xxx Today with the festival going on the cafe was empty as most of the students and teachers were attending the festival. The only thing to be heard in the Blue Sky Cafe was the classical music playing in the background and the sound of a kettle slowly boiling. Sean, the young owner of the cafe was the only one to be inside the cafe who was sweeping the floor as there was nothing else for the Gender Bender to do while he waited for the kettle to boil so he could have a cup of tea. He had not had this cafe for long so not many people knew about it but he hoped that people would find this a comfortable place. The male let out a sigh as he finished sweeping the floor of his cafe and ran his hand through his pony tail while looking around the cafe. " My, I didn't think it would be this quiet today." He said with a light chuckle before the sound of the kettle went off. The now young male turned his head to the side to were the sound was coming from and leaned his broom on a wall before making his way over behind the counter.

Sean poured himself cup of rose tea that he male himself along with most of the things in the cafe. Lifting the elegant white tea cup to his soft lips, Sean breathed in the tea, taking in all of its smells before taking a sip of it. The males head tilted back a little with his eyes closed as he took in the flavours of one of his many creations. A sigh in approval escaped Seans lips as his head retracted back to look inside his tea cup with a smile of approval. Sean then started to get lost in his own thoughts and wondered what the festival would be like at the academy. He had heard a little about it and he even had a flyer about it in his cafe. There was what most festivals had when it came to booths but there was also a ball.

The Gender Bender could of gone, but Sean figured it would be a little odd for someone who was not a teacher or student to attend. It would of been better if he was a friend with someone from the academy but Sean did not know anyone so he figured it be best to stay at the cafe. Though Sean would of loved to attend the ball as Sean loved to dance to classical music. He could of worn his tux or even his ball gown that never gets worn enough. Thinking about the gown, Sean placed his hand on his chest, thinking how would people react to him becoming a her. Seans so called gift was complicated and not many people understood. Hell, Sean didn't understand at times.

Sengo Muramasa

"The opponent you have to fight is none other then your own image."

Hero

Sengo had lost track of time he had come form the academy's festival then to a quick call before returning to the city, needless to say he was beat and above all he was starving he walked the streets moving in and out of the flow of people before he noticed a little Cafe and with his stomach yelling at him he thought it was time to stop and eat something before his stomach eats him alive. He finely made it to the door after making it through the sea of people before he opens it and takes a step inside to notice it was dead and honestly he liked the idea he spent to much time around people today as it was he then noticed a male behind the counter with a cup of tea or something and he looks around it was a nice place, granted he has never seen this place before but some times those are the best places to go.Sengo makes his way to the counter and gives the man a bow."Good day to you."He says with a smile as he sits down."Nice little place you have here."He adds as he sighs once he sits finely able to get off his feet, working the night was starting to put hell on his body.

xxx Removing Seans hand from his chest he began to play with his pony tail out of being board. Maybe he should of gone to the festival after all? It was still felt odd to go when he was not a student or teacher. It would of been a little different if he knew someone there but right now he didn't know anyone. Oh well, there was always next time as there are bound to be more festivals at the academy right?

Just then the little bell at the door went off, letting Sean know that someone had entered the cafe. Looking over at the door he noticed a red haired man had entered the cafe. Oh was this young man Seans first customer?! Letting go of his long blue hair, Sean gave the man a smile. " Welcome!" The Gender Bender said happily, glad to see that someone had come into his cafe. Seans violet like eyes watched the young man bow slightly before coming to sit at the counter. " Why thank you. Here have a cup of tea, on the house as you are my first customer." Sean said with a smile as he set his own cup of tea down before he poured his customer a cup of tea. Sean gently sat the cup of tea in front of the red haired man and gave him a smile. " Its a rose tea, made with the roses that I grow myself in the back. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do." He said before taking a sip of his own tea before asking. "So what brings you here?"

xxx Sean had this cafe opened for a while now, since the start of the school year and so for business was not doing as well as Sean would like. The genderbender knew it would take time for people to get to know about the but it didn't help that there was a cafe at the school itself. Even so, Sean never gave up! The genderbender worked hard everyday and letting nothing get him or she down. Sean knew within time things would come around. Still, it was a little depressing that so far Sean had not made any friends since moving here. It was a little lonely at times but then again Sean was use to it. Before moving here it was pretty much the same before moving here for Sean. If the genderbender did have any friends they did not last long after finding out what Seans main ability was.

It was another day at the cafe for Sean and as usual the young cafe owner was hard at work getting the cafe open. Who knows? Maybe today is the day that the cafe is full of people! Sean may have to put up a "Help Wanted" sign on his door! One could only hope. The genderbender was in his male form today as usual seeing he didn't want confuse anyone who had seen him before even though that was not likely. A few people came in the morning for small things such as coffees and a pastry and Sean was more then willing to help and serve his customers. Soon though, like always there was no one in the cafe but Sean with the only thing to be heard is the light music playing in the cafe. Letting out a sigh, Sean poured himself a cup of his famous rose tea and leaned against the counter. Lifting the white small teacup to his soft lips, the blue haired cafe owner took a sip and was happy to say that he made one hell of a pot of tea once again. "Maybe I should try making a new tea?" He muttered to himself as he played with his ponytail a little.

The ball of hot air was probably still in the sky, right? I mean, it wasn’t as if there something that could possibly tell the time for him. If any notion of such an object exist, then it wasn’t on them. Goldilocks lacked any sort of cellular device, nor did they possess a watch to tell them the time. Honestly, the only thing that could help them determine the time was the golden sphere, but even that seemed too elusive to grant the young man some information. No matter! At least the Cerretti always found something to be smiling about. Maybe they could be smiling about the sun in the sky, the couples that lacked much substance in their relationship, or the dreadful anticipation that someone felt while their patience was growing thin. Yes, the young adult was a bit of an oddball who had a strange bit of humor to them. At least it wasn’t anything that posed any harm to anyone around. To think that there were people who actually went out of their way to ostracized him was entertaining. How did that start again? Oh, yes, it had something to do with a flame-headed individual who informed various people that Ryan was a dangerous man. That was quite funny truthfully. Where they were able to dig up that kind of information was still a mystery. No matter! If people wanted to judge them based on their face without knowing his character, that was up to them.

Ah! Nothing placed a damper on the golden boy’s demeanor. Their destination was to a particular cafe within the city. Word was that it held quite the interesting bit of amusement. What that particular amusement may be was really for the orchid lense male to see. Perhaps there was a little treasure waiting within. Who knows why there was such low activity within the city. It was almost as if there were only a handful of people within. Quite odd. Still, there were the usual lifeless souls that staggered from place to place. Their expressions varied depending on many factors, but that was really enough about them. The true star of the day was right in front of their eyes.

Right above them was a sign labeled Blue Skies Cafe. Perhaps not a whole lot of students would be off in this location considering that there was a cafe within the school ground. Yet, that was precisely why goldilocks found some solace in this location. Sources informed the male that they should go and say a friendly hello to the owner of the shop. Apparently their features were supposed to be striking enough for just about anyone to know who was in charge of the establishment. That also meant an opportunity to have some friendly chatter with people who were aware of the surroundings. Yes, it would do him good to know more about the place that he was to call home.

Without much further ado, Ryan pushed the door open and was welcomed with the various aromas of coffee beans and tea leaves. There were other scents present but that wasn’t the focus right now. The establishment probably sold all manners of snacks here. Such an assortment was perhaps one reason why there were still a few customers lingering within. It felt empty but there was really only one person that caught Ryan’s attention. The teal-colored hair stood out from the crowd. Now one could understand when they meant that the owner was quite visible to see. The student went on over to the adult in the establishment, seating himself on a soft chair.
”Good day to you, how’s business been good sir.”

The girl was eager to arrive at the cafe after her late wake up call. She had been studying most of the night and her alarm clock had decided to stop working on today of all days. After taking a quick shower, brushing her teeth, all that fun stuff, young Mokihana would begin the walk over to the cafe. By some stroke of luck, she hadn't missed the important date setup between somebody she was always excited to meet. Her pace was slow and cautiously, her eyes watching the distant streaks of lights and such come closer until she passed them entirely. A couple walking a dog would come by as slivers of brown, black and white with smaller ones trudging along with them on the ground. She had a few spills and almost ran into a man who stood still and couldn't see, but with no other accidents or trip ups, Mokihana would reach the cafe.

Entering by herself, she would gaze around at some of the people present, adjusting her glasses a little to help her see better. With only a little trips here every now and again, the girl had only a very novice knowledge of how the setup here was. Instead, she would sit until a staff member came to her and smiled at them...or maybe a tad off or so. "Yes. I was hoping for an empty booth. I'm expecting company." Her right hand held onto the staff member's arm, catching a confused glance and then what she presumed an understanding of the situation. They would travel to an empty booth there and Mokihana used her hands to navigate around to the empty seat and then sat down. "Thank you so much." She said, resting her hand son the table and then taking her phone out of her pocket. An earbud was placed in her right ear while she began to look for new stuff on news feeds, maybe look at some upcoming games stuff she was looking forward too. Nothing to do but wait.

"Do you have a second to spare?"

The stereotype was supposed to be that the woman took forever to get ready while the man waited impatiently near the door out. That simply was not true in this household. Miss Love, Jasper's secretary, was doing her best to convince her boss that everything was perfect and they could head out now, but Jasper would have none of it. When it came to getting to spend time with his beloved niece, there was no such thing as "good enough." Perfect was the only quality he would permit. There were minute details he labored over, not necessarily thinking that she would notice them, but quite certain she would notice if he didn't do it. For instance, because her sight was none too good, Jasper would never focus much on making sure his attire looked perfect together, instead he focused on it having the right textures and feel. He typically went with silk or velvet when he was around her: materials that were pleasing to the hand. But they also had to be sufficiently tough so that she would not worry about damaging anything when she took hold of his arm. He finally settled on a deep burgundy silk smoking jacket with black cotton slacks and an airy white collared shirt. Yes it was probably too fancy for where he was going, but that was what he wore on a normal basis and it didn't feel very fancy to him. As soon as he was ready and almost out of the door, Ms. Love handed him a wrapped box a little larger than her fist. He quickly kissed her upon the lips before heading out to the waiting '45 Bentley that was waiting for him.

He arrived exactly when he wanted to: precisely at the meeting time. Even though there were people ahead of him in line, they moved out of the way, and a waiter quickly came to tend to him. "My niece should be here already. She is a most charming girl, most beautiful, really. An impeccable young lady of seeming Polynesian descent." The waiter had been growing nervous at this description, for they were all very subjective qualities, but the Polynesian part rang a bell and he nodded, leading Jasper straight to the young lady. Before he had quite gotten to her, Jasper made sure to greet her. She seemed quite engrossed in whatever she was reading, and it simply would not do to startle her. "My sweet little Hana, have you been waiting long? I would have been early if I knew you were going to be early as well." Having warned her of his presence, he approached her, hoping she would leap up and hug him, but willing to take what he could get.

It was quite a slow day at the cafe here. People would pass her by in the booth carrying a variety of delicious plates of baked goods. The scebts in here made her stomach growl in hunger. Maybe skipped breakfast wasn't the best idea but it wasn't everyday that she was expecting company now that she was at school and such. Her mother had always blocked her inside of that house of hers for the longest times. She had to be home by 6, in bed by 10. And lights out at 11. All was fine and dandy when she was 10 but after her 13th birthday it was getting to be a painful rule to follow. Mokihana wanted to hang with friends and was constantly having to sit out just because of her mom's weird rules that she never wanted to get into. Even coming here was a battle and a half. If it wasn't for some help from her uncle, Hana likely wouldn't even be here. She could have been trapped in that he'll, devoid of any social life. Mokihana let out an exasperated sigh and continued scrolling across the screen of her phone, listening to the text to speech program read things aloud to her. It went on about that new game about a dragon going around and collecting gems. That was coming out pretty soon...

"My sweet little Hana, have you been waiting long? I would have been early if I knew you were going to be early as well."

The voice took young Hana by surprise looking up as her once frustrated lips were quickly formed into a wide smile. "Uncle!" The girl got out of her seat and wrapped her arms around her dear family member. They had met so long ago and yet he still treated her as one of his own. Her hugs to him were full of excitement and love, even if they shared the faintest of ties. Jasper always wore such nice and elegant material. A soft yet still fashionable top that had always helped her feel a bit more at ease with him. Mokihana looked up at the man with an always appreciative expression. She had always felt bad about taking away his time when it came to his little excursions with her. "I got here around 5 minutes ago, but it's fine! Thanks for coming to see me. I'm just glad to finally be able to get out of that house. How are things going with you? Do you need my help? I promise not to pass out like last time."

While not too keen on the entirety of his work, Mokihana enjoyed helping others with her power and Jasper was no exception. In fact, he was a big inspiration for wanting to better herself. Even if that meant taking all the advanced algebra courses back before this year.

Believe it or not, she was the only person who ever hugged him, well, at least in that manner. He would be loathe to admit it to his associates, but it actually meant a lot to him. He wasn't married nor was he likely ever to be, and it was highly doubtful that he would ever have children of his own. Even if his sister despised the relationship, he saw little Hana as his own child, at least to an extent. She had lost her father fairly young, and though he wasn't really the parent type, he was going to fill in the role as best as he could. He smiled as she continued to ramble on, "I can tell you are excited. You don't need to thank me for coming, I would take any excuse I could get to come see you, so of course feel free to call upon me whenever you wish." For both of their safety, he hadn't been able to give her his actual private number; instead he had purchased an entirely separate account and phone just for her calls. He had even let her pick out the case and a phone charm. It wasn't his style per se, but it was important to him that she knew that phone was for her alone. "You can slow down on the questions, Hana, I'm not going anywhere today unless it is with you. We have...a decent amount of time to catch up."

"Do you need my help?" she had asked. He couldn't help but smirk and shake his head. "If you are that determined to work, I won't stop you, but that wasn't my design at all. Truly, my only goal for today was to get to spend time with you. Though, I am glad your studies have paid off, quite as I expected they would." As soon as she let him go, he helped her to her seat before going around the table to his. He slid the little box over to her, making sure it nudged her hand so that she would have no problems finding it.

He wasn't keen on admitting it, but he had been watching Hana long before they ever "met." He had been watching ever since her surgery to fix her sight back when she was a little kid. At the time, he had intended upon paying for the entirety of her surgery, but of course her mother had gotten in the way. Still, he was able to do his part, paying in advance for most of the surgery while leaving just a little bit left over for the Blacke's to deal with. Whether or not Elizabeth, his sister and Hana's mother, had ever found out what he had done was unknown to him, but it wasn't anything she could have reversed either way. Long story short, he knew the severity of her condition quite well as the doctors had given him the repost as well, and he had been observing her for almost a decade now.

Within the box was a video game, he genuinely knew nothing about games, but he did know about money, and any game that was making a huge profit before it was even released was something he needed to get for her. Currently, the release date was set for two weeks from now, but he had gotten his hands on a copy ahead of time. All it took was a little underhanded trading, nothing out of the ordinary for him.

"I can tell you are excited. You don't need to thank me for coming, I would take any excuse I could get to come see you, so of course feel free to call upon me whenever you wish."

"But I should! I just feel bad about calling you if it's not important. You're probably swamped with work. More important than some poor blind girl." Mokihana replied with a pout. While her dear uncle hadn't told her exactly what he did when it came time to make money, she had always assumed that he was high up in some company. Feeling the material of his jacket, everything felt so luxurious and novelty. Things that reeked of fortune and fame. Her fingers danced across the material of the jacket as they continued to embrace. Hana's hugs were long and contained just the amount of love and care that one would for a family member they had grown so close with.

"If you are that determined to work, I won't stop you, but that wasn't my design at all. Truly, my only goal for today was to get to spend time with you. Though, I am glad your studies have paid off, quite as I expected they would."

It was soon after that Hana let go and allowed him to sit across from her. She used the edge of the table and the booth seating to help guide herself back in and then soon comfort herself with hands resting on the table. Her troubled expression stayed though it was very clear that she was quite ready. "I know, and I'm sure we could do something together still. I just want to make sure that I can help somebody who- Oh?" Hana's left hand bumped into a shape of some kind when she was talking. The other hand worked alongside it to try and figure out what it was. The look on her face went from confusion to wonderment. The box was opened to reveal...Something that felt like a game of sorts. The feeling of the plastic, the hard edges of the case, that new game scent. She reached for her cell phone and opened the text to speech app. After aiming it at the case, the text played into her earbud. The man could almost taste the amount of shock and amazement that was on Hana's face afterwards.

"Oh my god!" Mokihana nearly yelled, letting out a sharp exhale and then looking at Jasper. "I've been waiting so long for this game! it doesn't come out for a couple more weeks? How did you even manage to get it, Uncle?" If she was able to, Mokihana would had smothered him all over again. Since her quirk wasn't turning intangible, she would have to settle for that bright and cheerful smile. Clearly she had a lot of things to do when she had free time again. Normally, Hana played mostly rhythm games as it was just about the only things she could actually be decent at. This one in question was a hybrid of music and RPG, something that would challenge her to be good at. Before she could flood Jasper's mind with nonsense, it would probably be a good idea to just finish her thought.

"Like I was saying, I just want to be strong and there for somebody like you, Uncle. I wanna push my powers to the absolute limit...But maybe a snack with the only family member that accepts me is fine too."

When it came to family ties, Mokihana didn't have the most popular of statuses. On her father's side of the family, she was viewed as the child of somebody who went against the customs of their people. While interacting with them certainly was possible, it was quite clear that she could sense the air of disrespect and almost contempt they had for her. The last time she went, Hana had almost let loose after hearing her father's mother say one too many bad things about her. It was one of few times her temper had flared. She could remember only bits and pieces of what occurred. A great anger in her mind, fists balled until the skin turned white. Sounds of plates crashing against walls, windows being smashed by debris, the screaming of the people inside who had been ready to eat their meal. After the fury had settle down, Hana had lost control and continued to feel things thrown into and out of portals. Sands, water, anything in the vicinity. She came back to consciousness an hour later in the hospital, drenched in water and bleeding from her arms, chest and head.

Her mother's side of the family was a bit better but it was her disability that caused the discomfort moreso than her origin. It just made her feel...not unwanted but almost like she was an outsider. Somebody who certainly didn't belong there. Jasper was probably the only real family member she had that had any kind of care to her, as sad as that sounded. As such, Hana cared for him in return and even did her best to try and help out despite her mother's wishes.

"As for my studies, they're as normal, or at least as normal for a borderline standard/AP student. But how are you? Any big plans or anything coming up? Maybe something you could use a hand on or at least keep me from reciting another line of psychology of villains again?"

So maybe not announcing that he was giving her a gift wasn't the best of ideas, but she had gotten the picture quickly enough. That and one of the things he had quickly learned about her was that she did not like to be coddled in the least. Affection and cuddling were fine, but she was determined to be her own woman, and interference was not appreciated. He bridged his hands and rested his chin upon them, watching in mild amusement as she unwrapped the gift. Of course, they had been talking long enough that he already knew how excited she was going to be, so he had no worries about whether or not he had done well. At the moment, he was sort of glad she couldn't see so well as he jumped slightly when he heard her nearly yell in his head a handful of seconds before she actually nearly yelled. That was sort of his curse: he jumped at loud noises before anyone else because he heard them before anyone else; it made him look a tad bit bizarre. "Daughter mine, you know the game was actually already made and ready to be shipped, they were just delaying to build up hype. And well, if it exists and you want, there is no such thing as too much trouble for me to acquire it." Honestly he had no idea what the game was even about, but he had heard her mention it, heard her state how much she was looking forward to playing it, and so it had to be his. Even better, he had bribed someone into giving it to him, so it wasn't like his source would turn him in and thus be implicated as well. He really did prefer the honey over the vinegar method, though sometimes the latter was needed as well. He didn't even realize how he addressed her. Maybe she wouldn't notice either.

Her next line was so noble, until she added in the part about "only family member that accepts me." He knew exactly how she felt, and the fact that she was willing to come out about it and work through it was absolutely amazing. She was doing a lot better than he ever had. He had never told her what it was like for him growing up, how he had been viewed as useless before his peculiarity showed up, and a curse afterwards. He didn't have friends growing up, and his entire family hated him. Well, except for Elizabeth. He was quite certain that she didn't like him and thought he was a nuisance, but she had been willing to work with him and didn't blame him for things he couldn't help. That was why he was so loyal to her: even if she hadn't been a great sister, at least she had acted like family when no one else would. No, he wasn't even going to begin thinking about it now. He had buried that past and sealed the casket once he became a villain. He had tried to prove them wrong by becoming a hero, but when they wouldn't accept his help either, he knew the only way to shine was by being a villain. He found a crew who would let him be himself and use his abilities effectively. None of them ever complained when he accidentally answered questions before they were asked, or had to break the conversation for a moment so that he could reset, or really any of the other drawbacks that came with it. They were more excited about the fact that he could save them at the last second and could bankroll operations for decades on end. They accepted him for who he was, they and Hana, of course.

This short break from the conversation was all that he needed to reset, so now he was only getting things a second ahead once more. "I don't know why you even bother with that class when you have a much more reliable source at your disposal. I could always schedule some one on one time with my...associates, you could do a psychological evaluation on them and learn more than any class could teach you." He didn't know why, but he was sort of avoiding some of her questions. Well, he knew why he was avoiding the one about anything she could help with. The truth was, there was a job that she could help with, but it was high stakes and not entirely safe. If she failed, a lot could be lost including lives, but worse, if something went wrong, she could be seriously injured if not killed. The likelihood of that was very slim, and more likely than not she would come over there, do the job perfectly, and maybe be a bit tired afterwards. Before the silence got too awkward, a server came up asking for their order. He quickly put in an order for an extra large coffee and to bring some honey with it, as well as an order of french toast with eggs and bacon. As alert as he seemed, this was ungodly early for him. He worked nights with the occasional lunch engagement, but never anything as early as ten in the morning. He was going to need the extra energy to make it through the day. And as for the breakfast, well, Miss Love had been getting after him about his food versus exercise quota. Apparently back when he was of lower status in the syndicate, he did a lot more active work, but now his gambling and schmoozing and general criminal actions were fairly low on a physical scale. As such, she commented that he was beginning to lose his edge, at least in that category. He was supposed to be doing healthier things, but he had no inclination to follow those orders, so any chance he got, he broke them.

"Come, I show you the end
You're damned
Cause no one can defy me
Just watch these maddened creatures
Like you they all once reached out
A war to win
But I'm gonna burn this vision down"

Mokihana smiled, not catching the moment that Jasper jumped up at her exclamation. She was much too excited to get back home and plop that bad boy into her game console. But not enough that it took away from the joy of having her uncle over. Her glasses slid down her nose and the young student readjusted them so that they wouldn't slide down and fall onto the ground. They were just about the only thing helping her see, and even then the difference was only slightly noticeable.

"Daughter mine, you know the game was actually already made and ready to be shipped, they were just delaying to build up hype. And well, if it exists and you want, there is no such thing as too much trouble for me to acquire it."

The first part hadn't slipped by Hana's ears. That slip, be it intentional or not, meant a lot to her. Jasper had been a father figure to her, even if her mother wasn't a big fan of him. The most she knew were all the small actions he had done since she was a child and that fateful day he saved her. On the topic of the game, it was a fact that Hana did know deep down, but what could she do about that if any? What would her mother think if she had been caught trying to steal an early copy of a game despite it being finished. Her fingers continued to trace the cover as Hana would make a face that sort of acknowledged his point. "Maybe. Thank you, Uncle. I wish I knew how to repay you some day." It was something that she had wanted to do ever since coming here. To repay all the kindness he had done for her. "One day, I'll find a way. Then we can start over again, I guess." Mokihana chuckled to herself. The topic would soon change to the class she had partially joked about.

"I don't know why you even bother with that class when you have a much more reliable source at your disposal. I could always schedule some one on one time with my...associates, you could do a psychological evaluation on them and learn more than any class could teach you."

"That would be interesting." Hana looked pretty interested at the idea of his. It would break a lot of the mundane assignments and things at the academy and then an essay about doing a psychological profile about a villain. Of course, it wasn't going to exactly be easy to just turn in something early and just assume they'll take it. "I may have to take you up on that." Mokihana grinned but would shuffle in her seat to lean a bit closer. The waitress came for their orders and Hana gave hers. A simple dish. Tea, eggs and pancakes. After she was off, Mokihana would continue.

"You never answered me on the topic of you needing help." she said. "I'm not afraid of helping out or anything, Uncle. You keep talking about how the academy limits me, but when I get a chance, you tell me that I'm not ready."

"Do you have a second to spare?"

Jasper ❦ Dean ❦ Frost
"Prophet"

Villain

She always made it sound so serious, this whole repaying him bit. Yes it was part of her nature, wanting to make sure that she wasn't taking from anyone, but what she failed to see was that she already gave back quite a lot. He was rich, he couldn't care less about receiving gifts, and he could buy a lot of other things that wouldn't fall into that category, but there were things he couldn't buy, and they were things that she gave him all of the time. Still, he knew where she had inherited her stubbornness, so there would be no option of convincing her she owed him nothing. He wasn't sure what this whole "start over again" thing meant, but he hoped she just meant make up for the rocky start her mother had forced upon them. What they had now quite well suited him, and he had no desire to see it altered.

He hadn't really expected her to take him up on interviewing villains, weren't they supposed to be scary and something to be avoided? Did she really feel that confident just because they worked with him? He knew that she knew he was a villain, her mother had made it quite clear that she was made aware, but he doubted either of them knew what his role or rank was within the organization. Of course he could make them all behave with her, but how did she know that?He would of course have to put in some safety precautions for them as well, such as not telling her the secret identities or where they could be found, further, she would have to use pseudonyms or initials in her report so that none of them could be readily identified. It might cause some problems for her, but that was the deal. That and the fact that she could not state how it was that she was able to interview these villains. Neither of them needed it known that she was related to a real life villain.

As soon as the waitress left, Hana asked what he knew she was going to ask. He sighed and leaned back in the booth, thinking carefully how he wanted to say what he was about to say. A moment later, he leaned in close to her so he could speak very quietly yet she could hear him. "You are not just some kid with useful abilities, you are my blood. And I don't waste blood needlessly. Many of the things I do are very dangerous. I have seen people die, on my side and amongst my enemies. Do you think you are ready to be shot at by someone who isn't even going to bother to learn your name? Are you ready to have to leave a dying ally behind because he's too far gone and saving him would burden everyone else too much? I don't mean to scare you, but that is my reality and I am loathe to introduce you to it." He wasn't entirely sure how she would react to that. On the one hand she was stubborn and seemed to have this desire to help and protect him, but on the other he had just made it very clear that she or someone on her team could die or be left to die, and that was much too heavy for a minor to deal with. Oh well, if she was going to find out more about him, maybe even become more like him, she needed to know at least a little more of what he did.

    ▐▐ ▐▐ ▐▐ ▐▐

Today wasn't exactly his favorite kind of weather for tea, but he wanted something to relax his nerves. Being in the city was still not far away enough from that school. Sure, he would like to go and roam the place freely and take every soul of any passing person; but that school housed a man that would and could kill him without any effort. Sure, he looked much different from when he was younger, when the two crossed paths, and he would only be recognized as a model. But if that man got a whiff of his power...he would know exactly who Vlad was. He would be toast. Yes, it was best to stay far away from the death trap for now. He was only here to find something he lost, so it wasn't like he intended to cause the man any issues. Though he couldn't guarantee that the Exiles wouldn't lead him there eventually. What was he going to do if the two came face-to-face once again. his skin crawled just thinking about it. He was wondering if that soul he took from the man was even worth it now. After all, it only gave him the ability to draw out the truth from people. What could he do with such a useless power when he was set to kill people, not ask questions?

His phone started to ring in his pocket, which led to him sighing as he set down his tea class. he fished the annoying device from his pocket, almost hoping to see that family head of red curls, but was disappointed to see the image of an idiot. Sighing heavily again, the man lifted the phone to his ear after answering it. ”Did you find him? He frowned as the man started spouting excuses. "I am not asking for a maybe. I want to know. My little birdie has fled the nest and took my golden egg with it. You better find him or else I will pay you a visit instead. I only took a risk to come here because you said he was seen here. You better not be wasting my time.” He hung up his phone before lifting the cup with his tea, the steam wafting up to his nose to permeate his senses with the succulent white leaf essence. How much longer was he going to put up with the wait? He was stuck with sub-par villains who were so weak, that they were taken over. At least that is the rumor. Perhaps along the way, he can find his missing birdie. Thinking about the curled red locks he used to pet, made the man perk up.That little traitor took a very sensitive piece of information when he left, and has been running from Vlad ever since. Sure, he planned to make the other learn their lesson for what they did. But there wasn’t anything a little humiliation couldn’t fix. He would take his little birdie back home and clip his wings. So he could never run away again. Oh how pleasant it would be to see that pet of his beg for his forgiveness for his lies and his betrayal. Apparently Vlad didn’t put him in his place enough

Sipping his tea, Vlad quietly fixed his tie and his vest. His appearance was neat in his suit, his hair was styled perfectly as usual. He had to keep up a clean and primed appearance all the time. He was a popular model who had a friendly face, but a nasty personality when he opened his mouth. At least, he never showed his manager that, or those he worked with in the modeling world. That was merely his guise. A ploy to pass the time as he waited to be given orders. Now, he was being told that he has to undergo a test of his skills. Considering that he taught his birdie to fight well, he didn’t have any issues on that front. He groomed that man. Well...he couldn’t call him that exactly. He did lie to him after all. To be honest, considering that Vlad has killed people, he can’t say he really cared that he lied about his age. Ahhh, but their aged difference was so big. Just another secret to add to his vault of secrets.

He hired this moron to find his birdie for him, but now he had doubts that he would even get the job done successfully. After all...this person was a slippery little b*****d.
