We have an extra basket to give away from a Nature's Twist SC breeding and have a fun way to do it. This is a raffle but to get a ticket for the raffle, you'll need to put on your creative caps. To earn a ticket, we're looking for some form of artwork. You can do a quick doodle, a short poem, a quirky song, a painting masterpiece (one can dream can't they?) or even a funny dance tiktok video! Any art form is welcome, so long as the theme is POKEMON. It doesn't have to be of Tempest and/or Growly and the baskets, but that would be loved. heart

... A little about mom and dad ...
She was part of a zebstrika herd but she broke away on her own because she felt trapped within the herd and could never be herself. She didn't have a plan, just she had to run. Running became her escape not just from the herd, but from the world. When she runs she gets lost in the moment, focusing only on her breathing, the pounding of hooves on the earth and the wind in her hair. This became her normal. She did everything at a fast pace and would only slow down long enough to eat or sleep. That is what led her to Growly where she was finally able to slow down.
Originally from a land where herds were all the same Growly was born a little differently looking so instead of fitting in, he left, embracing his difference and finding this land where even twins weren't matching copies of each other. Growly is a 'cool' fun type of dad.. He actively encourages them to embrace anything that makes them different, he believes it makes them special, unique in the whole world and that is something amazing to him, given where he grew up and differences were very much frowned upon. That led him to these lands and bumping into Tempest quite literally. He adores the young and this shows especially in his own kids, they are often a bit spoiled and he needs reminding he's a parent not a sibling at times. However, his behavior will totally flip if his family is threatened and he can turn quite aggressive in defense of them. His love for Tempest and their children burns brightly in his whole being.
... the siblings ...
[owned by Moxxiie] [female] [fire and air twists] Zephyr is a little wild spirit who straight out of the basket is going to be trouble for mom and dad. Even her basket doesn't stay still. Every once in a while it will start shaking and jumping. She is very eager to get out of her basket and hit the ground running. Born with fire and air twists, she brings a little something different to the family.
[owned by Revel1984] [male] [air and fire twists] Thunder will have quite an explosive temper, literally at times, given the siblings extra gifts and it will take some time for him to control that to the point he will rarely get angry as an adult so that he doesn't hurt anyone he cares about when his gift flares with his emotions. He does love his family very fiercly and he will probably stick around his parents long after he's grown. No one is allowed to mess with his siblings though and he can be a bit over bearing given he's the firstborn, he feels it's his duty as well as his father's to take care of family.
This is the basket you will be entering for: [male] [fire twists]

A Bedtime Story for a Pokeball Thrown throughout their life and always missing. Constantly trying hard to not hit too hard. Don't want to hurt the Pokemon. Red light, blue light, no light.
Finally captured something for the Trainer. But it's so big, so strong, so powerful. They fight, hard. Win. Lose. Tick, tick, tick, tick, ding. Captured.
Years go by, without pulling the Pokemon from the box. Movement, finally. Someone checking, discovering, disappointing. Text goes by, over and over. Pixels start erasing.
A Pokemon is already inside. A young Trainer starting their journey alone. The Professor wants the Trainer to pick. They pick me. I wiggle for I am happy. I am chosen.
Ding.

Snowflurry did not enjoy this. The night had crept upon her faster than anticipated, bringing with it the impending storm. A storm that might well have put an end to her search. The driving rain made it difficult to see more than two inches ahead at any moment. The limbs and bushes whipped about by the wind, the potential to follow any physical trail growing dimmer with the increasing gusts and blasts of droplets. Snowflurry would not be denied, however. She would find her way to that which she sought.
But storms are unpredictable at the best of times. They can be calming yet unsettling, soft yet loud. They can give or they can take away. Snowflurry had grown to know the last all too well in recent days. It was the veritable tsunami earlier in the week that had separated her from her trainer, leaving her worried and lost. Perhaps she held a grudge for storms in general because of that, or perhaps she just wanted to be somewhere a bit less wet. Whichever the case, her mind had wandered from the task at hand. She had veered slightly off course from the last visible trail. Berating herself, she made to correct her position.
A powerful gust rustled the foliage all around. The harsh sound like a battle amidst the leaves and timber. However, there was another sound hidden within the noise. A low, frantic call that could barely be considered a whisper. Snowflurry stopped in her tread. Her ears swiveled around, searching, pinpointing. It was difficult to discern one sound from another in the torrent. The sounds seemed to bleed into one mournful howl. Yet, she stood in her silence. Waiting. Listening. THERE! That saddened wail was familiar to her. She would recognize it anywhere. Heart pounding, Snowflurry barreled towards the source of the sound, diving with reckless abandon through the thick foliage of the forest.
Branches snatched at her. Mud clung to her in clumps, matting her fur as the rain continued its assault. She cared not for herself though. That cry spurred her, guided her. Her consciousness was only for its owner. She had to locate it. Had to answer to it. All other thoughts faded until she had just that one. On and on she charged. Never stopping, always attuned to that voice. The maddening dash through the unfamiliar land all but a blur.
Barreling through underbrush, Snowflurry’s paw became caught on a wayward root. She tumpbled head over tail until she came to the a crashing halt in the middle of a clearing. The world spun, tilting wildly for a moment until she managed to catch her bearings. Clouds had overtaken the moon deepening the night. The voice she had been seeking had silenced. Panic flared within. She could not have lost it! It had to be there! Thunder boomed overhead. Lightning arched across the sky. For an instant, the whole world was alight in electric yellow. Snowflurry’s eyes locked ahead of her. Another set of eyes looked back. Tears sprang to her eyes, pooling to the brim before flowing freely down her fluffy cheeks. “Vuuuul!” She clambered forward with reckless abandon. “Vuuuuul!” With a single graceful leap, she launched into the air, barreling straight into the awaiting arms. “Snowflurry!” came the exhausted yet relieved cheer. “You’re okay!”
And okay she certainly was. For, after nearly a week alone, the tiny Alolan Vulpix had found what had been lost. She found the thing most precious- her trainer, her best friend. Snowflurry had made it home!

Once upon a midday searing, While I lounged, sunburnt and weary I lay under a tree, nearly napping When suddenly, there was a whapping! "Tis a pokemon!", I shouted As I leapt for the pokeballs, I counted Not one, not two, but three heads it had! And then I realized, as I ran 'Twas a Dodrio chasing me!
"Oh no! Oh no! Oh no!", I cried As my belt began to slide, I tripped, end over end I rolled And when I stopped, my cheek was cold. 'Tis when I looked to see My pursuer no longer chasing me But it gave a cry "DODRIO! DODRIO! DODRIO!"
As I looked upon it's visage, I knew that I was finished And as I said my last goodbyes To the Pokemon world and all it's types, The Dodrio slowly came to me, In all it's multi-headed glory, And with great surprise It looked me in my eyes. And with a soft voice, it cried "Dodrio"
