Elemental Spells:
-Lightning: Ethan shoots a weak bolt of lightning at a target
-Firebolt: Ethan shoots a small ball of fire at a target
-Wind: Ethan creates either a strong gust of wind, or can be shaped into a blade of wind
-Freeze: A freezing spell, rapidly cooling something. Air is brought to frigid temperatures, while liquids are typically frozen, depending on their melting point. Cast on a person or object, Freeze will encase the target in ice.
-Stone Bullets: Gathering dust and sand from the air or ground, Ethan forms bullet-like projectiles that can be fired at a target.

Personality |
- Ethan likes to consider himself as a calm and mature. He tries to take everything in stride, though he can get stressed and overwhelmed at times. He’s run away from his problems in the past, so facing things head on can be a bit of a challenge for him, though he is good at coming up with creative solutions. He’s curious and analytical, but can sometimes let his imagination get away from him.
Having lived as a thief for a bit, Ethan’s moral compass doesn’t always point in the right direction, though he tries to act as honorably as he can most of the time. It bugs him to see those living without some sort of code, and as hypocritical as it might seem, he’s been known to call these types of people out. He can be pretty materialistic and stingy, but values his friends above all. He tends to be honest to a fault with those he's close to, so you won’t catch him taking advantage of anyone he really cares for. He's still a capable liar, and has no qualms about using this skill on people he doesn't consider friends.
Around others, Ethan tends to be fairly calm and polite. He’s good with words, and can be a real charmer, but can end up tongue tied if he gets flustered or worked up. It’s not hard to get under his skin if he’s worked up, and he’s definitely the type to bicker over stupid things when he gets like this. He doesn’t hold many grudges though, and getting on his bad side is a little harder than you’d think. He takes his friendships very seriously, though he tends to forget about people he doesn’t particularly care for.
History |
- "I don't remember much from before I was five years old. My earliest memories are of vast forests and stone temple, but I don't know how I got from there to the inner city orphanage in I grew up in. I'd run away a lot, looking for those forests, but was always found and brought back. At twelve, I was adopted, by a seemingly nice family that didn't seem to mind a challenge like myself. I was moved halfway across Aeston to a small town called Glenarm. It was surrounded by forest, and I felt truly alive for the first time. I was quick to run off again, right into the forest.
There was a part of me that flourished in the wilderness. A part that learned to hone my abilities to communicate with the wildlife, and use every advantage I had to find dinner and make it to tomorrow. But when I made it through to find the city of Silverkeep not far, I didn't look back as I eased back into the familiar city life. To the part of me that was afraid of my powers, afraid of needing them to survive. Instead, I learned magic from books. I enchanted things, and sold them. Nothing special, but it kept me fed most days. I didn't hear from my adopted parents at all during this time.
Living in Silverkeep, it was hard not to hear about Queen Cordelia Academy. It seemed perfect for me. I'd spent too much time surviving, and not enough living. Maybe getting an education and learning a little about myself would help me fix that. And at the very least, I could better my enchanting skills. I applied as a freshman once I turned fourteen.
I have a tendency not to think things through entirely, and I applied with my legal name. I guess someone told my adoptive parents, since they showed up at the school like a week later in tears. I probably should have seen it coming, but I kinda thought they forgot about me. They were upset that I ran away, but are letting me stay at the school. They've moved to Silverkeep though, and I try visit them on the weekends. It's still hard to consider myself close to them. They're nice people though, and I feel kind of bad for not trying harder.
During my first year, I joined the archeology club, wondering if I could do some research on temples and find out more about my past. The club room is like a smaller version of the library, absolutely filled with old reference books and notes taken by long-gone alumni. I haven't gotten through it all yet, but now that I'm the club captain, I have unrestricted access to it all.
Over that first year and the following summer, I became uncomfortable with my body and how people saw it, and me. There wasn't much I could do about it, but I began binding my chest and referring to myself as a male. I picked the name Ethan for myself, though I don't mind my old nickname, Tay, since I think I always prefered it for being more masculine than my deadname."

Other |
- His legal name is still Thalia Wishart, though the school has changed his name in their systems.
As an enchanter, he has a couple of favored items:
-He often keeps an enchanted knife stashed somewhere, usually with a basic elemental enchantment.
-He has a flying broom.
-His strongest weapon is a magical revolver. It holds six rechargeable batteries made out of silver, and discharges magical energy as a projectile attack. He typically charges the batteries himself, so shots tend not to be lethal. If he recites a certain incantation before firing, he can discharge all six batteries at once, though this destroys whichever battery the shot fires from.
