█BACKGROUND ▬ Thyra doesn't really know where she came from. She and her twin brother were much too young at the fall of Vacuo to remember their parents or a life before this. All they ever knew was The Hood, Rachel, and their adventure-filled life in the woods. The Hood rescued them from a refugee camp as babies, and raised them as her own alongside Rachel. Needless too say that having a vigilante for one guardian, and a crazed shark for the other, didn't exactly make for a peaceful upbringing. Rather it was pure chaos with a bit of utter madness on the side. At least she could say her childhood was never boring, not even for the smallest of moments. On one hand there was The Hood, teaching them the ways of her heroism, albeit illegal heroism. On the other hand the was their shark friend Rachel, teaching them the ways of... well, Rachel and the glorified ball of madness she was. If anything, the girl learned fro a very young age to never back down in the face of danger and to always fight for what you believe in, no matter the risks. Whether that was a good lesson for the little rascal that was already such a spitfire was hard to say. The two had their hands full with her, but truthfully they had no one to blame but themselves. They lived their life on the edge, always on the move. They could never risk staying in one place for long. As a Vigilante, The Hood wasn't only on the run from the law, but from the many enemies she had made over the years. Their days were spent mostly in travel, apart from the raids and heists. To Alois's dismay, Thyra didn't take well to traveling over long distances. She often overheated and her legs grew tires... which always lead to him carrying her most the way. Of course it was never something he agreed to, but Thyra clung to him like a spider monkey until he finally relented and accepted his fate. Their nights were spent around a campfire, listening to the many exciting stories their guardians had to share before falling asleep curled up together. As much as the two fought, they really did love each other.
Despite the constant mayhem, Thyra doesn't have a singular bad memory of her child hood. In fact, she remembers it all quite fondly. Memories that would become her only solace in darker days. The first eleven years of her life were spent in bliss... if a chaotic lifestyle of hers could really be considered such. That happiness all came crashing down around her when The Hood's enemies finally caught up with them. It started out like any other day. They took down their tents, packed everything up, and removed all traces that they had ever been there. They had only been walking for an hour, Thyra of course already complaining, when the first arrows struck. One of which very nearly pierced her heart. Her aura protected her vital organs, but it didn't stop the arrow from lodging itself painfully in her chest. The bandits, hired be the CEO of a company The Hood had stolen from countless times, were on them in seconds. Blades were drawn, metal clashing against metal. They didn't seem to care that Thyra and Alois were only children. They were just as brutal, just as cruel. The Hood was surrounded, one of them were closing in on Alois, while she was already locked in battle with one. It was in that moment that she first discovered her semblance. Rust colored orbs would glow as her body pulsed with vivid orange aura. Where the sun had once shown, clouds closed in around them. Heavy rain drops splashed down around them while hefty winds tugged at hair and clothes alike. It was with a blood curdling scream that a surge of energy burst from her. A deafening thunder rumbled the ground. The shock-wave was enough to knock the bandits over and rattle their weapons from her hands. Alois was safe, The Hood had a fighting chance. However, in her panic over losing her brother, she had lost tracked of the bandit she'd been dueling until he so mercilessly plunged his sword through her torso, straight through her back until a silver tip tinged with crimson protruded from her stomach. The storm would cease just as quickly as it began as scarlet hues widened in shock. Pain erupted through her like the lava of an avenging volcano. It burned through every cell, every thought, every sense. It consumed her entirely. Blackness danced around the edge of her vision as she fell to her knees, blood flowing freely from the gaping wound on her torso. As the girl slumped forward into the grass listlessly, rust colored hues would fall on her brother one last time. That was the last thing she saw before darkness took her.
Thyra awoke in a panic several days later. She was locked in a cold, damp cell, with nothing but a thin, ratty blanket to keep her warm. Someone had taken the time to clean and bandage her wounds, though their work hadn't dulled the pain. She had the distinct feeling that whoever had saved her hadn't done it out of kindness but rather a twisted act of selfishness. Why else would they keep her behind bars in such despicable conditions. It must have been hours before anyone realized she was awake. It was at that point that a thin, gaunt man came to spoke with her. He explained that he was the one that had hired the bandits to ambush the three of them in the woods. His target had been the Hood, but seeing as she escaped thanks to Thyra, it was up to her to repay his debt. For days he and his men tortured her in an attempt to get information about The Hood. It was in that moment that she became beyond thankful that she didn't have any information. Thyra was stubborn and she liked to think she would have spat in their face, despite the pain they inflicted. However, they pushed her past her limits... past any sane person's limits. To this day that cruel spark in his black eyes haunts her soul. The way his lips twitched into a twisted smirk as a blade was drawn across skin or a hammer smashed down upon appendages. The sick amusement that seemed to radiate off him as he watched her squirm. The way he laughed as he plunged his fingers into the wound on her torso that had yet to heel, flicking blood over her as she writhed in pain. "Just tell me where she is, you little brat and maybe, just maybe... I'll let you live." How could she tell him if she didn't know? They didn't have a secret base or compound. It was this exact reason they had moved around constantly. They never stayed in the same place twice, which made it nearly impossible to track them."I don't know." She spat the words at him, spraying him with blood. The blow that followed caused her vision to blur, but it was well worth it. Her only solace was the fact that The Hood had escaped, and with her Alois. They were safe. He was safe.
That cell became her home for the next several years. He nursed her back to a relative state of health, only to drain the life from her time and time again. She was forced to work until her fingers bled and her muscles ached. Pushed past the point of exhaustion until she collapsed. Her living conditions were beyond miserable, leaving her sick more often than not. She was submitted to physical and psychological abuse on a daily basis. It was a sort of routine. He was trying to break her. A girl that was fueled only by memories of her brother. All of this torment was worth it, if it meant he got to live on. It was knowing he was out there somewhere that kept her breathing, even while she was clinging to the very threads of life. Try as he might, the girl was stubborn and defiant to the bitter end. As such, he kept her half-starved. He didn't want her finding the strength to try and escape or enact the semblance that had cost him his victory to begin with. After all, she had a debt to pay. A debt that seemed to be growing larger everyday despite how hard she worked. It was years later that Kain decided she was useless to him. Her strength was failing and she was falling behind, incapable of performing even the most simple of tasks. Determined to get his money out of her one way or another, he resorted to the cruelest of options, the only option he felt he had left. He drug her battered and nearly lifeless body to an underground auction on the black market. She was a teenager now, and despite everything she had grown into a beautiful girl. He figured some creep would be foolish enough to spend a good chunk of money on her. Thyra was barely conscious as she heard the numbers being rattled off. There seemed to be two distinct voices, battling back and forth until the latter put it all down on the table with an outrageous number. She remembered being too tired to be scared or even concerned. How could it be worse? She was probably going to die soon, so what did it matter? She remembered being surprised at how gently he lifted her into his arms. She remembered being confused by the kind look in his eyes and the soft curve of his mouth. "You're going to be okay now." His voice was soothing, and sincere. Fighting off these strange new feelings of comfort, the girl would shake her head weakly. In her mind, this was all just a trick to get her to lower her guard.
The next thing she clearly remembers is waking up warm and comfortable for the first time in years. At first she had to wonder if it was a dream. As she ripped the thick quilt off of her and peered around the small room, she'd quickly realize it was anything but. Her injuries had been cleaned and properly treated. There was a clean pair of clothes laid out for her as well as a tray of food. Instinctively distrusting, she was waiting for some sort of trick or trap. Even so, starved as she was, she couldn't help herself. She cleared the tray in seconds and suffered from quite the belly ache afterwards. At first she cursed herself for falling for a trick as obvious as poison. However, when she didn't die, she realized that the real problem was she had just devoured more food in just a few brief moments than she likely had in weeks. It wasn't long after that the man from the auction came to the room. She introduced herself as Kesei. He was so different than what she was used to. He was gentle and kind. Patient, despite how she flinched every time he moved towards her and accused him of trickery at every turn. For the time being, she had no choice but to allow him to help her, but it didn't mean that she wouldn't spend every moment waiting for his betrayal. He seemed to sense her unease, and did everything in his power to assure her. "I will not force you to stay. You are free to come and go as you please. I will not hold you here, but you are always free to return." It was those words that turned the tides. It didn't stop her from running away, but that was simply to test him. She wanted to see if he meant it. Just as he said, he never prevented her from leaving, so she watched from the shadows. Everyday he kept her bed warm and welcoming and laid food out on a tray just as he had that first day, prepared for her return but not forcing it. Still, Thyra expected he knew she would come back all along. He didn't seem surprised when she did. "Thank you." It was with those simple words that she began to trust him and from the trust grew a bond.
Thyra spent the next few years with him in that peaceful cottage in the woods, recovering from the years of hell she'd been through. Sometimes Kesei would leave, but he always returned. Sometimes he came back with a certain pink-haired girl she learned was named Eve. At first this girl didn't seem to like her very much, even going as far as biting her once. Thyra still laughs remembering the face Eve made when she bit her back. From there their own bond grew. Of course that didn't stop the biting or wrestling, but it was a show of affection. Being raised by sharks and dragons would do that to a person. It was through Eve that she learned about a certain shark faunus teaching at Beacon. The stories were more than enough to tell her it was Rachel. With Kesei's help, she got accepted into Beacon. After all, Alois was still out there and if anyone could help her find her brother, it was Rachel. She hadn't been there the day of the ambush, but she must have heard from the Hood since then. Seeing as it was her only lead, it was as good a place to start as any. Besides, she was excited to see Rachel again, not to mention Eve who had seemed to claim Thyra as her own little sister.

█PRIMARY WEAPON █ ▬ Modugr and Megin (courage and strength) █ ▬ Dual battle axes that she can use in close range combat, or can be thrown at targets that are farther away. Through a special mechanism implanted in her gloves, she is able to call the axes back to her once they are thrown. Each are perfectly balanced for both combat and throwing. █Melee Form ▬ Dual battle axes: each of them are well balanced and extremely sharp. Each are 24 inches in total length. █Ranged Form ▬ Throwing axes: Each axe is light enough to throw at her opponents, while hefty enough to cause damage. She can throw them with precision up to 25 feet, after that the aim falters. She can't throw them more then 35 feet. Through a strong magnetic system implanted in her gloves, after throwing the axes she is able to call them back to her by pushing a button hidden on the inside of her wrist. She will do this either by clapping her wrists against each other, or against her thigh if one hand is still occupied. █Other Form(s) ▬ None █Ammo Type ▬ Dust cartridges can be inserted along the edge of the blades to create more adverse effects whilst striking or throwing her axes. The effects will last for three hits before fading and returning to normal. █ ▬ While she can throw them, it takes a lot of practice and training to ensure accuracy. Even when aimed accurately, they are larger and slower than a bullet, and thus easier to dodge. If they get stuck in a target, she is unable to call them back to her and thus is left without a weapon. The magnetic mechanism also only works within 30 feet of her person. If by any means they break that distance, she will not be able to call them back, which may also leave her without a weapon. That being said, if she cannot reach the button, she again will be unable to call the axes back and will thus, be left weaponless. Anyone with a strength listed in other talents or higher can fight the magnetic system and keep her axe away from her, once again, leaving her weaponless.

█*NAME ▬ Stymur █*AURA COLOR ▬ Bright Rust Orange █*DESCRIPTION █ ▬ Stymur gives Thyra the ability to create and manipulate storms. While within her range, opponents will find it hard to keep their balance, they will also experience a ringing in their ears and possible head aches from the thunder shockwaves. Vision may be obscured by the rain and aim may be thrown off by the wind. The wind might also make it hard for someone to move through the storm. The storm stretches out in a circle around her, her body acting as the center point of the storm/radius for the distance at each corresponding level. The storm itself is absolute mayhem, featuring strong winds, heavy rain, lightning, and thunder. Thyra is more accustomed to the storms, being more adaptive to the cold rain and winds. However, she is not completely uneffected. Her vision will be just as obscured as anyone else's and the wind will disrupt her aim just as much as anyone else's. It has taken much practice to be able to calculate the precise adjustments. As she progresses and grows stronger, Thyra learns to be able to control individual aspects of the storm while also expanding her range and the length of time that she can control the storm. █*LEVEL 0 ▬ The storm Thyra summons is contained with in a 15 foot radius that spreads in a circle around her. While the entirety of the storm is summoned. In this level, after summoning the storm, she can only specifically manipulate the shock-waves caused by lightning during a storm, known as thunder. She can deal devastating and possibly concussive results. She can release thunder energy in waves that feel like powerful, but isolated earthquakes. Anyone caught within these storms will be victim to deafening rumbling that may cause temporary hearing damage or loss. It's possible for the rattling of bones, tissues, or muscles, leaving an individual sore after the experience. While all other aspects of the storm effect her as well, the thunder does not as the shockwaves are released from her own body. She can hold her semblance for up to 3 posts. █*LEVEL 1▬ The storm grows to a 20 foot radius, in a circle around her. At this level, on top of being able to control the shock waves from the thunder, she can also control the winds. Allowing her to slow them, speed them up, or direct them against specific targets. For example, she could slow the wind around her teammates to lessen the impact on them. Or, she could force it towards an enemy to sway their balance and make it harder for them to reach her. She could also use this to away the aim of projectiles. The max speed for her winds are 65 mph. They are strong enough to sway the trees, break small branches, cause extreme difficulty in walking into it, as well as sway bullets and other projectiles. It wouldn't be enough to cause any sort of structural damage. Those with strength as a primary talent may fight the winds, though resisting will still be difficult and take extra effort. Anyone with strength as a weakness may have a harder time facing the winds. She can hold her semblance for up to 4 posts. █*LEVEL 2▬ At this level the storm grows even larger, a 25 foot radius, spreading in a circle around her. While still being able to control the thunder and wind, she can now control the precipitation. She can lesson or increase it as well as isolate it to specific areas of the storm. Thyra can also change rain to hail or sleet and even snow. She can use this possibly directly attack someone with a heat or fire based semblance as well as to target someone with a cloud-based weakness. She can also use this to make visibility either better or worse for everyone in the range of the storm. She can hold her semblance for up to 5 posts. █*LEVEL 3 ▬ The storm now reaches a 30 foot radius, in a circle around her. At this level, as well as all other aspects of the storm, she can now control the lightning, directing it at specific targets with in the circle. This is her most direct attack and causes the most damage. While it will not kill a person, it is incredibly painful and will possibly leave them stunned. There will be a spark in the clouds above said target before the lightning strikes. She can hold her semblance for up to 6 posts. █*DRAWBACKS ▬ Thyra's semblance is very tiring, and as thus requires a 1:2 cool down period. Meaning, if she uses her semblance for 2 posts she must rest for 4, if she uses it for 5, she must rest for 10, and so on and so forth. Even in her later levels, she can only manipulate one aspect of the storm at a time. Meaning, she cannot control the wind while also changing the precipitation, she cannot release a thunder shockwave and a lightning bolt at the same time, or any other combination. While her semblance can be incredibly troublesome for her opponents, it is just as challenging for her team or anyone on her side caught within the storms. If she exhausts herself and depletes her aura, meaning she keeps her active for the max amount of posts, she will pass out and require several hours of sleep before she is up on her feet again. If she stops the storm before that point, she'll be left tired but she won't pass out. If something triggers her enough emotionally and her rage/and emotions are strong enough, she can actually push past her own limits and capabilities. In her first two levels she is able to gain an extra two posts. In her last two levels she gains an extra three. However, at the end of those extra posts she will no longer have the energy to control the storm and no aura left to protect her. She will lose control of the shock waves and lightning and the storm will backlash on her. The thunder will reverberate through her body, bursting her internal organs and causing instant death while the lightning strikes her nervous system simutaneously. However, if she only uses one of these extra posts death can be avoided. She will still obtain serious injuries and be thrust into an indefinite coma. It's already pretty obvious when she is using her semblance, but her eyes glow bright orange while she was using it. Her aura also pulsates scarlet over her body.

█Ranged Form ▬ Throwing axes: Each axe is small and light enough to throw at her opponents.

█NATURAL ABILITIES █Primary Talent ▬ Thyra excels naturally in close ranged combat. She is able to hold her own even against larger opponents. This natural ability allows her to maneuver smoothly around her target to break through their defenses while defending her own person. █Faunus Trait/Bonus Talent ▬ Thyra may be small, but she is naturally very strong. Her brute strength surprises most and allows her to deal hefty blows. █Other Talents ▬ The girl is extremely quick, darting in and out of attacks with astonishing speed. Her agility allows her to smoothly transition from defense to offense without the slightest disruption in combat flow. █LEARNT ABILITIES █Strongest Skill ▬ The girl has trained long and hard to hone her skills and of them, her precise aim is the strongest. Rarely does she miss a target, be it far or moving. She can calculate needed adjustments due to wind or other obstacles. █Weakest Skill ▬ Thyra is impatient and impulsive, she tends to rush into situations before thinking and always without a plan. She overheats easily and when she overheats she struggles to do anything but sleep. Thyra is a shear force of strength and speed, however, she lacks endurance. If she doesn't end a fight quickly with her brute power, chances are she will fail due to exhaustion. She gives it all from the very start, until she has nothing left to give. She's not suited to traveling long distances. █Other Skills ▬ Thyra is extremely resilient. You could knock her down again and again but she will continue to get up until she is physically unable. Being extremely resourceful, she is usually able to fight her way out if even the most dire of situations. Due to her upbringing, she has an extremely high pain tolerance, paired with her stubbornness. You could torture her endlessly and not get what you want out of her.
█LIKES █ ▬ Napping, wrestling, mountain climbing and repelling, anything thrilling... if she has the energy █ ▬ Funny, anyone who will spare with her, those with honor █ ▬ Particularly fond of meat, but also loves fruit █ ▬ Fire, anything shiny █ ▬ Snakes and lizards █DISLIKES █ ▬ Anyone who wakes her up or teaser her about her size, those lacking basic common sense █ ▬ Anything green █ ▬ Chains, cages █ ▬ Mice and rats █ ▬ She has an irrational fear of extreme heat and deserts. More rationally, she is afraid of letting down her twin brother or losing him entirely. █PERSONALITY TRAITS █Nature ▬ Sane, though a bit temperamental and prone to mood swings. She also tends to be a bit aggressive and prefers to show affection with love-bites and tackles. If she can't convince someone to carry her in order to get out of walking, chances are she'll hitch a ride anyway. █Vernacular ▬ Thyra has a pretty nasty potty mouth and tends to speak rather crudely when she's angry. She's also always loud and doesn't seem to understand what inside voices mean. █Positive Traits ▬ Brave, passionate, honorable, loyal, determined █Negative Traits ▬ Impatient, stubborn, hot-headed, temperamental, always tired (naps way too often)
