(This RP immediately follows The Cookie Crumbles) Chip, still more than a bit lost and confused, found himself riding in the arms of one of the most powerful humans in existence...not that he really knew that, but he could certainly tell she was frightfully strong. All the same, she was being very nice and caring to him, and taking him to get some food...So, of course, as they traveled, his tiny head swiveled constantly. “Oh, what’s that?” He asked about a random door, then “Where’s that go?” To a hall, and “Oh, what’s with that person’s hair? about some other human in the area. He just kept on asking questions, on and on, and only occasionally paused...although after about 30 of them, he did stop asking, and looked up at Hessonite...with a little expression that seemed to say, “I expect that you remember every single question I just asked, and now I want the answers.” For the moment, though, he was quiet. Possibly because the little cat was out of breath from the torrent of questions.

To say that Hessonite was amused would have been an understatement. It wasn’t often that she took such a solid and immediate liking to someone so freshly corrupted, but she was exceedingly glad that Axinite didn’t get his hands on this cat.
Though, if he had, perhaps the creature’s questions would have been answered with a bit more care.
“That’s just a door, Chip. And that hallway leads to the offices of some of our ranks. Captains and Generals are allowed their own offices here. I’m sure you’ll find yourself exploring them at some point in time.”
At the question about the hair, the General Queen’s eyebrows went up and she clucked her tongue in disapproval. “Now, Chip. I’m surprised that you’re asking about that. Why, that is one of our corrupted senshi. You should know very well that they are your responsibility. Finding them. Nurturing them. It’s one of your main purposes here, silly kitten.”
It was easy to pretend, as she held the cat, that he was hers, and that this was natural. They were a lot alike though. She had questions when she was first brought into the Negaverse too.
“What are you hoping that I’ll feed you, little one? I want to know what you are hungry for today.”

Chip nodded at the answers he was given, mentally filing away all of them. He definitely would have to come back and look some time... And those senshis. They did have a sort of familiar feel to them. Like there were things he could do with them, but exactly what was still a bit hazy...something that he was pretty sure he’d remember. It was like it was on the tip of his mental tongue whenever looking their direction. It would come to him. “Feed me?” He asked thoughtfully in reply to her own inquiry. “Uh...” Truthfully, he couldn’t think of any foods in particular. He knew the idea of food, but...what was his favorite...? “Uhm...” He rocked his head to the side, eyes looking off to the side. “Something...” There was a thing, in his mind, but he couldn’t place what it was. It was... “Sweet!” He concluded. That wasn’t very specific, but surely if she gave him sweet things, he’d remember what he was trying to think of. Or he’d just find something new to like. Either way worked. “I wanna have sweet stuff that I can go nom nom om om,” he explained, exaggerating the chewing motions as he spoke them.

“How do cookies sound then? I’m not sure you can go…what was it again? Nom…nom?” The General Queen pursed her lips, struggling to hold back laughter. This was different. This was far different than she was used to. It wasn’t often that she got a chance anymore to just enjoy speaking with someone. Though, a freshly corrupted individual was someone who she could truly bond with. Though, the same would hold true to anyone who had been corrupted into their great organization.
It was a short walk to get to the other General King’s office, and with a gleeful grin, Hessonite saw that the door was closed.
Well. At least she had a key of her own. She pulled it out of her subspace pocket and slid it easily into the keyhole, turning and opening the door. Walking into the office, Hessonite looked around, amusement clear on her face. “Ah. There we go. He doesn’t hide them, does he?”
Quickly she took several cookies and handed one to the cat. “I’m sure you can come here when you please. This room belongs to General King Axinite. He has cookies nearly all the time for people. It’s a good thing to remember if you’re really hungry and in a pinch.”
And perhaps Axinite would appreciate the company of this cat as much as she clearly did. “He will always have the time to answer any questions you have as well, Chip. Eat up.”

"Sure, cookies sound good," he declared, and purred for a moment considering it. His attention turned to watching their progress, though, and taking in the fairly unassuming door. Chip watched the door open, mind turning about how the locks worked...he wanted to pick it apart all of a sudden, but was quickly distracted by the appearance of cookies. His mouth opened happily to accept the cookie--easier than pawing it away from her, after all--and chomped down on it with an audible "nom!" "Fanks," he declared after some cookie chomping. "Ay don' you 'ave ookies too?" he asked, not bothering to stop eating first. Clearly, every proper office needed cookies...

Hessonite was amused by this Mauvian, and still quite pleased that things had turned out well with him. Clearly someone who had so many questions, who looked at things with such a curious eye would be more than an asset. They needed more Mauvians who were motivated by more than long naps in a warm spot of sunlight.
One eyebrow rose delicately as she took in his question, difficult to understand due to his mouth full of food. “Manners, Chip.” She said softly. “We’ll have to teach you some manners. It isn’t polite to talk with your mouth full, but to answer your question, no. I don’t have any cookies in my office.”
A smirk began to form on her lips as she thought of Axinite’s reaction if she took that away from him too. It was always fun to taunt him. Perhaps she would start carrying some cookies in her office.
Or something healthier. Her agents had to be on top of their game did they not? Or she could have a supply of edible cookie dough. Why couldn’t Hessonite have the better option of cookie like substance for her agents? Or even just for herself.
“You look as though you’re ready to go and explore on your own, Chip. I know this place is large and must seem mysterious for someone as small as you. If you need anything I know that most of the agents here will be more than willing to help you. And you know how to get to mine or Axinite’s offices, so if you are truly in trouble or have anything you’d like to tell us, we’re here. Most of the time.”
She took a small bite of one of the cookies and seemed to decide something, taking the entire container with her before locking the office door again. “But we will always return.” Axinite didn’t really need his cookie jar anyway.

Nodding quickly, and still crunching a cookie, Chip took in the instruction to not talk with your mouth full, and then, mere moments later, as she suggested he should explore on his own, he declared, scattering a few crumbs as a parting gift for General Axinite, “Dat souns like a great idea!” He practically bounced around as he considered the possibilities. “So many directions to choose, oh what to try first...Maybe that way?” He looked one way. “No, started there...Maybe over there...” The little cat considered his options most seriously. It was obviously an important decision to him. “I’ll find you if I need help, General,” he said, as they departed the office. He sniffed once. “I think I can do that...if not, I’ll just ask somebody until they figure it out!” He giggled in anticipation of that. “Thanks~!” And, with possibly far too little ceremony for dealing with one of the supreme leaders of the Negaverse, the little cat scampered off to poke his head into the first thing he could find to put his head into... The Space Cauldron I think we can call that at fin! Thanks for playing. biggrin
