                    Powers |
In all her great power Iridis can... !!! Make flowers grow real good. It's like earth magic, but if it only worked on flowering plants and the only sure result is that they will bloom AMAZING flowers. Iridis's ability can work on any flowering plant but she must affect them from a seed state. Seeds infused with her magic will grow 75% faster for small plants, 50% faster for shrug like plants, and 20% faster for trees. They will all bloom for about that percentage longer as well, even in non-optimal conditions. Plants which were infused with magic by a Flower Fairy always have the best and healthiest blooms, but aside from that, also have the chance to sprout enchanted flowers. Enchanted flowers range in effect as much as well... normal enchantments, but the powerful ones are rare and the Flower Fairy has no control over it, as it depends on the natural properties of the seed that they are enhancing. At least the flowers are always nice for selling whether they end up magical or not!

As an aside, she has potential for channeling her magic in other ways, but she doesn't know any besides a transformation spell between her smaller, original form, and the one she learned to take in order to attend the Academy.

Flight might also be considered a power of hers, although she can only fly because she weighs near nothing.

                    Personality |
Iridis is a dreamer and she has a million grand ideas about almost everything in life. This means she can easily expect too much of a person or situation, and once her optimism fades, she can be easily disappointed. While she tries to do her very best, as that fits with her romanticized notion of things, the truth is she's not used to hard work and can easily become overwhelmed. Positive reinforcement goes a long way and she'll cling to any bit of belief someone extends in agreement with her rosy outlook, and on the flip side, become quickly discouraged by those who show her reality. Most people would probably find her wishy-washiness strange and it wouldn't be unusual to classify her as an odd duck in the way she goes about acting based on her dreamy ideas. Pride, at times, is the net which stops her from completely giving up on difficult things.

                    History |
Serving the royalty of the Fae, that's what Iridis did alongside her family! The service rendered? Tending to the garden. Not so much royal gardeners as gardeners for royalty, her family never wanted for much but it couldn't be said that anyone really respected them. Content to play with her flowers for the first half of her life, it took Iridis some time to realize that that was all which was expected of her, and because of that, more powerful Fae looked down on her and her kind as... as... insignificant.

Insignificant! Iridis WAS happy with her flowers, but she didn't want to be insignificant. Then it happened. In a rare chance to go outside of the Fae realms, Iridis happened to see a knight in action. She became completely enamored, but not with the knight, rather, with the concept of being a knight. She started doing her best to learn all about them, excited to lap up any information about knights from the Fae as she could find. When she started asking about Queen Cordelia Academy, her parents were quick to point out that no Flower Fairy's were knights, likely for a reason. It was a notion Iridis refused to accept, despite the fact that she was small enough to sit atop flowers and had no practical skills. Alas, her parents did want her to be happy and... hoping their daughter would learn something about the world without being in danger. She had to attend classes for some months to perfect transformation, something Flower Fairies rarely had need for, and then, alas, her parents finalized her enrollment at the Academy! Perhaps the Academy would quickly crush her hopes, but Iridis headed to the campus with every certainty in her mind that she could became a respectable knight, somehow proving her worth and that of other Flower Fairies.

Her whole appearance might be considered notable to those not familiar with Flower Fairies, and its not as if they transform often. Her skin is petal smooth but surprisingly she doesn't feel as squishy as one might think. Rather than the give of human skin, the resistance of her skin is closer to squeezing a plant stem. Her skin changes from a Light Orchid color, to light green, to deep magenta at her extremities. Notably, she has large petals for hair which grow in many layers. They are not particularly resistant to falling out, but they grow very quickly, so her living space is likely to have scattered petals just as humans might find hair here and there. Her eyes are one uniform Dark Orchid color which have a tendency to reflect gold in the dark. Last of note would be her largest feature, her wings, which feel like a waxy leaves. They are thicker than might be expected, and can bend without breaking.

Iridis, no surprise, has the sweet scent of flowers about her. It's like being next to a flowering tree. As such, she does tend to attract bugs, but this never seems to bother her, it doesn't appear most bug stings or bites can pierce her skin anyhow.

Her wings appear to grow very slowly over time, and in layers, suggesting that, like her hair, her wings may also grow back in as needed. Considering the amount of time it takes, however, Iridis is careful about things which may cut or otherwise damage her wings.
