Hobbies: Singing ~ His Mother used to joke that he was her little songbird when he was little since he would sing all the time. It was something he could share with her though and he kept it up through the years even though he never planned to making a career out of it. Mostly he will just start singing when the room is too quiet, when he's in the car, or when he is cooking.
Cooking ~ With his Father being a professional chef, he had been fascinated with helping his Dad out with dinner ever since he was around six. Now that he is grown he still enjoys cooking, and will tend to cook at random times beyond normal meal times even if it's just something small.
Tennis ~ When he was in middle school, his best friend dragged him into the tennis club since he didn't want to go on his own. This lead to Kai joining said club and finding out that he was rather good at the sport and enjoyed playing. He's been making sure to keep up his skills up and improving through the years and have kept joining any tennis teams available each school when possible.
Virtues: Self-sufficient ~ As close as he is with his parents, he was taught from a young age to be able to rely on himself and how to take care of himself. This has lead him to regularly do things such as his own budget as well as taking care of all the chores in the house. This has helped a lot since he moved to his own apartment and it's so ingrained into him that if a problem pops up then he just shrugs and deals with it to the best of his abilities and only bothers to ask for advice if he has no understanding at all.
Hard Worker ~ If he needs to do something, from chores to school work, he puts his all into it. He refuses to do anything sloppily though he doesn't stride for perfection as he just prefers to give it his best. Though his best is something he keeps striving to improve all the time as well. This of course spills over into any relationships he has as he will try his best to be a good friend and will work to keep up friendships and other such relationships for as long as possible if they are failing.
Flaws: Impulsive ~ It doesn't take much of a thought before he is off doing a thing that at the time sounds like a good idea. It's midnight and he suddenly wants to cook x dish but is out of ingredients? You better believe he's going to the store to pick them up if possible. While he has tried to tone it down, it's something that he does as a knee jerk reaction and half the time it's only after the fact that he realized he shouldn't have done that. This is one of the reasons he's never going to go professional in tennis because as good of a player he is, he can't quite curb making impulsive plays at times.
Has a hard time relying on others ~ It's a side effect from being raised to be so self-sufficient that his parents hadn't been expecting. While he doesn't mind it as much when it's his parents he has to rely on, if it anyone else his mood plummets and he might get confrontational depending on who and why he was having to rely on someone for. He's sick as a dog and needs someone to keep an eye on him for a few days? Nope he's going to push that person away so he can take care of himself. Someone has to teach him how to do something in school or work? That's fine since he can learn what it is as quickly as possible to be able to do it on his own.
