Do you have anything that you would like to see added to here? This could be anything that you think we might have missed be it a restaurant, a public venue, anything you think the city should have that might have been left out... Within reason.

Let us know and we'll see about adding it! Anything to help enhance the city's role play environment!

Hey! What about...?

Place: The Pool of Sacred Tears
Description: Not exactly a huge building, it's modeled more after Japanese architecture then Chinese and looks more like a store front then a bath house. It's owned and run by Alejandro Kai and his daughter, Dongmei, and could be open to more staff if needed.

That said, it's a two story building that looks worn with age, though it's actually in rather good condition and goes through full renovations and updates roughly every five-ish years. It's it's biggest point is an indoor public bath house separated by sex (trans/non-binary friendly). Off to the side of the building is a budding peach tree not bigger then a sprig.

The inside of the first floor has a counter and seating area, as well as an area for children to hang out. On either side of the counter are doors leading to the locker rooms for people to change and keep their clothing and items, as well as wooden benches. Complementary towels and slippers are available while bathing.

From there you reach the indoor baths which look more like huge hot tubs settled into the floors. As well as a huge bathing station where you wash before you soak. One section of the bath works more like a hot tub with jets and such while the larger portion is merely just hot water in which to soak. It's identical on each side except for the colors, men have dark slate and gold for their color scheme while the women have ivory and sapphire.

Off to the side of the front, where the main seating area lies is a sliding door that leads to the small botanical garden filled with cherry blossom and peony trees and a small pond filled with koi. There's a small gate usually locked excepting around the colder season and at night, where an outside "hot spring" is located. It's small, mostly due to it being separated for sexes, and can only fit a handful of people at a time.

Business times are 7 am - 12 am during tourist seasons, 8 am -11 pm in the off season. The bathhouse also sells drinks and packaged snacks from the counter, as well as purchase robes with the logo of the bath house on it, shirts, slippers and a key chain.

Behind the counter is a set of stairs that lead to the second floor of the bathhouse, which features an apartment. Most of the time it's left unused, but during the tourist season it's rented out as an Air B&B.

Hey! What about...?

Place: The Curry Cow (Kamadhenu's Bounty)
Description: A small family run curry shop. It serves traditional Indian-style food (as well as other things if you ask them nice enough). It is not lavish or over- blown, but comfortable and tucked away in one of the residential areas of Mayet.

The restaurant is owned by the Mehta family and it currently being run by a kindly old couple; Lekha and Riaan. They are the founders, having started the business about ten years after moving to Meyat from India. They have been pillars of the community since then and are known to take care of the local children and teenagers should their parents be out and they are in need of some fine home cooking. Their daughter Maira (Sitara's Mother) also helps out around the restaurant from time to time, knowing she will be the one to inherit it from her parents when they choose to retire.

The exterior is nothing lavish. just a simple front on a small strip mall with bright red painted doors and two large windows. A hand-painted sign hangs above the door on an awning. The words कामधेनु की कृपा (Kamadhenu's Bounty) are painted in elegant golden letters followed by the image of an open lotus flower with the head of a curled horned cow inside it. The windows are painted with golden mandalas a large "Welcome Friends!" scrawled across the top in a light-hearted greeting.

Inside, the colors seem to light up. There are many tables spread about the floor, each of them made of wood and carver with intricate cutout designs. They are painted gold, their tops painted to look like calming mandalas. The booths are large and plush, the seats overstuffed and resembling pillows much more than benches. The lights are dim, and the softest Bollywood music can we heard coming through the overhead speakers. This is often joined by the singing of the owners as they cook the food in the slightly open kitchen of to the side of the dining area.

Operating hours are from 12pm-10pm (just incase the kids are out late) though the owner are often found ushering people in at all hours of the day to feed those that seem "Underfed"

Hey! What about...?

Place: Golden Harvest Restaurant
Description: Golden Harvest is a hole in the wall type of Chinese restaurant situated across the street from the Pool of Sacred Tears bathhouse, owned and run by Niu Kai (husband to Alejandro Kai). It shares a similar looking store front on the outside, and size to accommodate both a decent crowd and the apartment situated above it.

Inside of the restaurant you definitely find that it's bigger then it looks on the outside (it's longer then it is wide) and are greeted by a podium in dark cherry wood. The check out counter is a few feet away in the same wood, with frosted set up behind it. The floor is a nice, sturdy tile in a lighter color as the walls of the front half of the restaurant host a dark color and golden carvings of the Four Heavenly Beasts in their cardinal directions. If one turns around immediately they'd be greeted by a carving of a phoenix. The lighting is warm and subtle and music plays softly through out.

As far as seating goes, on one side a set of booths line a wall under the tiger, separated by frosted glass at the tops of the seats to keep nosy neighbors from peeking over the seats. Separated by a folding partition is a small group of tables and chairs that range from seating two to seating four. There's perhaps three of each, with padded chairs for comfort.

On the opposite side set under the dragon, a large table sits, surrounded by chairs with a rotating portion built into the middle to allow for the sharing of large meals. This table is reservation only is often in demand during tourist season and holidays. The wood for all the seating is also dark cherry while the padded portions are a cream color embroidered with gold.

Along the back wall, situated next to the tortoise carving, is the door back into the kitchen. On the other side of the carving is another door that takes you to a hallway that houses the bathrooms, a back door to the outside, and a set of stairs behind a locked door that lead up to the apartment on the second floor. This apartment is where the Kai family lives.

While the restaurant prides itself on it's authentic Chinese food it is well known for it's noodles. The top dish is Secret Ingredient Soup.

Business times are 12 pm - 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and 12 pm - 12 am on Fridays and Saturdays. To-go orders can be called in starting at 11 am but are not available for pick up until noon. Please be aware that large orders will take more time to make and could take up to an hour depending on order size.

Hey! What about...?

Place: Prose and Cons
Description: Prose and Cons is a used bookshop that is a culmination of Ryo and Saoirse Katakura's life dream. It's front has large windows and a white wooden door with a glass pane, old and vintage; all amid worn brick. It even has a wrought iron and wood sign attached to the brick with the shop's name in gold lettering on it.

Inside is a wonderful maze of clearly separated, but not well labeled, sections of book genres on various colored bookshelves. All of which was arranged so that there is the occasional seating in spots, one even located up by the front window. There's even indoor plants inside. to help give it that cottagecore like charm. Up at the door is a counter with a glass inset showcasing a variety of books usually picked out at random and changed out every week.

If there is a book you're looking for and they do not carry it, feel free to ask a member of staff and they will do their best to find a copy for you. Even if it's not one they can get themselves.

In the back of the store is a door that leads to a set of stairs, which is off limits to non-employees, and a room with plenty of space for more seating. This space is usually closed off until later in the evening, 9 pm at the earliest, where it is used as a hang out area/bar like setting. Currently it serves cans or bottles of sodas, coffee, energy drinks or water; as well as hot coffee if some wish. He also sells prepackaged sandwiches and snacks, though he's in talks of trying to make a deal with a couple of the shops around him to secure better food or some means of catering for the night. Alcohol is currently not for sale, though if there is enough demand he might be willing to apply for it.

Business hours are 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Night shift is usually run by Ryo Katakura and one other person, with other shifts covered by other employees or Ryo's own son Seiji. Back room area is open from either 9 or 10 pm - 4 am.

Hey! What about...?

Place: The Grand Palace
Description: The outside of The Grand Palace sports aged white brick and large windows to the side of a white door with glass that makes up most of it. The windows are framed by extravagant curtains of crushed velvet in a midnight purple and gold, mannequins sporting the uniforms of the staff inside with marble pillars on each side.

Inside it sports a luxurious European ballroom design with a high ceiling, colored an off white color and trimmed in gold. The floor is marble tile that goes well with the marble pillars that are located at even intervals around the room. In between the pillars are "rooms" sequestered off to allow for an almost private dining for the customers where they can be catered too by their personal maid or butler. Some of the "rooms" are even decorated to look as if they are set into a garden, with real plants in the background.

The style of food found inside is mostly baked goods and tea, going for the more formal tea party sort, though some sandwiches and other drinks can be ordered. A full menu is always offered as guests are seated.

Business hours are 11 am - 8 pm seven days a week.
If one is looking to apply it never hurts to try, as they employ a lot of college students. 18+ is preferable but 16+ is hire-able for greet and busing staff.

Uniforms are required and given to staff upon hiring and must be kept on premises after your shift in your locker.

Hey! What about...?

Place: Espurresso 'Catfé'
Description: A brand new cat café that just recently opened up, Espurresso offers people a break from the daily grind to come cuddle (and play) with cute kitties, while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea, and a small assortment of sweet pastries. They've teamed up with a local cat rescue to find furever homes for Adelaide County's homeless cats and kitties, though the café has one 'resident' cat that lives there full-time too... though she only seems to enjoy the company of select people.

The café is split up into two parts- the café area itself, where the food prep is done, and the lounge itself, a cozy room where the cats can be found. There's plush chairs for the humans for sitting in (if the cats haven't claimed them for themselves), or fluffy rugs on the floor for those preferring that instead, with all of cat beds and trees for the cats. While patrons are technically prohibited from feeding the cats*, there are plenty of toys strewn about for playtime, ranging from an assortment of teaser wands, worms on strings, rattle mice, and more! A door in the back of the lounge allows for the cats to hide away somewhere more private when they're done interacting with people.

The café is open Wed-Sun from 11am-9pm, and reservations can be made online for 30 and 70 minute timeslots for groups of up to 6 people- booking online is strongly encouraged, as walk-in availability can't be guaranteed! While buying any food items or merchandise is optional, all patrons get a free polaroid of themselves with together with their new cat friend to take home with them- if they don't end up adopting the cat themselves!

*'technically', as in, certain employees will look the other way...

Hey! What about...?

Place: COTE
Description: A sheep themed maid café, this trendy little spot has been open for at least two years and is located snuggly near the station to allow for maximum foot traffic.

Owned and operated by a rather secretive individual, or perhaps someone who just doesn't want to come out and accept the drama of saying they own a maid café, COTE sits snuggly in the basement of an office building; the stairs leading down rest directly beneath a large, gaudy sign that happily advertises what lies below. It is not uncommon to see an employee in full uniform standing out front and passing out flyers to passerby, and they are almost always dressed for the season as well.

The inside of COTE is what one would come to expect of a café, with fake windows on the walls, draped with lace curtains, and booths consisting of tables and chairs rather than the typical idea of an actual booth. It promotes the idea of a Victorian tea room in as much as it can without being an actual tea room, though it's likely the original intent was just to have it look like a fine dining room before things got a bit out of hand. Usually decorated with sheep themed objects, plushes, and whatever else, the appearance changes based on the holidays and general seasons.

COTE serves actual food along with a sweets buffet, and the menu changes along with the seasons and holidays. Special requests can be made, depending on the amount of time mentioned ahead, and menus for specific dietary needs are available as well. Alcohol is not served at any time.

Business hours are Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 8 PM, and Saturday, 10 AM to 10 PM year-round, save for national holidays. Sundays are open to request for parties or other forms of private celebration, otherwise COTE is closed that day.
