Welcome to ℣ale.

╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════▨✥▨═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗

On the edge of ℣ale's agricultural district is a quaint little beach along the coast. Many people come here during the summer to relax and let their cares melt away. The sun is free, along with the waves. Be prepared to bring your sunscreen cause a day here will leave you scorched. Don't stay out too late and remember to pick up after yourselves. We keep our beaches clean and welcoming.

Activities:
Everytime you post feel free to roll a mysterious 1d100 (100 sided die). Let Narx know if you get a 100!

Boardwalk - With shops of all kinds (e.g., spa, tourist trinkets, food and drink, the best frog leg burritos in the world, and an arcade)
-Bonfire with rented instruments
Sand Castle Competition - [Can only roll once, highest number wins a prize]
Surf lessons - [10 or less, a shark appears, 11-25 Sting rays, 26-50 jelly fish; takes 5 posts to learn how to surf]
-Wake-boarding [90 or more, dolphins approach to make friends. Anything below 90 is a CRAB ATTACK!]
Fishing off the pier. - [Roll 1 die per post with 100 sides. If you get 100 you catch 'The Goldfin']
Volleyball You can roleplay this without any system, or you can use the below system for some extra competitiveness. If you use this system let Narx know! There may be a extra prize!

Size of Teams: 3v3 or 4v4.

Team chooses red side or black size. Doesn't really matter in end. Just for visual. First team on scene can choose.

Each player gets a designated number from 1-4. Pick however you like! You will be red four or black four depending on which side you pick!

User Image

Each time you post roll a 1d4 and a 1d10 die. The 1d4 decides which quadrant the ball goes to on your side or enemy side. Only the third hit on your side will send it over to the opponent's side. Otherwise it is on your side!

The first hit, the serve, sends the ball to the enemy side though. After that each 1d4 die roll will keep the ball on the same side, until the third hit where it comes back over.

Third hit. On the third hit, 1-2 = fail. Miss or trip, and enemy gets to serve.
3-8 the ball goes to opponents for their own rally. Hitting it 3 times till it goes over. And 9 and 10 = score a point!

we would say that three members of each team MUST hit the ball, and the third hit must be to send it over the net to try and score. Each hit must be a die roll, and there is no post order, just that the first person to reply hits. So if you have 4 people one person might not hit it each time its on your side. Just depends on how slow they are at posting.

Everytime you roll two dice, one says which quadrant the ball goes to , and the other die roll is a success die. 1d4 decides where the ball goes. And 1d10 for success. 1 and 2 are failures, 3-10 are success.

Once per game you can add 1/10th of you character's post count to the roll. Giving most people an automatic success.

So one team starts by serving it, and they roll 1d4: RESULT 4. So it goes to the 4th quadrant on enemy team.

You only hit it to your team for the first and second hit, the third hit is the one that sends over and this one had a 50% chance of failure. 1-5 = no point.

First team to 5 wins.

this would just be one event, and maybe this could be for the loners and normal people.
forces 8 peopel together
then again, its easier wih beacon igeuss ince they alreayd have teams of 4
3v3 works tho

Azura Knight

It was looking to be a beautiful day to spend on the beach. The sun was shining brightly and there were a few puffy white clouds in the sky, but a gentle breeze meant it wouldn't get too hot out. Azura walked with Ridley, Cecil and the newest member of team DARK, Adam, while carrying a large bag with her. Just like in the mines Azura was prepared with waterproof sunscreen, water bottles, extra towels and even some minor medical supplies. She was pretty excited when it was revealed Adam would be joining them, having been rather impressed with how he had dealt with Scylla, and in general performed on the mission. That he was just an all-around great guy who kept things positive. Cecil had been healed by the wonderful nurse Ziegler and both Ridley and Onyxia had recovered and returned to class. Things around Beacon were looking much brighter than they had two months ago. "So any votes on what we want to do first?" She asked the group while looking through her scroll. "There is volleyball, a fishing competition, surfing lessons, a sand castle competition or we could check out the boardwalk, or just hang out on the beach and go swimming." She said listing the activities. "It seems kind of early for a bonfire." Surfing sounded fun, but honestly, Azura wasn't too picky about what they ended up doing. She was just happy to have a free day.

Walking to beach instead of her usual clad of armor Onyxia, the woman of Darkness, was in a bikini and cloth wrapped around her waist. Surf board under one hand a rare smile was on the scar faced girl. Seeing a member of Dark she walked over. At a closer the gut scar was still there, but the toned abs had returned. Moving over to Azura she smiled, giving a nudge. "Hey there." Placing the tail of the board in the sand. Pulling her hair back into a ponytail, looking at the waves. "It looks like a good swell today." The thought of catching a wave making her smile grow bigger. "The waves look fun."

Adam walked onto the beach. Two months after all that happened this was a great change of pace. No studies, no bandits, no studies... no studies. He feet were welcome with fun sting from the sands warmth. He spread his toes to feel more of it as he laughed. Adam was a wearing a grey full body swimsuit that stopped below his ankles. He hair was tied back in a rubberband forming a dreadtail and his glasses were in their protective case. This was going to be his first 'mission' as the new member of Team DARK. He still wasn't quite sure where his name fit in. The already had an 'A' and considering his name was an alliteration it hurt his head to think about. He took in his surrounding and breathed in the salty fresh air coming off the sea water. The open blue sky and the sound of people enjoying themselves were practically overwhelming. But, his favorite sight was the ocean itself. The way the sun reflected of the water, he was in bliss. An infinite shine as far as his eyes could see. "I've never seen anything freakin' cool, cuz!" he exclaimed to himself. He was trying to hold in his excitement, but it wasn't working. He almost overloaded from excitement and happiness. As you may have guess, this was his first time ever on a beach. And his first time seeing the ocean.

He was practically shaking. Itching, to get into the water. He heard Azura asking some girl with a surfboard, Adam didn't know, what they should do. As she listing of activities he was making a mad dash towards the two with a devious smile. He whipped the bag of Azura quickly as he picked them both up, one in each arm, and shouted, "Swimming!" while he laughed. He picked up speed and jumped just before the water met his foot and submerged himself and the two young ladies with him. He kicked himself to the surface to the surface with the two in his arms and breached. He shouted, "Cold!" and laughed at the surprise. This was Adams first time swimming. Ever. But he took to it naturally. He kicked until the three reached a point where they could stand in the water and let them go. He floated on his back and looked up at the sky as he drifted and turned due to the over and undercurrent. "Yo, Azura. Who's the girl?" he asked tilting his head up to the black and red haired girl.

Likely having arrived with the rest of his team the first thing that would have stood out most about Jentel was the fact he wasn't wearing a swim suit of any kind. His hair was tied into a single long strand as oppose to its natural loose wavy appearance. When the message sent out said to bring proper attire for the beach Jentel only had one other outfit, indeed, he was dressed as a butler. The outfit he wore when he humbly served his master during beach trips. A sore thumb was an understatement. He simply stood on the beach uncertain what to do with himself. He was a quite the swimmer, and seeing the others swim about was tempting but he hadn't a suit or money to afford one. He could have tailored one but this trip was on such short notice. Perhaps he could take to the docks for fishing, hopefully he hadn't gotten that rusty yet. Yet, he didn't have his tackle box either. He'd have to use the inferior rented varieties of baits and lures. While this was supposed to be a relaxing trip Jentel couldn't help but starts picking things apart as to making this trip all but relaxing for himself.

                                                  ► Sing Me To Sleep

Just had to get a feel for her in a small introduction.
XXXBEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. Once again, the alarm would resonate through the room, begging for the master at hand to finally awaken. All morning, the alarms were gentle and welcoming; just something nice to poke whoever listened awake. Yet, it was this morning that the lady in question was choosing to ignore the alarms she had asked to be set; and so, it was time to kick it up a notch. The alarm continued to blare, getting ever so closer and louder as masked footsteps approached the slumbering girl. So loud and obnoxious, poor Maria couldn't bear play possum any longer. With soft rustling beneath the sheets, she would sign her variant of: 'Snooze.' And for just a moment, the alarm would cease. In it's place, a electronically enhanced voice static'd in response. "My dear Maria, this I cannot do. You have ignored each alarm to this point, I simply cannot allow you to put off your day any longer." And with that, the peak of annoyance returned as the obnoxious blaring continued. At long last, Maria's eyes shot open, and managed to just barely turn her head up towards her bedside companion as she motioned instead. 'Stop. Sit.'

She no longer had control of her morning; and with a silent sigh on her behalf, the mechanical companion would brace her back and gently lift her to a sitting position. "Now that's more like it, Maria. What would you like to do next?" To thus, the motions were signed. 'Plan. To which, what looked to be a resemblance of a face on the robot lit up with multiple colors, as if you express excitement to try and boost it's master's mood. "Right, of course! I received a message, via you're connected scroll, about an agenda planned by the academy itself. So, as a reinstated student, I believe we should attend this event to get familiar with your new class. What do you think?" 'What event?' "Ah! I finally get more than a single word from you; that's more like it. As for the event, I would like it to be a surprise. Now, let us please get ready." To Prism's AI, it tried to be exceptionally more peppy to try and boost Maria's own mood about the day. Though Maria's first reaction as simply to stare at Prism with what she could muster of a glare, before the corners of her mouth curled up into a soft smile before opening her mouth. "You.. Win.." For a brief moment, her smile became strained as she took a few soft breaths. Now Prism knew today was looking up, for it's master even spoke.

The process to actually get up and 'functional' was always time consuming, but down to a science. For the longest time, Maria herself always had to insert herself into Prism to help her with the morning tasks; but now Prism has become so adjusted to her needs, it was now effortless. For the first bit, Prism would carry Maria around itself, assisting her various necessities in the bathroom; showering and the sort. Everything was rigged with special equipment to help Maria relax, if Prism was to leave her for any moment of time. This time though, everything went smooth and Prism escorted her through each daily task. Cleaned, dried, relieved. Now came the time to get dressed. Maria herself was finally seated in her wheelchair, wrapped delicately as a burrito in her robe. 'Slacks and blouse? Looking up in vague curiosity, Prism's features flashed red for a moment before shaking in disagreement. "Actually, Maria. I have a personal suggestion." Stepping away for just a moment, Prism shortly returned with a medium box in hand, unveiling the contents within. "This was a late gift from your former caretakers for returning to Beacon; they recently contacted about me about your approximate measurements, which I provided. It arrived yesterday during our outing, and I only noticed after securing the perimeter for your rest. If I may." Maria's eyes actually began to sparkle in awe as Prism followed it's statement and unveiled the adorable white dress, sunhat and matching high knee socks and shoes. It was stunning, and she couldn't believe the effort her former care takers went for her.

Several minutes would pass as Prism took the steed once again to dress Maria appropriately, though packing away the shoes and socks due to .. Well, the potential necessity but current last of necessity. It would be packed away for emergency, along with various other beach necessities that Prism was keeping secret from it's master. A surprise never hurt anyone. Once Maria's hair was tended to, she would even adorn the floofy sunhat that the outfit was provided with. Maria's smile grew, barely able to contain herself despite her frail body and looked up towards Prism in excitement, while still pacing herself in signing. 'Picture? Please. To thank them.' And with a brief flash, Prism simply nodded as it started a second process of composing a message to the senders. 'Already taken care of, would you like to now get breakfast?' With Maria sinking back into her wheelchair, she shook her head and followed with another set of signs. 'Eat out, please. Recommendation?' With Maria's sign, Prism would help relocate her arms to rest against their respective arm rests before taking hold of the wheelchair handles. "Of course, Maria. We can get food at the event." With that, the two of them would be off. It was a slow start to a potentially outstanding day. Neither of the two had any idea what was in store, especially Maria.

Court yard this, journey that. Maria wasn't quite sure what happened, but found both herself and Prism at the astonishing beach front to a cascading azure sea. Maria was both.. Touched and hurt at the sight; for she hadn't been to a beach in nearly a decade. While it was beautiful, after Prism reviewed the activities with her, she came to a quick realisation that the thought of beach fun may have been more harm than good. After all, what could she even do? Within moments of arrival, she saw various others run off into whatever beach fun they could muster in groups she wasn't quite familiar with. And then there was her and Prism, at the edge of the sand. Even for a robot, it was not hard to tell the change of energy within it's master. After all, they were simply an extension of their master. "I deeply apologize, Maria. I thought the fresh sea breeze and unclouded sun would be a healthy outing. Is there anything I can do?" Honestly, Maria was uncertain of how to feel. Exclusion was something she was use to, because of her condition, but she did appreciate Prism's gesture. Eyes darting up to Prism, she'd begin to sign. 'You packed sunscreen? Please. You are resistant, I burn. Relax, it is beautiful.' A corner smile is all Maria could muster, but wanted to assure Prism that it's choices were well intended and appreciated. In acknowledgement, Prism would dig into the bag of wonders and pull out some hefty SPF 100. This day would not be the day that Maria would burn. Despite the bulkier size of her companion, the robot was capable of gentle enough touch to brush hair and apply sunscreen to this delicate flower it acted as a guardian over. Once covered and secure, Prism would take the mantle once again, but simply stand with it's master to watch the beachfront. The breeze was nice, and the view was amazing. Perhaps they would travel to the boardwalk in just a moment, as food was a necessity. For now though, a simple walk and rest along the beachfront was more than enough to leave the pair content. Though they should attempt to socialize, at some point. Their world was no longer just theirs.

Ivory would get down to the beach. It had been two months since he lost his hand, he looked down at the turquoise and black hand that was now his right hand. He had gotten some time to practice with it, but not enough to make a difference. He wanted to get better. He carried a bag on a stick his towel holding important things, like sun screen. He had brought the stick for a reason though. Though it was an event, it didn't mean that he didn't have to train.

He would look again at the hand. Jessica and Cherry had worked hard on his hand. Jessica with procuring it, and Cherry with paining it, and not painting it pink. The pains in his hand were there, it was very painful and mostly happened at night. He would run outside and scream when it happened. He hoped that he didn't keep his team up when he did it.

The warm sand would feel amazing on the beach. He would dig his toes in, before he would wait where he was for his team.

Ora hated this. She absolutely hated this. It was a social event where she couldn't be social. She had been avoiding telling people about herself, but there were things that were noticed. Like how she didn't read well or fast. She didn't have traditional education, she knew how to fight thanks to her brothers and sisters. Reading wasn't something that was very important.

Before long, she had to accept Lena's help in paying for her armor, however, she wasn't in that today. She was in a wet suit that she made sure that it covered her body. She wanted to feel the sand between her toes, however, on her feet, she was wearing water shoes. Thankfully, underneath she was wearing a bikini, she knew that if she was to find Narx, she would have to show her mark. She was ashamed of her scars, and she couldn't let anyone see her birthmark, except for Narx. Lena had seen it, and that was a Liability, however, she didn't want to harm the little one. She had been used, though not as much as Ora.

There were two reasons that she was here. She was there to see if she could find Narx in the crowd. The other was for their team to start to work together. She rolled her eyes, as she knew that the moment that she got Narx, she was leaving. Unless this was a long Con, then she would stay.

While the others were just arriving to the beach in swimsuits, Zed himself would just be carrying a fishing rod. Of course, he still has his swimsuit with what he was wearing underneath, but Zed wasn’t much for swimming. Mostly because he couldn’t swim himself. Being the shy kid in his village was pretty rough on him, but he just liked being at peace the most. He wondered where his other two friends were, as he waited for them. Something on your mind, sweetheart? Zed would say to Ora as she was the first to arrive. He waited for Zed and Lena who were right behind them both. Y’know, you could always let go of the suit and show off your bikini. Nobody’s gonna judge. Zed would joke to her.

Arriving at the beach the white haired woman waved to her sister and headed over to Faunus that they accepted as little brother. In a blue bikini top and red shorts Jessica gave Ivory a hug from behind. "Now now little brother, if you’re having phantom pains let me know." Moving beside him she'd given a hint that she knew what he was doing. In her bag was stuff to tan and items to build a sandcastle. They had a rocky start and since then they grew a little closer together. While she had slept the other night the idea to build a sandcastle together had come to mind, and Cherry would lead the team on this. "But it’s official in the sense that Onyxia agrees. You’re family to us."

The classroom slacker showed up in a bright yellow/orange bikini. She was stretching as she made her way to Zed and Ora. "Hey, Mr. Scared-to-change-in-front-of-women, if she wants a wet suit let her." She confided to Ora, even gravitated a little towards her fellow Faunus. Granted she didn’t know much about Ora, outside of the scars and her not wanting to share. She had even helped Ora a couple of times get dressed intime so others wouldn’t see. "Besides, my figure not enough for you?" Flipping the table on Zed she pretended to be upset, mostly to help him back off on getting Ora out of the wet suit. "I’m a ten, maybe a seven minimum." Giving a smile she turned back to Ora. "I got the snorkels you asked for." Giving a sly wink towards Ora.

It was a bright sunny day here at the beach. While most students would be excited for having the school hold a beach day, Momo was not one of them. The little mouse faunus would cling onto her towel and inner tube trying to keep herself covered. The swimsuit felt so revealing and being on the beach with all the people...it made her think others were eyeing her. She couldn't believe that Hizami convinced her to wear this...Not only that but that she even brought her to the ocean. THE OCEAN!? A giant and terrifying body of water. The little girl would stare out at the large body of water. Her knees started to tremble at the thought of drowning...being sent out to sea...or being eaten. "eeeeeee...." She would squeak at the terrible thoughts in her head. Squeezing her inner tube helped her cope a little. After all it would keep her a float at least...right?

Thanks to the healing from their school Nurse, Cecil not only had regained his mobility so he could go swimming if he'd like, but he had the ability to BREATHE. One step onto the hot sand did off-put him and caused him to subtly activate his semblance to keep his body temperature cold. Cecil was dressed in his swimming trunks.... with three bags of ice on his shoulders and head respectively. He walked along Azura and Ridley, with Adam in tow before he ran jumping into the waters first, causing a small chuckle to come from Cecil. "To be fair, I'm up for a bit of surfing.... but then the waters would be too cold for anyone else." He told Azura as he thought when she listed off the rest. "If we do the sand castle, I can't use my semblance otherwise we'll all be shaking from coldness." He told her as Onyxia approached them.

"You look like you're in good spirits Onyxia, and without the mask too." He told her and waved. He was without the cane, or weapon but with his semblance active, he was already giving out an aura of cold from his body. "How's the Mental Patient?" He asked her, referencing Scylla as he hadn't heard anything about the woman.

It had been two months since the bandits had attacked Beacon, leaving the school in ruins, students and teachers alike in mourning, and scaring and maiming the student body that remained. Since then everyone had since recovered from their injuries. Ridley had insisted that the nurse use the rest of her energy to fix up Cecil and had taken to healing up the old fashioned way, stitches, gauze, and the added bonus of her good old aura. It had taken time, but eventually classes had resumed and things had started to return to normal. Or as normal as they could be at a school for Hunters and Huntresses. She had been surprised to hear about the disbanding of Team Soda, leaning that Onyxia was going solo for a bit and Scylla was apparently off to do some solo work with a few other students. Good riddance, she had thought. It was safe to say that the fiery girl was still a bit bitter about everything that had happened back at the outskirts. Evening thinking of it now brought a familiar wave of irritation, a soft huff of air passing her lips.

Despite all the frustrations, there had been one pleasant thing that had come out of the rather awful situation. With the disbanding of his team, Adam had been transferred to Team Dark, their final member finally being filled and Ridley couldn't be happier with the pick. Adam had clicked with her team immediately and put up quite an impressive fight back in the mine. He was a good fit. Not to mention the guy probably knew more about her than any of the other students back at Beacon, including Cecil and Azura. Back ad the med tent that night, when he had asked to speak to her privately... well it had turned into a conversation she had never quite expected to have with anyone. Somehow she hadn't been able to stop herself, maybe it was that he had shared so much with her, maybe it was that she had carried it all alone for so long, or maybe it was simply that she felt comfortable around him. It was hard to say for sure. All she knew, is that even though she hadn't shared everything with him, it had felt good to get some of it off her chest. It relieved some of the pressure, lifted a wait, loosened the grip of the giant fist she often felt was squeezing her into oblivion.

After all the chaos of those nights, the faculty had decided the students needed a get away. A day for fun. Ridley had been ecstatic when the beach trip had been announced and as her toes squished between the warm sand, she let out a content sigh, closing her golden eyes and letting the sun beat down on her. The beach was beautiful, feel of laughter and joy. It brought back happy memories, but as they often did, those led to the more tragic ones. A bitter sweet smile touched her lips as she stared out at the cerulean waters. She had come her a few times as a young child. Before the death of her mother, the disintegration of her father's mind, and the death of her younger sister. Ayven had loved it here. She could almost visualize the young child, splashing about the waters while covered from head to toe in sand. It had been a happier time, a simpler time. For several moment she reveled in the memory, a far off look in her eyes.

It was Azura's voice that brought her back to the real world, asking the group what they wanted to do first. "My only commands for the day are to, one, have fun." She said, looking pointedly at Cecil before letting out a soft laugh. "And two, please don't drown." She teased, smirking at the lot of them. A few moments later Onyxia joined them, nudging at Azura. A wide grin spread on Ridley's lips as she greeted her. "Well, well, well... if it isn't the defiler of death in the flesh." She commented rather dramatically. Considering what she had been through, the girl was looking much better now. At Cecil's comment about the unnamed person who could only be Scylla, Ridley couldn't help the snickering that left her lips. "I knew there was a good reason I kept you around." She teased, nudging him gently int the side, his cold aura nipping at her elbow. She laughed again as Adam made a mad dash to the water, taking Azura and Onyxia with him.

"Remember, no drowning!" She called after them before collecting Azura's forgotten bag. The girl was always prepared. Laying out her towel and placing Azura's bag beside it, she proceeded to untie the sarong around her waist, draping it over her back and leaving herself in the black one piece, chosen because it hid the majority of the scars adorning her stomach. If one were to look closely enough, one might be able to make them out beneath the lacy material, but it disguised them well enough for her liking. What she was more worried about was the two, long, white lines that ran vertically up each of her wrists. There was really no hiding those, seeing as wearing gloves to the beach was the equivalent wearing jeans to a ball. Glancing over at Cecil after she had finished lying out their things, claiming their spot on the beach, she smirked at the guy. "Don't go melting on me, okay?"

Two months had past since the battle in the courtyard and the meal she had shared with her teammates afterwards. It had taken some time for things to settle afterwards. A lot of the students had suffered far greater injuries than she had and a few of them had still been mourning the loss of teammates fallen in the attacks. Zylah new she should probably feel more guilty than she did, especially considering she was about of the group that had caused the chaos, but guilt was an emotion she struggled with. Even more so when she didn't know any of the befallen.still, sometimes she felt a pang of... something... when she thought about it for too long, but she was never quite sure what exactly that p***k was. There were several emotions that had been poking at her recently. Ones that were unfamiliar and nearly impossible to pinpoint. She sensed the air of sadness that had haunted the halls for weeks though it didn't effect her the same way it did others. She was able to brush it off quite easily. It might seem harsh and unsympathetic, but that's what the girl had been doing her entire life. Brush the sadness away before it could consume her completely, drive her mad, drown her. It was a survival tactic. One she was good at. She had to be, she hadn't exactly been given a choice.

In her time at Beacon, Zylah had managed to keep her secret just that. As far as she could tell, no one would have thought twice about her secretly being aligned with the enemy. Not that she ever gave any signs. That and her nature was much to sweet and bubbly to draw much suspicion. At least the side that she showed her at Beacon. Zylah had a bad side, and it was quite vicious and abrasive, but she hadn't found a need for it yet. Which was odd. She was so used to having to defend her every move, her every word. She was used to constantly being on guard. Sometimes she felt like an entirely different person. Which was as strange as it was confusing. She wasn't always sure how to react or how to respond to such things however it never really showed, at least not for more than a fraction of a second. Zylah had a way of making everything she ever did look nothing but natural and effortless. The only time that ever broke was the occasions that her mind wander too far down dark allies. It was usually followed by long silences, the occasional frown or look of panic. However she always found away to brush them aside like they were nothing. She hadn't ever gotten to the point where almost herself the way she had in the courtyard that first day here, thankfully. That would have been much more difficult to explain or shrug away.

The petite girl had also grown to know her team better in the past little while. Charlotte was still mysterious as ever and Zylah tended to do her best not to push her boundaries too far, despite her own curiosity. She knew that she wouldn't want anyone digging to much into the private aspects of her own live and tried to give that same respect... to an extent. She watched and observed, trying to pick things up where she could. Like the fact that occasionally that faunus disappear to who knows where to do who knows what. Zylah teased her about it sometimes, giving her a little eyebrow wriggle and a knowing glance, but really she was just trying to make her laugh. That had become her biggest goal, seeing as Charlotte did it so seldomly. Despite Luina's bright and cheery nature, it seemed she also had some demons hidden in her past. One of which being the passing of her bother, which she had mentioned very vaguely st their lunch. Still, more than anyone else, it was usually Luina that brought about the conflicting feelings mire than anyone else. It was sometimes hard to knowingly betray someone who was so openly nice to her. One of the only people who had ever been so kind to her. Aaron seemed to be the only one without a deep dark secret in tow. He was nearly and bright and cheery as Zylah and Luina. Charlotte was the oddball there, but despite that fact they all assured the faunus they wanted her around. They needed a little mystery in the group, as Zylah occasionally teased.

Today was a much needed beach day. Not that Zylah had been through anything particularly hard recently... but she was always up for a care-free day in the sun. So she walked with her team in the sand with a bright smile upon her lips, her walk as always resembling something of a skip and a dance. She walked on for a few minutes before finally raising her free hand out in front of her, the other was carrying a large umbrella over her should. "I claim this land in the honor of our fair captain, Luina!" She exclaimed while rather dramatically stabbing the umbrella into the ground. After smirking over at the blue-haired girl and the rest of her team, she unfolded her towel and laid it neatly in the shade the umbrella was providing. Taking a step back, she placed her hands on her hips, looking rather proud with herself for finding such a prime location. "So team, what's on the itinerary for today?" From the looks of it there was everything from volleyball to surfing and just about anything you could think of in between.

It had been a couple months now she Dani had first arrived at Beacon. She had been lucky enough to have missed the attacks on the school. She hadn't been injured and she hadn't really known anyone who had been I hired, or worse. However, quiet and observant as she was, she witnessed the mourning that followed and the dim sorrow that filled the school even weeks after. Despite not having been directly affected by it, Dani couldn't help but feel bad. She was a gentle spirit and seeing the loss a d despair that surrounded some of the students and staff had taken its toll on her. The weight of it had started to settle around her, and she found that she was feeling sad too... though she was never exactly sure why. Maybe it was just that she knew that feeling of loss, the feeling of failure, and she was at times too empathetic for her own good. Classes had eventually resumed and they school had began to sink back into a natural flow of things, despite everything.

Dani couldn't say she was quite adjusted. Out of everyone she'd met so far, which being honest, really wasn't a big number, was Jentel. She was a bit relieved to have been placed on a team with him. She had taken to sticking close to his side whenever she could. Even if that meant quietly watching him play with his cards or other such things while she read a book. She didn't really mind the quiet. She had also tried to incorporate the things the mysterious man whom he called his master had told her to do. She hadn't heard from him again since that first day, but she hadn't really tried to contact him again either. What was she even supposed to say? Still, as he had asked, she let him do little things for her. Whether it be brushing her hair, carrying a book, opening a door. At times she felt guilty, like she was using him. She didn't much like the feeling, but she could see how happy it made him to be able to help her in those ways and that helped some. Dani also tried to help him and do things for him when she could, though she usually found herself unsure of what to do, and fumbled nervously about.

Ulysses was a bit intense, but Dani didn't mind her. She actually appreciated the girl, despite her tendency to get rather nervous and possibly just slightly intimidated around the armored huntress-in-training. Dani had been sure to pull her aside and thank her for defending her against Feng that day in the cafeteria, and for every time she had done it since then. She also admired Ulysses, for being strong, assertive, and all the things she could never be. It was a different story with Feng, their tiny captain. She was a little terror, often picking on Dani for her timidness, her weakness, all of it. There were plenty of nicknames that Dani would much rather pretend didn't exist. The jellyfish faunus did her best to avoid Feng and when she couldn't she did her best to not acknowledge the harsh words directed at her. It was usually followed by silence and blushing on Dani's end, occasionally paired with a small nod or a failed attempt at speach. It was clear that Dani was very intimidated by Feng, possibly even a little fear feel, and always uncomfortable. Despite the way their Captain made her feel, Dani didn't have it in her to hate the girl. She couldn't even muster up a bit of dislike. Besides, she could spot the few signs of what made Feng the way she is, and when she did and put the pieces together, it usually just ended up making Dani feel bad for her. So she tolerated it, like a silent punching bag, but the bearings were slowly starting to eat away at her.

With everything going on, the beach day was welcomed by Dani. More than that really. Having grown up on an island and being an aquatic faunus, she longed and craved for the sea. It had been so long since she had been to the beach. It would have been before the raid on the island, before her parents passing. Seeing the vast blue waters before her, she couldn't help but thing of them. It was bitter-sweet, a sad smile on her lips. However, she cleared the thought away with a shake of her head that cause her pink waves to tumble about her waist. As she ventured out onto the sand, her violet eyes lit up. There was a look of almost child-like excitement on her face, ready to bubble over. It was possibly the most emotion she had openly shown since being at Beacon... well, other than embarrassment. Walking near Jentel, she glanced at him ever now and then. She had noticed he wasn't wearing a swimming suit and based on what she had learned from his past she had the suspicion that he did not own one. She had been thinking about offering to buy him one... but was worried the offer might sound odd. Still, she wasn't rich but she had a bit of spare change lying around and she w as noted Jentel to have the opportunity to enjoy himself just as much as everyone else. "What would you like to do while we're here?" She asked softly, trying to be more subtle about it. Still even as she addressed him, her eyes kept darting back towards the waves, clearly wanting nothing more but to dive in.
