    (1.) Follow the rules of Gaia and the Terms of Service (ToS).

    (2.) Dust Limit: Dust is limited and has special rules for it. Please see Dust section for more details.

    (3.) Other Nations: Átlas has been defunct (i.e., we have lost all contact with them) for 5 years; Vaccuo has been defunct for 15 years; Mistral has been defunct for 30 years. Make your character backstory match this, feel free to ask crew for help.

    (4.) World History: You can assume all history prior to the starting of the RWBY series is still true, except where otherwise noted.

    (5.) Semblance Usage: Semblances are unique. Some are passives and some are actives. One thing is for sure though, they require lots of energy. At any time someone is allowed to message a crew if they think someone is overdoing it. The crew might pop in and say "Hey you're out of energy now." Or they may say, "You got X more uses then you are wiped." This is done to make things more cohesive.


    (6.) Combat Exception You do not have to fight using the level/combat system for PvP in some situations. Please refer to the combat rules section for more on this.

    (7.) Pathetic Punches: If you are a high level and engage in a fight and do not put up a good fight. A crew may and will step in and declare you a loser. The level combat system is the general system, but if people try and abuse it in any way we will step in make exceptions.Don't think you can just win with your pinky finger because you are a higher level.

    (8.) Slight Godmodding: There is nothing wrong with slight god-modding. Any experiences role-layer knows this You can dictate to a small extent the effects of others. Role-playing is about interaction and that can be complex. Go to a mod first before calling your opponent out. Let the crew make the decision and alert the other person. It avoids drama this way. Also if you are a higher level you can get away with a bit more than a lesser level. You are considered more skilled in your abilities after all. Don't overdo it though.

    (9.) Realism: We get it. Its an anime and things aren't really that realistic, but you got to keep things from being too absurd. No lifting more than 2 tons of weight for example. If you can lift this much weight you'll be hella slow and tanky. This applies to other physical feats as well.

    (10.) Ability Abuse: We approve some abilities that very well can be used in an OP fashion. We trust you to not abuse it though. If you do, we can nerf you at any time, and anywhere. We purposefully allow people to be a little OP sometimes. This is for flexibility. If you abuse it or use it in a way that doesn't help the role-play you can and will be nerfed.

    (11.) Content: Anything submitted to the guild will become the property of the guild. Obviously we do not own art you have made/had crafted for your character and things like that, but if you help create a location topic, or submit a system, or other written piece of work it is now ours.

    (12.) Time Limit: We are perfectly fine with you not completely filling in your Semblance, or even changing things before you get to it, however, they need to have been approved for one week before you unlock them. The changes take effect in new threads/interactions only; any threads you are already RPing will not have it change until the interaction ends/ day changes there.

    (13.) Character limit: Each person is allowed to make unlimited students, loners, villains, and villain students. For teachers of Beacon and Council members, please consult crew if it is possible to be one. These are roles that have a set capacity, so there may not be any availability at the time. If you already have a teacher or council member and want to make another, please be aware that we may give priority of the position to someone who does not have one of those roles at present. When one of these roles opens up, there will be a wait period before someone who already has a character in this role can apply. You may not make a huntress or huntsman until you have one student graduate. After that, you may make as many huntsmen and huntresses as our activity rules allow. Characters made before 1/12/2020 will be grandfathered in.

    (14.) How the crew deals with godmodding: Hello, if we find that you have broken one of the rules in your posts, we as crew have the right to Screenshot your post, and then delete it. While most times we will have you edit your post, this does happen occasionally. We call this rewinding the post. If we rewind a post, that means that it is not to be interacted with. If someone has already interacted with it, they have the ability to either delete their post or to edit it so they are no longer interacting with it.

    (15.) Hiatus: Do you need some time off? Everyone needs time off, whether it is for school, because of an injury, or another reason. We understand, however, if you are gone for an extended period of time, we as a crew have the right to remove you off of your team. The reason we do this is that we don't know what is going to happen in that amount of time. A random combat situation could come up, and your team would be missing a player, making them weaker. If you do not want to be removed from your team get the majority of your team to agree to keep you on while gone.

    (16.) Stealing-Remember theft is typically considering godmodding so make sure it makes sense (e.g., they left their gear bag by a tree and walked away), or that you have permission from the player who is being stolen from. Also, the moderator of an event or crew may give you permission for this as well. Added April 9th, 2019

    (17.) Post counts: We require you to have them in your posting format. If you do not have them in there, then we divide your guild post count by the number of characters you have. This means if you add more characters in the future, your other character's post counts and even level can decrease. If you decide to retire a character or kill them off, and you want the post count allotted to another character, you must fill out this form. If you do not fill out this form, they will still eat up your posts.Added May 4th, 2019

    (18.) Leave of Absence:
      - "Members who take an unannounced absence may only bring back 1 character per month. You have 2 weeks to announce an absence after your last post for it to count as an announced absence. After that, your absence will be considered unannounced. "
      - "Announced absences can bring back as many per month as they wish unless they've had an absence of a month within the last 4 months. In this case, they may only bring back 2 characters per month."
      - "Repeat offenders will not have their characters placed on teams until they can prove consistent activity. In this case, activity is defined as posting at least once a week for a month.
        (19.) Refusing medical aid: If a character were to refuse medical aid during a mission, the school has the right to delay/refuse any aid it would normally provide to the injured student. In example: if the student lost an arm, but refused treatment to try on site, they lose the privilege of the school providing them a replacement and covering the costs.
