may not care for her students, but she had no desire to deal with the consequences of the more spectacular failures that could happen.. βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ Country charmer, who are your kin? Sevastyan was walking the halls looking for a peaceful place to wind down...
This year seems like it is going to be a messy one, yeah? I'm drained just by being around these students. They must have some heavy magic...
He sighed and looked at the door of the Necromancy Classroom.
Hmmm...I haven't seen her yet this year...I should probably say hello and see if there is anything she needs to get this year started...
He walked up to the door and knocked lightly.
Hey Seva! You home?
He said as somewhat of a joke.

This time, she thought she would try something different. History would still be taught, of course, but she intended to give each of her first time students a pet project for the first two months. Quite literally, in fact. Days earlier, she had collected a number of dead cats, which had been carefully stored. She had checked their number against the number of students she would be teaching. While there were a couple more cats than were needed, that was not a bad thing. Spares could be useful. The necromancer was in the process of removing these dead animals and placing them onto the metal tables. She did not pause as a knock sounded from the door, though she glanced over after a few moments when she was questioned. "Clearly not." She stated coolly, either unamused by his joke or not recognizing what it was. Cerulean hues fixing upon the man that stood at the door. Sevastyan, another teacher. She had sometimes seen him in the last couple years, but only in passing. She was not very social at all. After a moment, she turned back to her task, bringing out a beautiful mottled calico cat. A gentle hand stroked the cat's cold fur as she laid it down on a table next to a grey feline. ".. What brings you here?" Her classroom was out of the way for the Emotion professor. βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ Country charmer, who are your kin? Where do they lie down? Sevastyan smiled at her and then noticed the cat. He looked around the room a bit since he's not accustomed to it yet despite gowning up here.
Nice decorating, yeah? I think it's...cozy...Vibrant...
He said a bit kidding trying to break the ice...They never really talked before and he was trying to know people more than he did in the previous years...
Did you need anything done while I'm doing things for everyone else? Trying to set up for a wonderful year. I'm also not sure that we have had more than...well this conversation...I just thought maybe there was something I can probably chat with you about and find some makings of friendship, yeah?
He said looking at the cold room. It was giving him some sort of chills like there was others tha belong to the great beyond still here.

"Is it?" She was not oblivious. He looked uncomfortable, yet like he was trying to seem relaxed. Perhaps he was. That was how his smiling seemed to her, anyway. She had heard students complaining many times about her classroom's.. Atmosphere. She didn't feel the cold like those children did. As the man began to ramble on about helping and talking, which he certainly did a lot of the latter, the petite woman turned to face him fully. A dull stare was fixed on him, waiting for him to finish speaking. She absently stroked the grey cat. Its fur was a bit rough, yet wispy. It was probably very fluffy in life, but now it just looked small. These poor creatures, with their lives cut short simply because no one came to give them homes. She had more sympathy for these dead beasts than the man's rambling. She had stopped paying attention at some point, only to blink as she realized that silence had returned. "I have everything I need. Is that all?" She gave no indication of an interest in continued conversation, although she did remain waiting. She was not interested, truly. Her purpose in this institution was only to teach. She had no interest beyond that.
.. Or maybe it was wrong to think such things. There was something useful that she could learn from Sevastyan. His presence did not only have to be an annoyance. As she recalled, he was not bad at his job.. And with his abilities, he likely had a good insight into the bright young minds and hearts in the student body. It would certainly be helpful if she had some inkling of what to expect this year.. She could plan accordingly, instead of having to 'wing it' as the children say. "Have you met any of this year's students yet?" βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ Country charmer, who are your kin? Where do they lie down? Sevastayn was looking at her talk and how emotionless she was...They were totally on the opposite sides of the spectrum ...She seemed really cold compared to him and he wasn't about to acknowledge it out loud but he sure was thinking it. He also noticed his joke didn't seem to land either....
Well...Not really...I mean it's a room...and it suits you...I guess is what I should say....
He then heard her ask about this years students..
Ah, yes! I've met a few. I like them all, well...most of them, I think there are a few that are going to cause us some issues...you have a student named Mercy I believe...She's one I and Lavi want to stay away from...she's not very nice it would seem...so good luck with her...
Sevastayn said as he scratches the back of his neck.
I haven't really met any other necromancer students this year so I feel like you are going to be on your own with them, yeah? I didn't expect you to ask me about students...You seem indifferent to them...
Savastyan then looked at her in a shocked surprised look like 'did I just say that to her out loud?'
Anyway, I guess it's good to know you don't need anything...I guess....uh...I should get out of your way now...
Sevastyan said backing away to the door...

He was clearly trying not to sound insulting as he said that the room suited her. Factual statements, with an awkwardness that even she could easily tell. "Thank you." She only nodded, allowing his awkward moments to pass without drawing further attention. She didn't feel the need to, really. Aside from that fumbling, he was quick to answer her query about the students. He couldn't tell her much, but there was still merit in what he had to share. A prospective student who had already made one teacher and the counselor want to avoid her? That sounded quite promising, and like there could be trouble. At least with this small warning, she could be prepared for it. "I will handle this Mercy, if she is troublesome." The man soon followed with pointing out her indifference to her students.
The necromancer blinked slowly, dipping her head in a small nod as if acquiescing to something. "I cannot be an effective teacher if I know nothing of my students." And that was the extent of her interest in them. Most would prove to be unremarkable, she was certain. Such was the way in all branches of magic; there could only be a few shining stars. These were rare gems to be fished from a pool of often dull stones. "I have noticed that our peers often take an close interest in them..." There were noises coming from the hallways as they talked. Distant cries, echoing from somewhere.. Not so far away, yet far enough to be indistinct. Her eyes narrowed slightly, gaze becoming distant before she abruptly began to move. Walking briskly forward, towards and then past Sevastyan even as he backed himself towards the door. Her door, which she was already moving to step through. "That would be for the best." She stated coolly as she left her classroom. There was trouble happening today..

Sevastyan and let out a breath of relief as she left. He wasn't so fond of Seva from this point. not because he hated her but because he felt she hated him. She was so cold and giving to many cues that Sevastyan would avoid her if at all possible.
Maybe it's just Necromancers...
Sevastyan then turned and heard the voices like she did and quickly followed behind her to get at the noise...
