These are the general profile rules are here , which you should read before going over these guidelines. Rules listed there will not necessarily be listed here.
Below are things that may be relevant for when writing your background depending on what you want to do, and so you can have it in the context of this world:

Guidlines:
- 1. Talents and skills are ranked from best to "worst" in this order: Primary talent=Faunus trait/Bonus talent> Other talent> Strongest skill> Other skill. Bear in mind, having an other skill still makes you better than the average; but if you say had other skill stealth and someone had other talent awareness, they'd be much more likely to notice you as you hide. Against someone who has no talent/skill in awareness, they'd be much less likely to notice you.
2. It has been ruled that strength as a primary talent/human bonus talent/ faunus trait (the strongest it can be) would be having the ability for a max deadlift of 1000 lbs. In other talents, deadlift is 800 lbs., strongest skill 600 lbs., and other skills 400 lbs. If strength is from a semblance, the max is 2 tons.
3. You cannot have a skill, talent, or semblance that gives extra Aura. However, if your weapon has a storage of Aura, that may be passed depending on the weapon or item.
4. Your "weakest skill" is just a weakness that others can use to their advantage. Something that can be exploited in combat, so think of it more as a flaw than a skill. It cannot be a personality trait. You can have more than one if you choose though, even one that aren't combat weaknesses, but you need at least one combat weakness. It is generally something that will always be a present weakness for the character.
5. For likes and dislikes, you do not need to fill out every category. Just try to have at least 1 like and dislike, along with a fear (in the dislike section).
6. If you mention something your character is exceptional at in their bio, but does not have a skill or talent for, they may not be exceptional on it in RP and you may be asked to change this (remove from bio or add to talent/skills).
7. In general, a skill or talent is something you are above average in (at least). Not having the skill means you are average to novice levels. Only in if it is in weakest skills does it mean you are very bad at it (unless you want to be bad at additional things in RP as well).
8. For the background, keep in mind, Grimm are very strong here. You will likely be unable to go toe to toe with a Grimm off-the-bat.
9. While we are open to unique backgrounds, bear in mind that there are some things that will not be allowed. As long as you keep to the world history here, you should mostly be fine though.
10. Your primary weapon has to make sense in how it transforms (if it does) and how it functions. You do not need one on profile creation, but you will only have one and it will need to be judged once you do. Judges will do their best to balance the weapon if it is too complex or powerful but, doing so preemptively when making them can help speed up the process.
11. Any timers you have (whether faunus ability, semblance, etc.) must be in terms of post count. This is so there are no arguments about how long a post actually is.
12. Open-ended semblances are not approvable. What it is capable of must be ironed out and clear, and it has to have a limit to its use appropriate for its power.
13. Semblances can’t be used endlessly. They need at least a period of recharge appropriate for how strong it is.
14. You do not need to fill out a semblance. However, if you plan to earn it in roleplay, you must have the level you are achieving it at. You must also give the crew a week to judge the new semblance. Further, any changes to semblance do not take affect in RP immediately unless the mod/those in thread allow it. Typically, it only takes affect in any new threads you join after approval (if combat involved).
15. Crew quotes must remain in profile once it is time to be judged, and thereafter. Any changes made after the profile has been approved will require it to be looked at again, and potentially re-judged. If you intend to make changes, crew should be alerted as to what and should be informed that changes were made.
16. If you intend to be part of one of the noble families, or from a tribe, it is recommended to contact the creators of said group (if you are unaware who it is, ask crew and they can redirect you). While there is a good overview of them all in the guild itself, specific details should be ironed out with the creators. If you wish to make your own, please contact One of the Crew Members.
17. If you start off with a weaponized cybernetic, it would take up your primary weapon slot.
18. If you really want a face-claim for a character, post up the profile asap with the picture on it. You can work on the profile.
over time to fill it, but unless the picture is on the profile it is up for grabs.
19. For a villain, you need to apply for the type you are in the appropriate area. To be a teacher, you would need to ask crew if there is an available position.
20. For your character, it is recommended they have some connection to the school. The roleplay focuses heavily on the school, so being tied in helps for interaction.
21. You can only have 8 dust bullets/crystal shards (small dust) and 3 raw dust powder/crystals (large dust) per mission/thread/day
22. You can only have a weaponized cybernetic OR a primary weapon (until advanced profile). However, you can have a non-weaponized cybernetic and a primary weapon.
23. Contact crew or your profile judge if you need help or if you have questions. We are here to help. Responses may take a little while, but you will get an answer.
24. Wording is important. It can be the difference between having something passed or needing to be re-judged.
25. Character roles: A student is a character attending Beacon Academy. A student villain is a student attending Beacon who either works for an organization like the Tribe, or simply has nefarious intentions. A teacher teaches a class at Beacon. All other Beacon staff will fall under the loner category. Villains are characters who work for an organization or are independently nefarious but do not attend Beacon as a student. Huntsman and Huntresses are characters who graduated from a combat school and gained their huntsman license. They have access to the huntsman guild. However, if they do not maintain their license they will be classified as a loner. Please see the huntsman guild for more information. All other characters fall under the loner category.
Faunus specific:
1. While the species is human or faunus, you should specify what type of faunus your character is here (the more specific the better, but we accept general animal species).
2. Faunus have night vision (lowlight); they need a light source, even if faint like moonlight, to be able to see in the dark where normal people can't. If there is no light source (pitch black), they can't really see.
3. Faunus have 2x better senses than humans; anything better, or more specialized, would require a talent/skill/faunus ability (depending on what is desired).
4. Only your faunus traits can be related/due to the animal species your character is. This means, at the basic profile, you can only have one trait that is due to the animal half of the character (wings, prehensile tail, being able to jump super high, etc). You can have non functional animal features as well but only for cosmetic purposes.
