Erytheia stood on the edge of an abandoned street in Destiny City. He was supposed to be patrolling. Yet all he seemed to be doing was getting lost in his own thoughts. What did it all mean? He held the small bird cage and examined the lock - just how he had been looking at it all day. It was no different now. The lock still had no keyhole at all. There really was no way to open it. Maybe he truely did need to solve the riddle on the lock before it could open. When you have overcome what only might, It is then you will see the true light, And in that moment, you shall take flight. How was he supposed to solve the whole riddle? He couldn’t even understand the first line... ”When you overcome what only might...”He repeated it over and over again. Perhaps if he could figure out just the first line he could at least have a good place to start. Without even that, he felt like he was going nowhere. What had Yuki meant when he said that he should go back to Earth to try and figure out what the lock meant? ✪

Why am I out here again? Caliban thought to himself as he wandered around the city for a bit. Key was out for the night, and he had just gotten done with another shift, and he had been planning on just going home and relaxing, waiting for Key to come back but something had told him that he should power up. And so here he was, though he wasn't sure why he felt the need to power up. Still he would wander around until he found... whatever it was. And after another minute of walking, he felt a familiar type of signature. "Squire... wonder what they're up to." He muttered to himself as he walked in the direction that it was coming from. Eventually he found the squire that it belonged to, and well, they certainly stood out. They weren't hard to miss. As he got closer to them he yelled out a "Hey!" So as to not startle the squire by getting right next to them and trying to talk. Though they would be surprised either way. Especially since the squire seemed to be looking at something, though Caliban couldn't tell what it was. When he was finally close enough though, Caliban spoke again, this time in a regular voice. "So uh... I felt your signature and I was curious so I'm here... now." He was really, really bad at small talk. "Super Senshi Caliban of Sealing at your service if you need any help though." Yeah, he totally didn't sound like an idiot.

The squire was about to repeat the first line of the riddle again when he heard the voice. He looked up with amber eyes, blinking once to make sure he was seeing things correctly. He had been so involved in his own thoughts that he hadn’t picked up on the strong Order-level signature coming from the senshi. He could feel it now, though, and, this time, it only took a moment for him to pick up on the level. Super. The Mauvian had been training him well. ”I’m Erytheia of Cosmos.” He paused for a moment looking back down at the bird cage in his hands. Yuki had sent him home to solve this riddle. Perhaps he meant for Erytheia to ask for others’ help. ”You said you are the senshi of Sealing?” Erytheia said, a bit embarrassed to be asking such a large question to someone he just met. ”Could you take a look at this lock? I can’t get it to open and I think I need to solve the riddle on it to... unlock it, I guess.”A lock made of pure crystal seems to be keeping the bird cage closed. There is no keyhole that you can see. ✪

"Erytheia of Cosmos. It's nice to meet you. I don't think I've talked to any other Cosmos knights one on one..." He could have, but he didn't remember. Though the knight he talked to most was Gorner... He wondered if they were all space-rainbow themed though. "Uh, yeah. I can try to help. Though my magic has a lot more to do with sealing things away. But I haven't tried unsealing things..." Would he be able to do that? On his moon he thought he saw in some illustrations the ability to seal away and unseal things. Though since he avoided his moon so much he wasn't sure if he would have the ability to do it himself. And with that thing still there, there still might be a curse to where he couldn't unseal things. Caliban walked closer to the Erytheia and took a quick look at the lock. A feeling of familiarity washed over him. He didn't recognize the lock, but more the fact that it seemed to be just the type of thing that he felt as though he had done before... but this one was clearly different and not connected. Or at least connected in a way he could see. From what he looked at, it would have his symbol on it if any of the priests from his planet had done it. This lock only had the mysterious words that the squire was having trouble with. He gave the other a wry smile. "I'm sorry. I don't think my magic can help in this situation. But I can try to help solve the riddle?" He felt bad for possibly getting the other's hopes up, but this seemed to be a personal item, something that was very important to the other. Perhaps it was meant to be unsealed only by Erytheia. Meighei I hope I made enough distinction that the lock was absolutely not done by Caliban's home planet stuff. Don't want to god-mod!

Erytheia tried not to show his disappointment. He had hoped - falsely - that this would be simple. He should know better. Yuki, his ansestor, was never easy to understand. ”It’s okay. I was a bit foolish to think it would be as easy as asking you to open it for me... I was told I had to solve the riddle, so I suppose I have to figure out what it means... But I think you can still help!”He thought for a moment and looked once more at the lock. ”Maybe if we start with the first line... let’s see...” He paused and read just the first line aloud for Caliban. ”What do you think it means?”✪

Caliban felt guilty about not being able to help the other, and a bit annoyed at how the other had phrased it. Honestly he could have just told the squire that it was his problem and then left. This was why he didn't like talking to people. But he managed to calm himself down, figuring that the squire hadn't meant it in that way. He took a look at the line that the squire was talking about. "When you have overcome what only might..." It was a weird line, and he was glad that he didn't have to deal with this sort of stuff as a senshi. "Well, if we were to look at it from a more literal angle, then maybe it's talking about might as in some sort of strength? If we want to go with the... less literal route, then maybe it's about something that seems like it only be overcome with might, but actually can be defeated in another way? That's all I can think of off the top of my head." Maybe if he had a few hours he could think of something else, but that wasn't going to happen. Meighei I'm so sorry for being late about this!

So... something that could be solved with strength.Erytheia mulled over the senshi’s suggestion. Could that be it? No. It was too literal. Yuki was never literal. ”I don’t think it has to do with strength.” The squire turned red for a moment and backtracked quickly. He didn’t want Caliban to think that he thought the senshi was unhelpful. Far from it! ”No. That was a good suggestion. But, knowing my ancestor, it is more likely the second option... the less literal one.”Think... Erytheia... think. This was so frustrating. It was making him worry that they would never figure it out. He didn’t want to waste Caliban’s time either. ”What could be overcome, not with might as in strength, but something else? And what would that something else be?” Erytheia again looked flustered and quite contrite. ”I am very sorry. I worry about everything. What if I don’t get this right?”What might happen if he doesn’t figure this out? ✪SSBrosB The answer lies in the double meaning of the word ‘might’.

Caliban nodded. He was certainly glad he didn't have to deal with this or any other ancestor stuff. Okay well, he had his own problems on his moon, but at least the threat there was physical rather than a riddle. Even if the latter was probably easier to deal with. "Well, what about 'might' as in you 'might' be able to do something." He rubbed his head. "Not good with words. I don't talk to strangers that much. I guess what I mean is it's in terms of you 'might' be able to overcome something. Like it could happen in the future maybe? Not sure if I'm making any sense. I don't think I can come up with anything else, sorry." And Caliban was. He didn't like to see someone struggling like this, especially with something so important as their history, or at least the history of their line. He had seen the unintelligible books on his planet that he had hoped he could one day desperately read, but there was nothing. As though they had wanted to make sure no one else could read their writing. Meighei Agh I'm so sorry about this! I will try to finish this asap!

A spark flashed in Erytheia’s eyes as he thought about what Caliban told him. Might? As in, ‘what might happen’? Don’t worry about what might happen! ”That’s it! I have to stop worrying about what might happen! The line means not to worry about what hasn’t happened yet!”And, with that, a small crack appeared on the crystalline lock next to the very first line. ”You helped me solve the first line!” The squire’s face was flush with excitement. ”Thank you so much!”✪SSBrosB We can end it here. Caliban jumped back at the sudden excitement and subsequent cracking that had followed the Knight's exclamation. He really wasn't used to such enthusiasm. Caliban took a moment to look at the knight and the lock and then nodded. "Uh, you're welcome I guess." Did he really do anything though? He didn't know, but the other at least seemed happy about it. It was time to call it a night though. "All right, well, I'll see you around sometime then." Caliban said, giving the other a nod and starting the walk back to his apartment. He supposed it was better than getting into another fight at least. Meighei End from me! I apologize once again for taking so long!
