➳ What's their backstory?
- Raised as a military brat, Michael Turner was forced to accept at an early age that life was meant to be lived on a constant fast forward. He never got to make friends and when he did those friendships never lasted long. He was a good student because of this. His father was a good man and took care of his family. He lived what you would call an relatively normal life with a pretty good upbringing. What he lacked in social skills he made up for in his knowledge of assembling guns and overall how to be a good soldier. His life was pretty much cut out for him. He would enter the military just as his father before him at the age of 18 and became a Marine. He was so good at his job that he eventually started taking on more covert ops only a few were privy to. He went from a Marine to a spy over the course of years. His training and knowledge made him one of the best assets to his employers and he was paid handsomely for his services.
During one of his ops, his cover was blown and as it turns out, it had been due to shady dealings. It was later revealed that his own military had turned on him. Sold him off like a slave to be made a guinea pig. Michael refused to become like one of those damned supers over and over. The procedure was to be made a guinea pig and given powers to combat the rise of heroes with more than just guns and level the playing field. He had done everything right his whole life and here was how he was being repaid. So, they pumped him full of drugs and began the procedure when word a super caught onto their plans/lab. Said Super would go on to destroy the lab without checking for innocents. The entire lab went up in flames and yet somehow he walked out those same flames the only man...thing...left standing. He was changed. Michael Turner was dead and subject EQ-L1Z3 was born. (name according to the vial used to inject in him)
Since he's kept a low profile, took out as many contacts he used to know that had an hand in his 'accident'. And rose through the dark side of the ranks creating a name for himself that was to be feared. Currently his services are to the Mayor of Chicago as he goes under the codename; the Equalizer.
Extra blurb: His skills are that of a professional. He can disappear, snag information, and force negotiations with people who would rather not deal. He can also impersonate any character, based on what is being looked for to complete his job. With the drop of a dime he can change tactics on the spot.
