Challenge:

Fuku Colour:
Main Color: #4f2a00
Secondary Color: #edbc6e

Fuku:
User Image
Collar -- A simple short collar, if allowed then the hood is attached to it.
Bow -- A brown sash instead of a bow, though the area that it's tied to can be a small bow if the artist wants.
Bodice -- See ref, though it can certainly have the ends of it shorter, about up to his mid thighs if needed.
Sleeves -- Sleeves cut off at the shoulder, see ref
Brooch -- A golden circle broach, symbol of a mongoose tail and/or a tooth inside maybe?
Bottoms -- Gray pants, could be tight or loose, depends on what the artist looks best
Tiara -- Either a slim gold band with a tooth in the center or a golden cloth with said tooth
Choker -- Maybe a slim gold chain choker?
Shoes -- Boots that go up three quarters of the way to his knees, maybe slightly pointed at the tips where the toes are, small heels to them, fur at the tops.
Gloves -- Finger less gloves that cover about 3/4th's of his arms with fur at the tops.
Accessories -- If it can't be attached to the collar then I guess the hood would be an accessory, it has fur around the face opening and little sewn mongoose ears on top.
The DMC transparent cloth could be attached to his upper back, flow down to attach again at his hips then flow off into a 'tail' behind him. or if that doesn't quite fit the rules maybe have it loop around his chest to attach in the front but still can make a 'tail' in the back?

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Māo yòu de yá ~ Fang of the Mongoose
Range: Close range, must touch the target to get the effect
Effect: Until the spell finishes, whenever Panacea manages to make a physical attack and/or touch it has the added effect of making the target feel as if they had been bitten by a mongoose. It leaves little red marks where the effect happens but they fade within 20 seconds of receiving it. How bad the feelings of being bitten are dependent on target level and player discretion.
Duration: The spell lasts for 20 seconds and can be used a total of three times.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Ang hé māo yòu de zhuǎzi ~ Fang and claw of the Mongoose
Range: Close range, must touch the target or be within a foot to get the effect
Effect: More effective then the previous stage attack, it now feels as if the target is both bitten and clawed when Panacea makes contact with someone or if he almost makes contact with them so long as it's close enough. At this stage the marks left behind can vary from the same red marks from the base stage attack to leaving actual gashes as if they were bitten or claws by a real mongoose. The marks disappear once the spell power fades unless the target player wants them to stay for plots.
The strength of the attack is dependent on target level, range, and player discretion. For instance if Panacea makes a move to attack, misses a foot away then it will be no stronger then the base stage strength but closer means more strength.
Duration: The spell lasts for 20 seconds and can be used a total of two times.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Māo yòu de fēixíng ~ Flight of the Mongoose
Range: 20 feet in a circle around him
Effect: Four glowing mongoose appear around him, the size of medium dogs, and they attack his target or targets until the spell is over. The magical mongoose can only stay within twenty feet of Panacea in all directions but can gang up on targets if that is what Panacea wills them to.
While technically this means he can attack up to four targets with the spell at a time, as each of the four can one on one a target, it's easier for his targets to get out of range the more targets he has.

A single mongoose attacking is a minor inconvenience, doing less damage then what Panacea's first stage attack does, but the danger ramps up as more focus on one target as then the target has to deal with multiple attackers doing the same amount of damage to them. Player's can of course have their characters dodge/avoid the magical mongoose, though how easy that happens depends on the level of the character as the higher they are the easier it is thanks to faster movement and reflexes.

Duration: Lasts for 15 seconds and can be used a total of two times.

Hi Natsuko!

There's just a few small things we need to clean up a bit for Panacea before we can give him his stamp. Would you mind taking a quick look at the below two points for me and decide which you would like to go with? n_n
  • Super Sailor Scout Attack
    Unfortunately DMS aren't allowed to cause permanent/lasting damage after their magic ends as a standard. This means that at the moment we can't let his power through because it does leave permanent gashes. In order for us to sign off on this attack you would need to either:
    • Change the gashes to fading the same way the bite marks do.
    • Indicate that the player he's fighting can choose whether or not the gashes are permanent and have to heal on their own.

    Either of these adjustments will work so it's up to you to decide which you would like to pursue!

  • Eternal Sailor Attack
    This may seem like a silly question (apologies!) but can you confirm what you mean by 'a spell at a time'? Do you mean one mongoose can attack per target. I know, this sounds like a genuinely silly question but I want to make sure I'm reading it right for you.

    Can you also give me a rough idea of how much 'damage' these mongoose can do as well, just so I have an idea of how powerful each of these are on their own (and when they decide to all attack one target)?

    Uniform wise he seems should be ok, his hood can be attached to his collar as far as I'm aware (the collar just has to be separate from his 'bodice'!

    One of our artists should be able to make sure that he still looks close to his reference while keeping to the more specific parts of the guidelines if anything is definitely off , but based on what you have suggested for him this looks okay to me.

    Once we get his powers squared off he should be in a good spot!

    Hi Epine!

    Thank you very much for the feed back, unfortunately powers are usually my weakest parts of the characters so it always helps a ton when I get it. heart

    I figured the permanent marks were iffy but couldn't fully remember if they were allowed so left it in at that moment, I'll change it to reflect them disappearing unless the player wants them too since I know things like that can be good for plots <3

    It's not a silly question, I wrote the eternal attack while still nap groggy so I'm not surprised to see there is some confusing wordings and what not. I meant that if there were multiple targets within the range then the mongoose could split up and attack a single target each, but since it's not focusing down someone they do less damage overall per character by the time the attack ends.

    The way I figured this attack damage would work is, one on one the mongoose is a mild inconvenience(a bit less then Panacea's first stage attack, it's job is more as a distraction) and the more that are attacking a target the more dangerous it gets since then the person would have to worry about multiple attackers all doing that same amount of damage. I wanted to make sure people had a lot of wiggle room for plotting but wasn't sure how to make it not over powered at the same time. Any ideas how to go about that if that doesn't sound good?

    Awesome, good to know I didn't go too out there as it's been over a year since I designed a character for here (RL getting in the way from even dipping my toes to rp).

    The last stage attack actually sounds okay when you explain it how you have. The only thing I would ask you to do is pretty much outline what you just did there for me! So in the Eternal attack just mention what you did there, one is a minor inconvenience/distraction but if more of them are on the same target it becomes more dangerous because they have more to look out for/dodge. (You can always mention the player can choose to avoid/dodge as many as they would like with higher level players finding it easier to do, while lower ranked players might struggle more? That accounts for the different ranks you can end up encountering as an Eternal WOULD be strong the a newbie nega agent!)

    The power-levels are ok to me, we just need to make them a bit clearer so the people who are fighting him know how to reply properly to each of the attacks and that should cover it. =D

    With his second stage attack changed to let the marks fade unless people want them to stay that also clears up the concern with that attack as well.

    I like to try and help people make the powers they want work but I've been lucky on this one as you pretty much had everything you needed bar one or two little bits that needed tweaked so I'd say you did well for someone who was groggy! x3

    With those changes made I'd be happy to plunk a trial stamp on him and have a GM do the final checks to get him signed off for you. n_n

    Well then thank you very much for getting my thoughts straight enough to actually write that description for the attack as well as the add on information heart

    Thanks, I always get nervous I'm over powering or under powering the magic so I try to at least make it have a good description so whoever it is can help with that, and you certainly helped!

    Natsuko,

    This looks good to me! I do have two things to go over but they aren't enough to prevent me from dropping a stamp! The first, for his eternal magic I think it would be fine to say that the mongeese are the same strength as his super magic and to raise both uses to 20 seconds if you like! You have no obligation to change this, but if you wanted to it would still be stampable!

    The only thing I can note otherwise is about the uniform! This is something you can work out with your artist, but because he is a DMC he will need metal bracers and he should have a transparent overlay attached to the upper half of the bodice, usually near the collar or below the bust; it has to be attached on the front of the uniform. However! As long as it has an overlay that meets those criteria, he could also have a transparent overlay or fabric of some sort to mimic the 'tail' you described!
