A relatively normal supermarket. They don't have everything, but it's all reasonably priced. They get pretty busy in the afternoon and on weekends.

Sena arrived to the supermarket. She had finished her classes and had to decide between this and club actives. While she was eager to meet others who loved tea, she still had to get something for that baron fridge of hers. She managed to scramble some stuff together for a decent enough breakfast for her and Terra, but that wasn't going to happen again in the morning. While she was sure the cafeteria kept things in decent order and had healthy options, she wanted to be able to control the taste herself. If it meant getting up a little earlier to cook and eat, she would happily do so. She had a list of things that she could use to make certain foods for breakfast and dinner. She put this list together after the morning though. Looking it over, she was probably going to spend extra time looking for these things specifically. She wasn't to picky when it came to certain brands, but there were some things she wasn't going to bend on.

It was about the time they were supposed to meet now though. She told Terra to meet her here at around now, so she expected to see her fairly soon. She went over the list again a few times to try and remind herself exactly what she needed, she could get a clone or two to retrieve items and maybe scavenge the store quicker. She wondered what Terra might want as well though, she had no idea what her diet consisted of. She had no problem cooking for her too if she was already cooking for herself. It felt rude to make someone fend for themselves if someone was already going to take care of it. When Terra got here she would go over her list and see if Terra wanted specific things or if she had some likes and dislikes that Sena had put up for foods. A lot of things had replacements after all. Just to wait for Terra, hope she wasn't going to be late, but she would of text Sena if she wouldn't make it....she hoped.

I'll go back one day. And I'll make a difference.

I am here: Supermarket
I am with: Sena
I feel: List? What's that?

Grocery shopping huh. Terra didn’t think it was entirely necessary, but she was willing to give it a shot. Especially if Sena was willing to cook for her. She’d feel bad accepting a meal and not at least helping pay for ingredients. She had a decent amount saved from working over the summer, and intended to get a part time job once she got used to her school schedule. So money wouldn’t be a problem.

She’d only had one class, though arms-making had been towards the end of the school day. By the time she got out of it, it was nearly time to head to the supermarket to meet up with Sena. She hopped on her bike and rode it into town. She was pretty sure she was a few minutes late by the time she actually got there. Sena seemed like the punctual type, so Terra was quick to hurry inside.

Luckily Terra found her pretty quickly. Terra approached her roommate, giving a small wave and saying, ”Oh, hey Sena. Ready to do some shopping?” To be completely honest, Terra really wasn't sure what they were supposed to buy. Back in Summermount, she and Wallace had mostly eaten at inns and restaurants in the areas they were working in. The few times they’d had to hunt something and cook it over a campfire weren’t anything Terra would really count as culinary experience.

So, it was safe to say Terra was a little out of her element at the moment. If she were on her own, like when she’d worked in Whiteridge, surviving on cereal and sandwiches would have been doable. But if she was going to do that, it’d just have been easier to eat the meals provided by the school, right? She figured since Sena knew how to cook, Terra ought to leave things up to her? That didn’t seem quite right either. Well, she’d do her best here, whatever that turned out to be.

She supposed the most important thing to consider when shopping would be to get as much food as they could for as little money as possible? Sena had said something about a balanced diet, but that’s where the whole cooking thing came in, right? ”What uh, kind of things should we be buying, by the way? I saw a sign that said avocados were on sale.” Did Sena like avocados? ”Actually there are a lot of deals going on right now. We should stock up on some of this stuff while they’re all still going on.” Yeah that sounded pretty smart.

Sena had been looking at her list and mentally checking things for the foods she thought to make when she looked up and saw Terra arrive. She offered a warm smile and set the list down and nodded, "Yes, I made a list so I know what I definitely need. Let's see... we have.."Sena looked at her phone and realized Terra was slightly late, but she was so engrossed with her list, she hadn't noticed. Not like she'd mind really, with how Terra approached quickly, she probably knew, no need to bring it up. "Looks like we have plenty of time." She said grabbed a cart and looked at Terra. "So I have the things I typically like, but you live there too, so do you have a specific diet you like to have? Or perhaps favorite types of foods? I don't know if others watch their intake like myself, but I don't have a problem making sure you have the foods you like as well." Sena handed Terra the list to look over. Several meat varieties, seasoning, eggs, milk, butter, baking materials, flavor enhancers, the list was a bit long to say the least. Sena waited to see if Terra had any specifications she liked before adding them if she did.

As Sena motioned for Terra to follow her she hummed, "Basics are important. Avocados? We can pick some of those up as well." Sena added it to the list and moved through the isles as Terra brought of deals and sales. "Sales are important, we just want to make sure if we stock up on something it will last us longer than a week or two. If we get to much, we might not get to it and it will go to waste. Otherwise, yes, sales are important to pay attention to. We can get some of the dry stuff on sale in more bulk. I believe we have the space for it." Sena would point out stuff on her list and have Terra grab it if she was closer. Every few moments her clones would come down an isle and put things in the basket. "So do you have any experience with cooking your foods? I don't mind cooking for us both, but just in case I can't for some reason, you can do it." Though, maybe Terra preferred to not cook and go with what the school provided.

As they browseed the isles together, Sena looked at Terra, "Hey so...uhm your violin, from yesterday....you play it right? How long have you been into that?"She asked, trying to make conversation and getting to know her roommate a bit more.

I'll go back one day. And I'll make a difference.

I am here: in the aisles
I am with: Sena, probably some other shoppers about
I feel: Suppose I can't eat snacks of the shelves can I

Oh huh, so she did have a list. Terra supposed that made sense. There were some things you just had to get even if you paying full price. Speaking of the list, Sena wanted Terra to look it over, and add anything she wanted. She glanced at the list Sena handed her. It was . . . longer than she was expecting. This was what Sena “definitely needed"? Well, on the other hand, if she was cooking with all this, it’d probably taste good, right? ”I think it’s safe to say we’ve got all our bases covered with this.” Terra handed the list back.

Soon enough they were shopping. They walked down the aisles, grabbing things off the shelves to add to their carts, with one of Sena’s clones occasionally coming with something from somewhere else. That really was a pretty nifty power. Sena addressed her questions about sales and avocados as they walked, mentioning stocking up was only useful for things that would last. Yeah, that made sense.

Ah, yeah there was the question. Terra was a little embarrassed about it at this point since Sena seemed to value cooking as a skill. Ah well, might as well let her know, ”Ah, not really, to be honest. I could probably handle something simple though. I guess there’s the school food, but if you’re sick or something I wouldn’t want to leave you at their mercy.” There were lots recipes online, right? Terra was decent at following directions, most of the time.

Conversation had to drift from food at some point, right? Before long Sena was asking about her violin. Wallace had taught her, and the one she had now had been his when he was alive. She didn’t really want to get into that, but it wasn’t like Sena had asked for every last detail. ”I’ve been playing since I was twelve. Practicing gave me something to do on the road.” Terra wasn’t the biggest fan of sitting still, but something about making music had always appealed to her. ”Do you play any instruments? You seem like the type who’d be good at it.” Terra had practiced out of boredom, though Sena kind of seemed like the type diligent enough to practice even if she wasn’t really in the mood.
