Down the row of games you find one of the staple favorites at ever carnival. The always fun and somehow challenging Gold Fish Toss! There is a small table set up inside a square booth filled with various sized bowls full of inviting water. There are a few ping pong balls littered around on the table and buckets of them on the booth as you walk up. There is a small sign telling you that each ticket gets you three balls in which you have the chance to win yourself a new fishy friend! There are plenty of other players gathered around the table and others waiting for just the right moment to make their throws. In the center of the table is a large tank with a few sparkling Koi watching over the players. Any time you get a ball into one of the bowls you win a goldfish! Collect three goldfish and you can uppgrade your little friends for a Koi! These bigger fish need a lot more care but they are super pretty and everyone seems to want one. Rules:★ Roll 3 d10. Every time you get a 10 you get a goldfish! ★ Dice can be rolled once every 4 hours ★ If you win please post in This Thread for a raffle ticket! ★ Yes you can save the goldfish image for your journal! Please save to your own server though. PrizesSchool Civi 1 and School Civi 2

Grinning in absolute contentment, Nimue had bought her game ticket and waited patiently until it was her turn to try for a fish. She wasn't entirely sure that winning a fish (or ten) was a good idea, but the finny little dudes were cute and well, it would be nice to have some form of company in her new apartment. Especially since Niamh was so often out working. Besides, she was certain that her cousin would enjoy having such a low maintenance pet around.
Ah! It was her turn. Stepping forward, the lanky girl swept lime-dyed bangs from her face and tossed each little ball in quick succession. The first two had come close, but apparently she was going to be living proof of the whole third time proverb. Letting out a shrill squee, she collected her new fishie friend and then decided that she'd just hang out at this booth for a while. Maybe later she'd try her hand at winning a fish again.

Sabrina was so excited! since today was the day of the fair. It was one of her favorite times of the year. Everyone got to hang out together and have loads of fun.
She was so excited as she rolled around the fair and then she saw her first game adventure! Goldfish toss! she didn't quite want to toss a goldfish, but still it looked fun! As she walked up she realized it was just a fishbowl with some balls you had to toss into the water.
Simple enough she thought as she stepped up to line. She handed the man her ticket to play. Then she grabbed three white balls and tossed them all! She watched eagerly as they bounced around. They all kept bouncing and bouncing. Until sadly they didn't land in the winners spots. That was okay though cause she was having fun and she had so many tickets she could always just try again.

Nathaniel's apartment did not allow for pets - at least of the dog or cat variety, which was a bit of a heartbreak, if he was being entirely honest. But a fish, he thought, would go nicely with his plants, and really, fish were fine as pets. You couldn't hug them or hold them, but they did look pretty and these ones, at least, were somewhat low maintenance.
So he tried, because why not.

Fish!? Oh no, Vivi wanted them terribly, but couldn't quite trust Abigail not to touch them. (and she would, shed literally dip her hand into their water to feel the scales) Nevertheless, she was pretty caught up in the fun of a fair so she tried anyway.

Kaileen wasn't totally happy about spending the whole day with her brother and his girlfriend for the week. She wanted to try the goldfish game but his girlfriend was being a pain. She was one of the animal freaks.
As they got closer to the game she started to go crazy.
"This is animal cruelty."
Kaileen had no time for this. She took the pingpong and tried to line up her throw. She threw it and watched as it flew into one of the bowls.

Nadia was the first to get to the goldfish toss and she looked at the rules and grabbed a few balls and tossed them towards the bowls. She came up short.

"Hiya!" Evren yelled on her turn as she threw the ping pong balls. Only to give a sigh of defeat when none of them entered in any fish bowls. Puckering her lips as it seems she wasn't freeing any fish this round.

Clementine had a minute or two of serious contemplation before getting in line for the Goldfish Toss - she didn't really want any fish, and she figured she'd read something about glass bowls being terrible for fish somewhere - but, eh, it was the spirit of competition. If the goldfish wanted to be in her presence so badly that she managed some successful throws (or the koi, if she had ungodly good aim today), she'd... probably just hand them back? She didn't want fish, she didn't need fish, and this was the thrill of the chase or something - the real accomplishment was landing the tosses at all, not doing something stupid like killing your fish. Or eating a live fish. If anyone ate a live fish where Clem could see them, she thought she'd probably hurl; seafood was gross already, and that had the advantage of being already dead, unlike whatever poor fish was being devoured in the hypotheticals.
... She'd been at the front of the line for ten seconds already during her zoning-out. Another apology to the guy manning the booth at the moment, very important, and tossed with the utmost precision her fourteen-year-old hands could muster.
One goldfish did hardly a satisfying accomplishment make, but the look on the man's face when she waved it off apologetically and babbled something incomprehensible about fishscale allergies would have been pretty amusing to anyone else. Now it was time for her to get some deep-fried food and ignore her parents sighing about the levels of unsavory that sort of food entailed. And after that: after that, well. Back to the ducks to start the loop again.

Fish! A game well-known in Dione's family. Man, she hadn't gotten to play this in years... Not since she lived in Georgia. It made her a bit wistful, for a moment. No sister or cousins to play with. Oh well.
In their honor, she tore a ticket off of the bunch she bought for the carnival. She took up some ping pong balls. Di tossed a couple of times, doing better each throw but still missed. She gave it one last, loose go. The ball dropped into the water. Di's eyebrows went up. Oh. Guess she won!
As the bag came her way, she had to deal with the fact that she was, in fact, going to take a fish home. Hadn't really thought of that... Oh well. A new friend for Tabby to ignore.

Nimue hurried up as soon as it was her turn again. And though she didn't get lucky this time, she'd gotten close.
Welp! That just meant she'd have to try again later!

TICKETS: $1!Alphonse stood patiently in line at the ticket booth that stood in the bright sunlight under a hand-made painted sign advertising the small, periforated paper tickets. He was quite pleased that the tickets were not too expensive. Even on his college prep-school budget he could buy himself a few tickets to spend at the fair. It was going to a good cause, after all. But what would he spend them on? The boy wasn’t all that good at games despite his adopted parents running a game shop and all. Goldfish. Alphonse stopped short and peered into the tank that had been set up under a special booth just for it. Were these really prizes? They were indeed! He had just found the perfect place to spend his colorful little tickets. He wondered if it would be like at the festivals in Japan. There goldfish and koi games were popular. It usually involved ‘catching’ one with a paper paddle. The paddles were cheap and the paper was thin so it was a gamble. It didn’t look like that here though. It looks like he would need to toss one of three small, round plastic balls into the glass goldfish bowls set up behind the booth’s counter. Could he do it? Let’s go! One... Two... Three times the charm!✪

Marta figured the fish tank at her house could use some more fish. Why not? How could you go wrong with a goldfish?
Unfortunately, she didn't manage to score the fish this time. SO close on the first one though! So frustrating.
