Welcome to the Halloween Ball at Metamorphose Sanctuary!
For years, Halloween has been a very important time for Metas, ironically being a kind of month of new chances, blossoming friendships, and even love. It's not uncommon to hear two lovers having met at the old Halloween balls that used to be held at the academy or even in various October balls in Belosh throughout the time the academy had been closed. In time for the celebration of Halloween, Headmaster Rhun is back in charge after *rumors* made him flee for his life, he is happy to be back for things to have calmed. During his absence new metas that now call Sanctuary home, pitched in to help decorate the ballroom and grounds with fun and spooky decorations. The dance held in the indoor ballroom set up with a dance floor, many tables, open areas to stand and mingle. There are tables lined with all kinds of free food and drink, and even a few party games. There is a huge haunted house to the side of the building outside and there is an outdoor area to just relax under the moonlight. Everything has been decorated for the occasion and is being chaperoned by Mirabelle and Lilliana while Headmaster Rhun, Nova, and Avaon investigate what metas have been causing so much trouble. The way this RP will work is almost in an AU style. You may enter your characters as you see fit. It'll go on throughout October and in the end, you may choose whether this affects your character as canon and fit it into the story where it is convenient for you. Or you may choose to regard it as non-canon and disregard specific interactions between characters specifically. (Although, I obviously encourage the former.)
There is no specific post order since characters will interact at different paces, so be sure to tag who you're responding to so they are aware when you've responded to those characters.)) -New metas can be created for this rp and the sign up rp. After the event they may be made into full characters and rp. (Art is not required to rp but can be bought from commissioning an official metas artist at a later time) - Be respectful to each other OOC. -No power gaming: don't control characters you do not own or force them to take a hit. -Try not to play your characters too over powered. Adult would be like superhero level, teen side-kick, while child and toddler are newbies.  Mara was grinning a little darkly in her dragon costume as she moved through the crowd of dressed up metas, keeping an eye out for any trouble. Funny how a crowd of metas were indistinguishable from humans dressing up. What horns were fake and what horns were actually real? All in all she would still rather be back outside but some people were still sore they had to call her and NSIU at all to keep an eye on trouble. It was to good not to pass up if only to twitch their nose. Tables were set and the ballroom was decorated with ribbons and sighs while children of all races converged on the snack table then rushed toward the open space to either place or dance. Not much dancing right now but there could be some and she got to watch it all under cover hahaha. Moving around the edges of the room itself she focused now, glancing for any suspicious person but didn't really expect anyone. Tri should be around as well as who ever Zaku sent or Lucian or which ever. Reaching out she snuck some rock candy on a stick from the table and continue on munching happily.

Dagiel arrived at the dance, he'd been given trip by teleport, something he was still adjusting too. He wasn't sure about being here, he didn't like crowded areas, but he had promised Kat he would attempt to make friends; And what better a place to start than the Halloween Dance. He'd hand made his outfit and was mildly proud of it because he felt like it hid his face well, he'd stitched his vest out of old teddies he'd found and been given permission to use, so it was nice and soft. He had contemplated coming as a dragon and was going to get wings and all sorts when Kappa had a laughing fit at him because well... River dragons like her don't have wings! He'd gone bright red because he also realised he had never really asked her what she had looked like before. Well, he made his mind up when he saw a dusty old paint faded lion mask in storage and decided he'd fix it up. He walked into the venue a little shyly still looking around, he wondered if anyone would notice if he just hid under the snacks table. Naturally that meant he started heading over there checking out what snacks were available... One thing he hadn't thought through.. How would he eat without taking off his mask... He considered taking it off for a moment but looking at the yums on the table he shrugged and snagged a cupcake with vampire fang decoration on top and not so shyly stuffed it into his mouth from under his mask leaving slight traces of icing and cake fluff on the edges of his mask.

Melek, f, fallen, mask; cupid Yelena, f, muse, spider on firewood; horse Hiram, m, werewolf, trick-or-treat bag; witch Three young metas entered the ballroom adopting various levels of awe as they took in the scene. Though they may have helped with the decorations, seeing the lights casting their spooky light, the decorations, and full of milling bodies, the atmosphere was vastly different. Each had been at Sanctuary for just a short time, so they knew very few other metas, and that in itself was a little daunting. One child grabbed hold of the other's arm. She wore a horse costume, and her arms looked strange coming from the horse's neck. "Wb fubbma fhh." It was difficult to be heard through the rubber horse head. "Haaa...." she groaned in annoyance. Beneath the horse, natural body jewels decorating her eyes and long blonde hair, was an attractive girl. Attractive, that is, from the waist up. From the waist down, she had the body of a spider, and that would scare just about anybody. But she was like any other young child, easily frightened and clinging to her friend. "Don't tell me you are thinking twice about that costume already. You make a great horse." "Ma'raa!" "Don't 'Melek,' me, you're so funny right now." "Melek," was a girl that had half a decade on the first but almost the same height. She was tiny, but built on a solid frame. She had a deep voice that, together with her features, made her seem like she would be a boy. She liked it that way. Her costume was a white jumpsuit with a heart-shape over her heart. A white, cottony belt wrapped around her waist and a scrolling red design with hearts decorated her stark-white face. Slung on her back like a backpack was a quiver of fake arrows and a "bow." Cupid had arrived at the party. "Rrr!" "You want some snacks? Let's see what they have to eat!" "Oop!" The girl bumped into the third child. "Furryy!" "It's all right." This one towered over the other two and spoke with a deeper voice to boot, though he was the same age as the tiny spider girl. The pair stared up at the "giant" witch, feeling a little intimidated. "Well?" Melek demanded, then quickly deflated. "Let's go then." "Uh huh." The two girls quickly retreated to the refreshment table. The boy was left where he had begun, alone again. His parents had left him in Sanctuary with no one to watch out for him. It was daunting, especially at this time of year. It was supposed to be a holiday that metas enjoyed most of all, but he was alone with no one to celebrate it with. He tugged on his skirt uncomfortably-- what had he been thinking, wearing this witch costume-- and glanced back at the refreshment table. He saw someone in a lion costume stuffing his face with a cupcake and decided that was a good place to start anyway. When he arrived, he noticed the frosting stuck to Dagiel's mask. "Be careful, or you'll ruin your mask." He ventured a grin and offered a napkin from a tower of them nearby.

Pyper link f. kitsune. mp3 player. mario Ivan link m. kitsune. vr googles. luigi Two kitsunes made their way to the ballroom. Twins to be exact. One was a girl, her white fox ears were a bit strange. They were hard and plastic-like, with pink speakers built into them; almost like those kitty headphones you could buy at the store. She wore a red cap with a letter M on the front. And her long fluffy white tail stuck out from the overalls she was sporting. The other was a boy with matching overalls. He had bright blue eyes, that looked as though they had digital data flowing through them. They were quite sparkly and always drawing people’s attention. He tried to hide them though with his green cap that had a letter L on the front. He pulled it down to hide his gaze. “Remind me again why I have to be Luigi. Games are kinda my thing,” Ivan complained, adjusting his fake moustache. He would have preferred to be the main hero for Halloween but his twin sister, Pyper, kept insisting it suited his personality more to be Lugi. Which he was not happy about. Luigi was the uh….meeker? of the two. Truthfully this was the case with Ivan but he didn’t want to admit that he was rather shy and withdrawn except when dealing with family. Pyper pulled on his arm, hurrying him along. She simply shook her head and chuckled at all of her brother’s complaints. She was happy to be the Hero! The star! The main attraction even! She bounced along until they entered the room. That’s when she spotted a table with candy and made a mad dash over to get some. Ivan pulled his green hat down even further, causing his snow white bangs to fall in his face and hide his embarrassed expression. How did he let Pyper talk him into leaving the apartment and coming to this dance anyway? His fox tail twitched with slight irritation, as he shuffled along after his sister. He might die if they got separated and he had to hold a conversation with a total stranger! “I better keep an eye on her. If she has too much sugar…” he trailed off, not wanting to think what kind of hyper shenanigans she might get into.Pyper on the other hand was all too eager to socialize. After eating a few pieces of candy she went up to the closest group of people to say hello! “Hi!” she greeted everyone at the refreshment table. She was rather loud, but friendly.

Estrella; F; Xana; Mood Ring ; Angelic Princess Estrella walked into the ballroom looking around, she was dressed in White Dress with wings and stars dotting the wings they were designed in the shape of the Virgo constellation or also known as "The Maiden" constellation. Her hair was tied up into a princess-like updo with a tiara. She subtly used her light powers to give off the effect that she was glowing in the evening night. Her outfit was complemented with her mood ring and a necklace that said her name "Estrella". She scanned the ballroom with her eyes to see if there was anyone she knew, but so far she didn't recognize anyone or know anyone. She made her way over to the candy table and helped herself to some of the candy that was on the display.

Dagiel grinned from under his mask, it was tied to his head with a bit of string, "Thank you" he said as he accepted the napkin. It was a trifle hard to see through the holes in the mask but it appeared to be a really tall kid in a witches costume, "Awwh, cool outfit." he said as he tried to wipe around his mask, he couldn't see and he didn't know if he got it all but he also didn't really mind, he was bound to get more food spots on it later anyway. He chuckled as he said, "All we need now is a scarecrow and someone in a blue dress, and then were off to see a wizard." He winked through his mask at the kid in front of him, he could tell he was younger than himself, even though he was rather tall, "I'm Dagiel" he said and he held out his hand, the one not holding the dirty napkin, to offer it in a hand shake. His bright blue skin clashed with his orange hand stitched vest, and he still had his favorite blue shorts on, the ones with a dragon printed on the side. Since his recent event's and discovery, he now liked to have subtle dragon pictures around him, given that he couldn't tell anyone or even show them.
*Can I come out yet?* a voice in Dagiel's head asked, he glanced at the table, there was at least someone who thought to put out water with the treats. "You wanna see something cool?" He asked the witch in front of him.

"I like that game." Hiram the witch ventured.
"You again." Cupid Melek peered up at the boy, who was now blushing and looking away, then at the twins. "You are dressed as game characters?" The rubber horse head nudged Melek in a comical squishing nose boop. "Please tell us about the game! We have not played many games."
"Uh huh!" The horse mumbled loudly. She waved to Estrella, who was stunning. Someday she wanted to wear a ball gown with wings and light. "Ur brry byoothfal." Well, she tried to enunciate. Hopefully Estrella would understand. Next time I'm putting a vent in the neck so I can speak! she thought to herself.
Meanwhile, Hiram looked back at Dagiel. "Thank you," his deep voice leapt out on its own. He was surprised anyone would be interested in his costume. "Er, I sewed it myself." A scarecrow, and a blue dress. "I liked that movie. Wanted to read the books but they've been hard to find." He took Dagiel's hand and shook it. "I'm Hiram Orville Winfield. You can call me by any of those names... or H.O.W. I suppose," How said. "What cool thing?" Like any kid, he would absolutely love to see something cool!

Dagiel quirked his eyebrow at Hiram, "Hiram, I like your name, its different." He said with a quirky smile. Dagiel looked back at the table, his smile grew into a broad grin as he dramatically pointed at the water on the table, "Riiiise" he said in a voice like someone just created a frankenstein, "Riiiiise!" he said again with a wiggle of his fingers like the magician's at the kids parties. The surface of the water bowl curved up, and started to stretch up out of the bowl towards the ceiling before a part of it broke off, roughly the size of a softball, making what was left sploosh back into the bowl leaving a floating orb of water. Dagiel looked back at Hiram as the orb floated towards them gently until it was next to him, his grin still huge, he poked a finger into the orb and a shiny blue fish materialised in the water orb.
*Thank you!* Kappa said to Dagiel as she did a flip in the orb.
"This is my friend Kappa, she's kind of apart of me, " Dagiel said to Hiram, "Kappa, this is Hiram."
The fish in the bag seemed to be looking at Hiram.

Dagiel got an "oh" from the werewolf child. "Thank you." Having three names was different too, but his third name sounded like a surname. Dagiel's smile was infectious and Hiram couldn't help but become excited for what was rising. What he could do with the water was amazing! "Great job! And nice to meet you, Kappa." The fish was pretty to look at, and she seemed to be watching right back. "Is Kappa your item? Mine's a trick-or-treat bag. A real living animal is so cool."

Dagiel nodded, "Yup, she's my item. There was a bit of a mix up with the letters my foster mum received and she brought me the fish as a gift but-- I don't mind. It's kind of fun, and she can talk to me and-" *Shhh* He paused, he nearly said to much and Kappa pulled him up, "Err... She said Hi, nice to meet you." He said to Hiram.
*I did not* Kappa said sounding irritated, the fish looked around the room in her water bubble, *What are we meant to be doing here* Dagiel shook his head at her comments and said *Having fun*
"What would you like to do?" He asked Hiram, as he also looked about the room, "Anything you'd like to do, or maybe anyone you know here?" He asked Hiram, as Dagiel thought he caught a glimpse of Mara, but other than that he didn't know anyone here, "This is my first ever Halloween event." He said a little shyly to Hiram.

Ree: Journal: Riku (kh2) Sun: Journal: Rise(teen): no journal : Tron (full helmet) A white hair man wearing a blindfold and a very long black hooded trench coat made his way around the party looking around as if the blindfold wasn't interfering at all. Finally moving to a stop near the candy table, his turn to face the rest of the party, his face turning slowly as he searched for someone. At the same time his keyblade lightly tapping against the tiled floor in a quiet rhythm as he hummed. ------------------------------------- Rise was jubilant as he ducked his watchers and slipped ahead of them into the party itself and paused. "Woah.." he muttered quietly a grin blooming on his face hidden under the helmet he wore. Sadly this was the only way his own caretaker would allow his to come, no candy for him but he was doing to make sure to stuff his bag full of some at least for later. Wings folded in carefully against his back, the only thing off from the costume that hinted at sci fic tech with its led lights and glowing circular discs. A muttered cursed and two vampires followed him inside, they were dressed as a nobleman and women, how much of it was faked or genuine was up in the air. "Rise" the women muttered. "Don't leave the area" she looked relieved that finally arrived as Rise nodded with a hum and rushed to move away from them, one hand over his heart as it quietly beat. ------------------------------ Sun ran his hand through his pale pink hair, while similiar colored pink eyes narrowing in amusement as he spotted Mara and moved toward the pesudo dragon. " Mara! " He called.
Mara looked up staring at Sun and let out a soft curse. "I'll seriously injure you here in front of everyone and call it a trick" she warned but there was a faint smirk on her lips.
"...so violent" Sun grinned as he moved to lean against the wall by her. "You haven't perchance seen him?"
Mara snorted "Zaku? No but he's going to groan and call you an idiot for dressing up like him. Also he doesn't glow like a demented flash light " Sun laughed again "Oh you mean like the other four Zaku around the party?"
"If Li snipes you by accident I will laugh, that is all I am saying" Mara smirked, her eyes catch sight of a familiar colored Xana and his fishy friend.

"You can talk to each other?" Hiram's eyes went wide. "Oh, that makes sense though, since she's alive and she's part of you. And you are part of her. That means you always have someone to talk to." If he had been asked, he would have said that he was envious. "I don't know anyone here, except briefly and by name. Maybe there's a game we can play?" he suggested, looking around for some kind of Halloween or generic party game. As long as it wasn't Spin the Bottle he would be happy with most any game.

Nel edged her way into the ballroom, clutching her candy sack to her chest as she studied the other guests. Her ears, hidden under her costume's hood, twitched every which way as her gaze darted around the room, trying to spot someone - anyone - she knew. When she couldn't find a familiar face, she settled for the next best thing and darted toward the dining tables, hoping to pick up some candy and find herself a quiet spot out of the way.

Rise was taking a handful of candy and trying to fill his bag without making it seem like he was. It wasn’t as he could go trick or treating and it had nothing to do with being a teen but his caretakers and the last time they went out, right now was even risking it.
Humming quietly he moved to take another handful of the creme filled chocolates and froze as he took them right in front of the sheep girl who just appeared. “Uh ...hm Hi. Sorry wants these? “ he asked a little sheepish as he offered them out to her instead.
