He had been chosen to sit out the previous round because of the uneven numbers of participants, but Gadolinite was back and was giving his opponent - a Captain Amazonite - a long once over, gaze flickering across her face - or at least what he could see of her face, since half of it was covered.
"Vell," he said lightly, and drew his arms back, fingers curling. "Here ve go."Noir Songbird Toxic Touch - Gadolinite draws back another "arrow" of light and fires. When it makes contact, the opponent will feel a sense of burning, followed by a sense of numbness in their extremities. Again, no physical change, and it lasts about thirty seconds. Two uses.

Amazonite wasn't sure what she expected--surely she'd had an experience or two with Senshi magic when she was still Mimisbrunnr, but most of that memory was long gone. The sight of a magic arrow made something in her chest ache, and it made her hesitate, and so she took a shot to the shoulder, and stumbled backwards in surprise.
"Oh!" She chirped, brightly, "that's a neat trick!" Her fingers and toes were tingling, oddly, and the sensation amde her drop her knives, and her shoulder felt like it had been burnt, And the whole thing was strange and a little disorienting. Still, she move din, and brought her foot up, aiming for a kick in the stomach. It required a little less manual dexterity than doing anything with her hands, which she wasn't sure she could accomplish right then.

He'd hit her relatively hard, which was pleasing, because he knew how well his magic worked when it was actually something that hit. But it didn't mean he could let his guard down, Gadolinite twisting to try and avoid Amazonite's foot, but not managing it entirely.
It collided with his stomach and sent him reeling backwards, Gadolinite hissing in pain, slightly winded as a hand rose to press against his stomach in an effort to get air back into his lungs.
"You hit hard," he gasped out, coughing.

Amazonite grinned. Yes, this was going well, just as it had been so far. "Thank you!" She chirped in response to the compliment. "So do you, Senshi magic is so neat, you never know what you're going to get. Whereas, you know, I stab you and that's it." She laughed, and skipped a little bit back, and then moved for a full on roundhouse this time. No room or reason to hesitate or hold back.
