xxxBACKSTORYxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx EARLY CHILDHOOD [October 22nd 2012: Born] Alarick was born in Godric’s Hollow to Mr. and Mrs. Lorien.
[2019: The Neighbor Girl] There was a girl who lived next door, she was old. Not super old, only a few years older than Alarick. For some reason though, his parents thought she was old enough to babysit him. The girl kept talking on a can and string, and yelling out the window. He didn’t care for that very much, but at least he didn’t have to go to the boring meeting with his parents. (He would eventually find out this girl’s name was Delia Chance, and she wasn’t the one babysitting, it was their other neighbor Martin.)
[2019: Congrats, he’s not a squib] Alarick was sad that Martin was sad. Martin was stuck at home while everyone else went to Hogwarts. Alarick enjoyed spending time with just Martin though, Martin was cool. Alarick started to watch Martin play games. He was impressed by the dedication and skill set Martin had. One day though, Martin was playing a particularly detailed game, and Alarick wanted it bigger, it made him angry that the screen was so small. After a bout of accidental magic, the tv Grew larger, but proceeded to let out a puff of smoke. Alarick was startled, Martin was startled, and after explaining to the adults, they realized it must have been Alarick and accidental magic. The adults were incapable of fixing the TV, and had to get a new one (magic + electronics = no good)
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEAR ~ 2024 - 2025
Alarick was thrilled to go to Hogwarts, he would see more people than he did when he was stuck in Godric’s Hollow. He could finally make new friends that were his age, none of those older kids. Unfortunately, some of those older kids also went to Hogwarts. And even worse, he was stuck in the same house as them. He would have no free time from his annoying older neighbors. He spent a lot of his time goofing off, and failed the first half of his first year. Delia had a stern talking to him, something about how he would never get away from her if he didn’t study, that was a huge motivator to study harder, and avoid Delia telling his parents about how poorly he had done.
SECOND YEAR ~ 2025 - 2026
Alarick joined the school quidditch team, what else was he going to do in his free time? He however, spent every game in the reserves, something with how he couldn’t play unless his grades were as good as his quidditch skills? They let him keep coming to practice, and every game had him sit out. It was maddening - what was the point of being on a team if he never got to play?
THIRD YEAR ~ 2026 - 2027
Alarick had picked out his electives, he questioned why he had taken Arithmancy, he hated numbers. Frankly, he wasn’t that great at runes either. He tried hard, but even after studying he barely passed the year.
He decided to stop playing quidditch after the previous year, it was boring then, but it sure was probably going to be more boring now. He also was super tired of Elysia always giving him talks about quidditch strategy and the universe, why were his neighbors so weird? Instead, he began exploring underneath the quidditch stands while the games were going - it was rather fun to see how oblivious people were.
FOURTH YEAR~ 2027 - 2028
Alarick was failing his electives and History of Magic. He had done pretty well in his other main classes, but school was such a bother. His head of house pulled him into a meeting, and made him promise to do better. As part of his promise to take classes more seriously, Alarick had decided to attend a number of office hours each week. It was in those office hours that he first met Kadence Knapp. Ravenclaw. She had the most noticeable blond hair, and brown eyes. If love at first sight was a thing, Alarick didn’t feel it at that moment. He kept running into the girl as he was studying, and the girl kept being a know-it all, as if she was trying to impress him. He just thought she was the most annoying kid possible. Was this what Della thought of him hanging around?
During his many hours spent one-on-one with the professors, he found he was genuinely interested in the subjects and started studying just for the sake of learning more. Alarick found that while he never cared for history before, he was fascinated by the stories in History of Magic, and learned as much as he could there.
FIFTH YEAR ~ 2028 - 2029
He acknowledged Kadence Knapp for the first time. Sure, he had just said “Get out of my way you nerd,” but that was the starting point of it all. Her reply came to him in a voice that was squeaky, it was like nails on a chalkboard to his ears. She stopped him by grabbing his hand and asking, “Go on a date with me?” He couldn’t believe it, this little 12 year old was asking him out? Why were kids so weird? He laughed her off, telling her they couldn’t go on a date, she wasn’t allowed at Hogsmeade, try again next year. She continued to follow him around, giggling when he caught her watching him.
However, Alarick began blocking her out. It was time to study, he had OWLs to pass (and he did pass. Most of them.)
SIXTH YEAR ~ 2029 - 2030
Given his excellence in Transfiguration, Alarick took Animagus Studies in his Sixth year, but kept messing up his potion with all else he had to work on. He laughed when he received a note on the first day of the year, Kadence Knapp asking him out on a date during the first Hogsmeade weekend. He smiled and looked over to her, not surprised to find her eyes staring back at him. He nodded and she clapped, turning back to her classmates. They went on their first date soon after, and another after that, and before they knew it they spent more time together than apart. Alarick had fallen in love with the girl he had found small and annoying.
SEVENTH YEAR~ 2030 - 2031
During his Seventh year, he studied harder than ever before. He needed to get good grades so he could have a great job, so he could take care of his future family. He heard a radio speech by Alan Stephenson (NPC), a member of the International Confederation of Wizards, on the potential of magic to eliminate poverty and facilitate world peace. It was the second time he fell in love–this time with a cause. He began to study harder with more dedication, he would pass to become something great in the ministry.
However, he still had his first love - Kadence. They were closer than ever. They had only been dating for a year now, but there weren’t many couples their age that were as close as they were. Alarick loved Kadence, and was glad to be with her and do anything for her. A lot of people said their relationship was foolish, but Alarick didn’t care.
On another note, Alarick had a bookshelf fall on him and Kadence this year, ingraining a life long dislike of bookshelves.
On a second note, Alarick had many worries leading up to his NEWTs. Kadence was pregnant. They had assumed she was just stressed over her exams, a normal enough reason to get sick. However, after a trip to the hospital wing, assumingly for a stomach bug or stress, she was told she was pregnant. They hadn’t been with anyone else. He had knocked up his fourth year girlfriend. They hadn’t even known each other for three years!
POST-GRADUATION [June 2031: Newly Graduated] Alarick was invited (strongly told) to stay at the Knapp residence in Hampshire County, to properly get to know the Knapp family, and be able to be around to help with Kadence. It was a nightmare. The parents had so many ideas about how they would raise the baby, who hadn’t even been born yet. Aldrick was getting antsy about the whole thing, he needed to go out, see the world, do something useful. He wanted to be successful for Kadence, for their child. After talking with Kadence, it was decided, they would move after she was done with school, and he was settled in his job.
With Kadence’s support, Alarick put himself through a very grueling first few months with the Department of International Magical Cooperation (DoIMC), and finally was appointed as an assistant of Alan Stephenson himself. He was super pumped to meet his hero, and found himself even more inspired by Stephenson’s vision for the future of the wizarding world.
As a junior staff member, Alarick spent a lot of time scheduling travels, studying to learn more about Charms and Wizarding/Muggle Laws for the betterment of muggle and wizarding quality of life. While Alan Stephenson was the one doing the policy making and other researchers and artificers were making that happen, Alarick’s job was being able to communicate the spells and theories, how they were done, how they could improve lives, and what this meant for international wizarding policy.
[January 4, 2032: Your first child] Alarick was in love. He loved his job, his girlfriend, but this baby, it was part made of him and was just wow. They named the child Aldrick, leaving a bunch of middle names, some weird tradition that Kadence wanted for all of their kids. Kids. plural. She wanted to have more with him, in the future, after she graduated. While Kadence was at school, the Knapp grandparents gladly took care of their little grand baby, while Alarick was at work. He came home every night, tired, but happy to see his newborn son.
[February 14th, 2034: Congrats, It’s a girl!] Alarick had made another mistake. Kadence, a month before returning to Hogwarts for her Seventh year, was ill. After a hospital visit, they realized she was pregnant. Her parents were furious. His parents were furious. Kadence was furious. She went through most of her seventh year being pregnant and eventually, on Valentines day, having Brook. Alarick was sorry about Kadence missing out on studying time for the ever important exams, but this little girl– He thought Aldrick was the heart clencher, but no that came from Brook. He knew right away, this little girl would have him wrapped around her fingers.
[Summer 2034: You Planned this!] Alarick had just gotten to the Knapp house, only being a few minutes later than usual. There was something weird going on, and he was pretty sure a trip out of the country was coming soon, one he would obviously not go on. He was looking forward to seeing his children and girlfriend, maybe getting some time away from the office. However, the second he walked into the house, it was too quiet. He went to the kid’s bedroom and they weren’t there. He came back out, to find Kadence standing in the living room, glaring at him. She began yelling at him about how this was his fault, she was a failure because he had planned for them to have kids around the crucial moments of her exams. She had failed almost all of her classes, and didn’t know what she was going to be able to do for her life. Thus - proceeded a fight. The fight ended with Alarick exclaiming he was over it, and thus he began coming home later and later, leaving earlier and earlier, avoiding seeing his girlfriend, her parents, and unfortunately, his children.
[September 12, 2034: This is enough] Kadence threatened to have Alarick lose all parental rights to their children. He wouldn’t, couldn’t, do that. He loved his children and how Aldrick made his little sister giggle. They meant the world to him. The two began to talk out their disagreements, and began going to counseling. Which did wonders, Alarick did still avoid the house most days, but he was sure to always set aside one day a week to be a better father and boyfriend to his children and Kadence.
[March 5th, 2037: Mr. and Mrs. Lorien Pass away] [March 28th, 2037: Congrats, they’re twins!] Mrs. Lorien passed away after a months-long fight with a magical disease, and a few months later, Mr. Lorien died of heartbreak. While crushed, Alarick had more to distract himself from his grief: Kadence was very pregnant, and Alarick himself was busy with work, trying to impress the Department. He barely had time to see Brook and Aldrick, but he believed his girlfriend was doing a great job at raising their kids. They took over his childhood home in Godrick’s Hollow, after it had been left to him following his parents death. He had a beautiful girl, a beautiful house, wonderful children, and a job that paid well. All he needed in life now, was to make this beautiful woman his wife.
[April 8th, 2037 - Engagement] Shortly after the birth of their twin sons, they moved into his parents house at Godric’s Hollow. When he carried her over the threshold, he put her down and got on one knee, and asked her to marry him. She laughed and said of course. After their engagement, they began not going to counseling anymore, they didn’t need it if they were going to marry, clearly their overall issue before was their lack of a permanent commitment.

The two would get married in July of 2041, leaving a long engagement for Kadence to plan her dream wedding.
[Sometime in 2039: It’s not exactly a promotion] In 2039, Alan Stephenson was appointed Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards, and as his Chief of Staff, Alarick’s workload also increased. Additionally, while Alarick wasn’t always the one writing late-breaking Charms reports, he had a duty to mentor the younger staff members and had grown attached to his contacts. His dedication to his work meant that each report that crossed the desk of Alan Stephenson or any report that was sent out to the International Confederation was always top quality. Personally keeping up with this Charms theory certainly wasn’t expected of him, but Alarick knew he was capable and knew it would help, so he continued to keep up with it.
[April 1st, 2042: MOAR TWINS]
[January 3rd, 2043: Guess you’re going to stay around] Alarick had been working for over a decade with the Department of International Magical Cooperation, as an employee. While he didn’t have any official decision making power, his concise and thorough research, clear and persuasive reports, and friendly and reliable demeanor had earned him a position of respect throughout the Department and indeed the international wizarding law community. When Alarick expressed interest in a spot as a delegate of the British seats opened up, Alarick was unanimously decided as the best possible candidate for the role.
[February 19th, 2046: Another Boy?] [May 2nd, 2048: Another Girl?]
[September 21st, 2049] While he was working, filing away a report, he received an urgent floo from his wife. That was strange, Kadence never contacted him while he was at work, they had their weekly firechats, but they had just talked last night. That was when the worst news was given to him, their house had partially caught on fire, and Deepak was gone. One of their beautiful children, he had barely gotten to know Deepak. A parent should not have to bury their child, but that’s what happened as they said good-bye to Deepak too soon. Alarick threw himself deeper into his work, he would make the world a better place for his kids.
[March 20th, 2054– Supreme Mugwump????] With Alan Stephenson out on extended leave due to a series of personal tragedies, (he may or may not have died; no one could confirm it, not even Alarick) Alarick was recommended as his replacement. While there were some voices that protested the Supreme Mugwump being another British seat, the Minister of Magic seemed content to put Alarick on the seat. Alarick was thrilled, he was in a position of power and he would be able to use that for the better of society. He began missing his weekly chats with Kadence, he missed grandchildren being born, he fully dedicated himself to his work giving 120% of his time to the department. There were always things to be done, things that needed to happen!
[June 2054: Please no more kids after these two]
[April 17th, 2055: We need a career change] Kadence demanded counseling. Again. She felt ignored, said the kids were ignored, and mentioned something about a Winchester coming to visit to ask for custody of Flick?
They began doing counseling again, and Alarick was forced to look back on the past few decades. He looked at pictures of his grandchildren. His children. He had seen them grow up, mostly through pictures. His youngest were almost a year old now. He had almost completely lost his precious Flick, who was already being raised in a home that was not with their blood family, because Kadence couldn’t handle who Flick wanted to be. Alarick knew Flick was in a better place mentally, if they were with the Winchesters. Alarick made sure that he gave the Winchesters funds to help care for his little Flick, but it wasn’t the same as showing someone you cared for them. He didn’t want to lose all of his kids, like he had lost little Deepak so many years ago.
It was time for a career change, he had taken on a lot at his work in the Ministry; he had gone from a mere employee, to a member, and to Supreme Mugwump in a short amount of time. Not many could say they had accomplished so much. He had made friendships, not made any mortal enemies, and had some good relations with people he hadn’t before.
He had heard there were some positions open at Hogwarts, and he decided that Charms would be a good option, he had of course kept up with his charm work while doing work (It wasn’t like he just sat and manually read and wrote everything!) He applied for the position, upper level charms, and went in. He would be able to spend time with his kids who were Hogwarts age, and be able to see his wife and other children more often than he did now.
He was sad to leave his commitment of making the world better through the ministry, but maybe he would be able to do good in the world by teaching the upcoming generations.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Aldrick is the oldest of his siblings, growing up he always had a younger sibling, having three by time he turned 11. He was friendly to them, and taught them whatever he knew, mostly his sister who was only a few years younger than he was. Sometimes though, he would get jealous and become mean towards them, bullying them into doing what he wanted. As he grew up however, he just started to not care.
Coming from a wizarding family, Aldrick knew that he was a wizard even before he began showing magic. Once he did, he was thrilled. He could finally follow in his family's footsteps, and he would be the first one there and wouldn't have to live up to their expectations. Also, he'd be setting the standards for the family that would follow in the upcoming years. He was thrillwed, and couldn't wait for that day for Hogwarts to start. When he received his letter, he immediately begged his parents to go to get school supplies, and since then, he was trying to read all the books he could about his favorite subject, history of magic.
SCHOOL YEARS
FIRST YEAR
Aldrick was sorted into Gryffindor, befriended Lizzie and kind of August. He did his work, and survived. Had a decent partner in potions, who did nothing. which was ideal to Aldrick.
SECOND YEAR
Aldrick attended classes, and joined the art club. Where he and Lizzie decided he would color Lizzie's hair whenever Aldrick was bored, a plan that did not go as expected. Other than surviving classes, not much else happened. He survived a second year of Hogwarts, maybe next year would be more eventful.
THIRD YEAR
The electives year. Also the year his kid sister and her friends started, he knew he'd have to keep an eye on them, but it seemed that Lizzie had taken over that roll nicely. At least the little ones had found a good person to follow around and ask their questions to. Lizzie was something else, and Aldrick was starting to realize that. Of course, it was also nice to be able to occasionally help the little ones out with their classes. The only struggle was finding the time to do so, with the electives he had to keep up with August in order to maintain his status as the brightest there was in their year. He would continue to improve his studies, and surpass August, because that was now Aldrick's one goal in life.
FOURTH YEAR
Nothing too exciting happened this year, except that Aldrick learned sign language, asked out a cute deaf girl, Jessalyn, and somehow was promoted to the Leader of the Art club for the following year. Good things were happening in Aldrick's life, and he was excited to see what else happened. Of course, there were the note great things, such as that kiss with Lizzie, who was overly dramatic about the whole incident, what was up with that?
FIFTH YEAR
Aldrick's OWL year started out great, and by great he started it out by breaking up with a wonderful girl, Jessalyn. He just, couldn't be the one for her. Maybe one day but as he was right now, no she deserved someone better. He went through the rest of the year trying to better himself, and that included studying to better his grades. He had to beat August at his studies. Of course, August did better than Aldrick did, but Aldrick was pretty proud of what he had done for his grades. He had a revelation, that maybe cursebreaking would be a good career for him, he had accidentally taken all the OWLs for it, and done decently at those, why not have a career changes? All in all, a good year, but not nearly as exhausting as the following two years would be.
SIXTH YEAR
This was the year that Aldrick would finally get his girl. Through many attempts to ask her out, turns out the best way was straight to her face, Lizzie was his best friend, and now girlfriend. He continued on with his art captaincy, and watched as his brothers grew into being the little wizards they were. Nothing too exciting happened, but it was only sixth year.
SEVENTH YEAR
Aldrick got Lizzie pregnant. His brother died. He was engaged. The world really had a way of flipping upside down. Yet somehow, he survived. He passed his NEWTs, he made it through (and didn't get killed by Lizzie.
POST GRADUATION
The First Portion (2050 - 2055)
Aldrick became a father to two beautiful boys, twins (Liam and Lark, September 2050). He started his career of curse breaking, doing a lot of sketching work for the places they went, and sometimes putting himself in danger, It would all be fine though, he would be successful for the kids. However, as time went on, he would marry the love of his life, Lizzie (August, 2052) and they would have a third (Peggy, March 2053) and fourth (Nina, Summer 2054).
He spent more and more time away from home, and Lizzie had more responsibilities with her work. He felt he spent more time at work than he did with his kids, and he hated it. He knew he had to change his career path, and that was when he saw a positioning for the Cursebreaking Professor position. He had wanted to be a teacher when he was growing up, and now...he could teach and put what his career had been post-graduating.

EARLY CHILDHOOD Cenek and Chadwick Knapp were born the third and fourth children of Alrick and Kadence. They grew up with magic around them, their parents casting charms to keep the house clean, their oldest brother practicing when he was out of school (without a wand of course). When they started showing signs of accidental magic, it was chaos for their mother. They were known to Break random objects (Chadwick) and then repair them (Cenek) before their mom could figure out what that crash was.
As they grew older, Chadwick and Cenek began showing signs of being different (gasp twins can be different?!). Chadwick was outgoing, brave, and not very nice. He seemed very similar to how his older brother, Aldrick, had been as a child. Meanwhile, Cenek was reserved, kind of fearful, and very polite. Chadwick was the twin that shined and took the glory (as much as young children can that is). Cenek let himself stay in the shadows, and would clean up any issues that Chadwick would cause. If Chadwick broke something, Cenek would clean it and take the blame. If Chadwick pushed another kid and hurt them, Cenek would pick them up and help them clean up (and if someone mixed them up in the process and thought Cenek was the one who pushed them, well, let it be). Unless you knew which twin was which, one would think that Cenek was the rough, crude with a bad attitude twin, and Chadwick was the one that would be kind to anyone.
When Brook left to go to Hogwarts, Cenek knew he would get in more trouble. Brook was kind to them all and so were her friends. He tried to take less of the blame from Chadwick’s issues, but everyone still assumed it was him. He started to learn how to bake, so maybe when Brook was back from Hogwarts the girls would let him stay with them, because they all enjoyed food. Of course, that meant Chadwick had to come behind him and learn how to cook too, trying to be better at everything that Cenek was, it was exhausting.
When they were 7 Cenek and Chadwick met Sparrow while attending a party with their parents. Afterwards, they saw her frequently while spending time with their grandparents. Chadwick was cruel to the girl, and treated her like a yoyo. If she was there and Chadwick was bored, he would do something cruel to her. But, she was crushing hard on Chadwick, and Cenek knew. She was Cenek’s best friend. Just like everything else, when Chadwick upset her, Cenek was there to help her cheer up. The fact that she was his best friend, and Chadwick’s whatever, didn’t help people not mix them up. She was with one of the two of them a lot, but at least she could tell the difference between the two. She wasn’t friends with both of them because she thought they were the same person, she had different relationships with both of them and could tell them apart. At least in that, Cenek could appreciate, he wasn’t just Chadwick’s other half to her.
When the twins received their Hogwarts letters, Cenek was thrilled, he knew he was going to get one, but being able to get out of the house and away from Chadwick, maybe even make a name for just himself apart from Chadwick. Of course, Chadwick wouldn’t have Cenek being excited for anything. He laughed at Cenek’s enthusiasm, and told him he would never succeed in anything, not even in Hogwarts. Cenek would prove otherwise, he would become somebody, and with that determination... HOGWARTS
SCHOOL YEARS ■ FIRST YEAR Cenek was thrilled. He had been sorted with Brook, and Sparrow wasn't sorted with Chadwick. Of course, he wasn't so happy when classes started and Chadwick of course tried to act like he was Cenek, and kept getting Cenek detentions. He hadn't even done anything wrong! When Cenek tried to tell on Chadwick, Chadwick tried to make him lose his letter, but thankfully Finley, a Ravenclaw friendly, came to save the day and to help Cenek out. At least Finley seemed to be bale to see through Chadwick, and Cenek appreciated that little bit of friendship from the boy. ■ SECOND YEAR His brother died, that was really tragic. Yet somehow, time kept moving on. Chadwick and Sparrow kept dating and breaking up, it was all so monotonous. ■ THIRD YEAR Cenek was done. Chadwick was too cruel to Sparrow, Chadwick claimed he was protecting her, but he was hurting her if anything. But what did it matter, Cenek didn't know anything. ■ FOURTH YEAR Cenek had achieved something not even his sister could do, he was the Quidditch vice captain. He hadn't even started in a game yet, but he had been successful in something. He worked hard in his classes and in quidditch, he would show everyone that he could do this thing, he would be better than Chadwick.

It was great to watch. Cenek started to bake, and Chadwick couldn’t let his twin be better than him. He would purposely sabotage the food Cenek would make, and Cenek couldn’t figure out why it was dreadful. Chdawick would go behind him and fix the same dish, and it was much better. Chadwick wins again. Then, Chadwick would make something, that wasn’t as good as Cenek’s would have been, but because of the sabotage, it was much better. Once again, Chadwick took the greatness of something away from Cenek.
When they were 7 Chadwick and Cenek met Sparrow while attending a party with their parents. Afterwards, they saw her frequently while spending time with their grandparents. One of Chadwick’s only friends, if you would call her that, was Sparrow. The girl who was always hanging around him when they were together. Clinging onto his every word. The girl had a crush on him, and he knew that. He used that to his advantage. Chadwick would intentionally ignore her at times, play with the other children, until one day he would just come back to her. She would do whatever he wanted, he figured it was because she didn’t want to lose him. She was just a dumb girl, expendable. She always came back to him, and on the case that she wasn’t, Cenek would help ease her pain, and Chadwick would swoop right back into her life.
When the twins received their Hogwarts letters, Chadwick laughed at Cenek’s excitement. Why would leaving this household save Cenek from dealing with Chadwick. Chadwick wasn’t going to let Cenek succeed in anything, and Chadwick would be better than Cenek. Cenek had one weak spot, and Chadwick would gladly use it: Sparrow.With that motivation, and his brother and girl going to Hogwarts with him, Chadwick knew it was going ot be a great time at Hogwarts, for him at least.
SCHOOL YEARS
■ FIRST YEAR How could that hat put Chadwick so far away from his Winchparrow? Never mind that, at least Chadwick was able to become a beater with the Slytherin Quidditch team. He was even able to play in the games, and hit one of the Ravenclaw girls. He often got Cenek in trouble, and occasionally himself, but it was all fine. Sparrow loved him, teachers loved him. There was one problem: Finley. The brat saw through who Chadwick was and who Cenek was. Next year, Chadwick would have to do something about that. ■ SECOND YEAR Dominik was gone. Sure there were other things that happened during his second year, but this was a life changer. He went from bullying Finley to trying to be just a bit nicer. HE still wasn't that kind to Cenek or Sparrow, but they had known him his entire life, they expected it. He worked on building a friendship, and on trying to mend his broken family. ■ THIRD YEAR Chadwick worked on his grades, his school work being a monotonous project. He was in dueling and music club, if only to watch over little Sparrow. He was protective of her, and just wished she could see that. ■ FOURTH YEAR Winchparrow and him were over. How did one end a relationship that had lasted half their lives? She mourned. He mourned. She grew up and looked happier, he watched her go. It was his fault, he deserved her breakup. Somehow, despite that, he was given the leadership of dueling club, he hoped he would do well with the role.

xxxBACKSTORYxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx EARLY CHILDHOOD Dominik is the 6th child born of the Knapp family. She is the younger twin to Deepak, her brother. Her earliest memory was tumbling with Rhea, at the age of 2, or was it 3? Either way, it was important to Dominik to remember, because SHE had done the tumble first, Deepak couldn’t handle it. That was a lot of their childhood, learning gymnastics with Rhea. Dominik adored their neighbor, but Rhea left every year when Brook and Aldrick did, so that wasn’t much time spent with her. As she aged, she realized this was because of school, or so they said, she had never actually been able to confirm that they all went to Hogwarts for most of the year, no one could give physical proof that they were there. When she began learning, it was through her mom homeschooling them, spending all day with her brothers was terrible. Why couldn’t Brook stay home with them always? At least then she wasn’t the only girl. All in all, Dominik waited for the day that her and Deepak could join their siblings in a Hogwarts adventure.
Dominik was alone. Her brother was stolen away by an angel, or as her parents liked to say Deepak was dead. Her older siblings were at school. All she was was dumb Erikk, and baby flick. Of course, as she got a few years older, Flick wasn't so bad. Flick wasn't sure if Flick was a girl or boy or both, and Dominik nodded, she could help. Dominik wanted to protect Flick, so at least one sibling would be safe, no other sibling would be taken away if Dominik could help it.
When Dominik got her school letter she was pleased, she hadn’t shown much magic, but Brook had always said that was fine. Dominik would go to Hogwarts and would learn magic, she would find a spell that would help her find her brother, because until she cast a spell that lead her to his dead body, she wouldn’t believe he was gone, no he couldn’t be.

Her entire memory she had known of this mysterious 7th sibling, and heard Dominik speaking of him, but never did she see him. Flick’s earlier memory was Mama pulling Flick to the side and telling her that Deepak, the mysterious 7th child, was gone and was never coming back, no matter how many times Dominik said so.
[Fall 2051] Mama Knapp said Flick was a girl, made her dress up in clothes that were pink all the time. Sometimes though Flick didn’t like that. Flick knew the difference between boys and girls, how they acted, what they liked, who they were. And sometimes, Flick felt like she was actually a boy. Flick was confused about this, why was it that in the first years of her life, everyone said she was a girl, but sometimes Flick just felt more like one of her brothers? Flick nodded to herself, yes Flick was a boy. He ran over to his Mama and pulled her shirt. When he told his mom that he was a boy, not a girl, mama got very mad and upset with him. She sent Flick to their room, and wouldn’t give him any dinner. Flick cried, what had he done wrong? He was a boy, and the boys got dinner too, it wasn’t just girls who got dinner. The next day, Flick put on a skirt and did up her hair, yes today she was a girl, that’s what she was. Mama seemed happier about this, not as angry. However, days later, Flick knew he was a boy again, just like he knew if something was hot or cold, if his eyes were open or closed. Yet again, when he went to tell him mom, this time with Dominik in the room, his mom flipped out, and sent Flick to his room.
Dominik followed shortly after and hugged Flick, Dominik was nice. Dominik said she would protect Flick, no matter if Flick was her brother or her sister, and for Flick to just be themself. Flick liked this, and after that day Flick no longer told their mom about if they were a girl or a boy. They whispered it to Dominik whenever they felt different, and Dominik smiled and continued on with her life.
[Summer 2052] Dominik was trying to hide the fact that Flick felt like a girl sometimes or like a boy sometimes. Dominik didn’t actually care about Flick, Dominik just had plans on hiding Flick. This, amde Flick angry. He wanted to be able to say what he wanted. He said mean things to Dominik, Dominik took it. But, that guy that Chadwick had over, that guy was nice. Once that guy left Chadwick sat down with Flick and asked if he was transgender. Flick was confused, as Chadwick explained. When Flick said no silly, sometimes I’m a girl. Chadwick hugged Flick, and with a reassuring hug said “that my brother is called gender fluid, and that’s okay too.” Maybe… not everyone was against Flick’s world.
[Summer 2053] Flick wasn't sure what happened, but suddenly Chadwick wasn't at home very much. He got in a fight with Mama, and she made him leave. Flick kept waiting for him to come back but he didn't. Mama didn't like Flick very much and kept forcing them into dresses - even when Flick didn't feel like wearing dresses.
One day - Flick ran away while they were at their grandparents house. They ran and never came back. Thankfully, the Winchesters found Flick. They found Daddy - who seemed to make an arrangement for Flick to live with the Winchesters.
[December 2054] It was supposed to be a party. A Party with cake. Somehow it turned into an earthquake, fire, destruction. Flick didn't understand what was happening, everything happened so quickly. Suddenly they were outside with Robin. Flick didn't say anything - they were in shock. Flick was dragged around by Robin - yes this was good. Robin would keep Flick safe, Robin was all knowing. They found an older boy, who helped get them over to the Sidddall estate, yes - Uncle Nim would be able to help them. Flick didn't realize it - but there were tears falling down their face. Why was everything that was so nice destroyed?
The hodgepodge family moved in with Uncle Nim.
[2055] They moved backk to the Winchester Estate - Wren fixed it and Flick had their own room again - but Flick hated staying alone and took any chance they could to spend the night in Robin's room, or if Robin was in School, they'd sleep with Aella, or Sparrow - if Sparrow wasn't too sad.
In September though - Flick went to see Uncle Finley and Roxie but met a new friend Jules. The three of them were going to be BEST friends - Flick just knew it.
[2056] Big Sis Sparrow left for a while, after Uncle Wren went into her room and then yelled something about going to the Hospital. Flick was sad that Sparrow wasn't around again - it was sad while Sparrow was in school, but now that Sparrow was free from school Flick had hoped to spend more time with her, but maybe Flick just made Sparrow sad too, maybe Sparrow would disown Flick like her mama had.
[2058] Ambrose was adopted - Flick had a new friend. Ambrose was smaller than Flick - but only by 3 years. Flick swore to be a good influence for Ambrose.
[2059] Flick received their Hogwarts letter - and it was addressed to Flick Knapp. Flick frowned - no they didn't like that at all.
Flick went to Wren and Nim and handed them the letter - proclaiming not wanting to see their Dad, Aldrick, Erikk, AND Dominik every day, desperately wanting to go anywhere else. Hogwarts was the best though. Roxie and Juliette would be at Hogwarts. After the "Yes you're going to go to Hogwarts" discussion - which was actually very fair - Flick left, and came back a few minutes later.

When Zack asked about his dad, he was told that his dad went on a business trip traveling the world and was injured in an accident and didn’t make it home. Zack accepted that story - why would his mom lie.
[insert 3 kids being born] Zack didn’t like when his mom had sleepovers. She was always loud. Too many times she ended up with another baby in her belly - zack wasn’t an only child anymore. He loved his siblings, but it would be great to get some time with just him and his mom.
[2053: Fires are fine] Zack might have accidentally set his bedroom on fire - he hadn’t meant to, but somehow it just..happened. The family had to move, him and his siblings. Unfortunately, when they moved Mom found a new friend. They lived together for a while, but then eventually it happened again, mom had another kid. (And Zack did not stop playing with fire)
[Summer 2056: Hogwarts] Zack was not surprised when he received his Hogwarts letter. He was rather excited, his mom had told him all sorts of stories about her time at Hogwarts, plus he had cousins there, and an uncle! He hadn’t seen any family besides his siblings and his mom, his Mom said it was because she had a falling out with her family. He wasn’t sure why they wouldn’t get along - but he was excited to meet his family - he was sure they’d be thrilled to have another relative like he was!

Why did they let Zack be in charge of things?! Did he just radiate responsibility? Not only did he get prefect, but he was vice captain of quidditch and ran several clubs. What kind of nonsensical thing was this?

The year of the exodus. That is to say, the summer prior he accidentally caught a church on fire, might have killed a kid, and had a fight with his mother - who proceeded to send him away to live with Alarick. That is, after they told Alarick for real that Zack was his biological kid.
The Knapp clan all went to America - and he had to attend the Salem Institute. He didn’t do well - he was an okay student at Hogwarts but here? Everything was just so different and weird. Not only that, but they were wrapping up their final year and in the end Zack kind of passed but not really?

When Alarick and Kadence decided to take a break from each other, Zack was thrilled to go back to the UK, to Hogwarts. He would be able to finish up his seventh year, maybe he would need some tutoring but he would be able to get his NEWTs.
POST-GRADUATION Zack somehow joined the pro quidditch league, joining the Wimbourne Wasps in England. He was excited to sting like a bee....or a wasp.

It doesn’t mean his mind can’t be changed-- on the contrary, he’ll easily change his mind if his twin or parents give him cause to, but once changed, he follows his new decision without waffling back and forth. Lark always wants to be doing something, whatever he’s decided.
SPONTANEOUSLark’s curiosity is easily piqued, and once hooked, he likes to go do something about it, whatever that is. While playing games or reading superhero comics is usually a good guess, no one really knows what Lark is thinking up next. Lark is here to save the world, one cause at a time, although what cause isn’t always clear until he has the posters ready.
NOBLELark and his twin brother, Liam, have a strong innate sense and interest in justice and what is right and good. If he does something wrong, he’ll turn himself in to his Mum and accept whatever punishment he’s given. And if Liam is in trouble, Lark will take the punishment with him– they’re a team after all! Liam and Lark were a surprise–albeit a welcome one–to Aldrick Knapp and Elizabeth Spektor, new grads and sweethearts. They built a home on the old Spektor property outside of Sterling, Scotland. Their parents were married when the twins were 2, and 2 more siblings followed soon after–and Mum promised a 5th sometime!
As children Liam and Lark– or as Lark deemed their duo “Llamark” enjoyed playing superheroes with their parents’ friends’ children, many of whom were younger. If just hanging around at home though, Llamark can often be found making a mess or making a racket–err, painting posters or playing instruments.

xxx⍟PERSONALITY🛡xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx EASYGOING Just. A chill vibes dude. For the most part, Yak is pretty relaxed and casual, and takes things as they come. He’s frequently dramatic for amusement and entertainment, but serious when he needs to be. Yak is open and tolerant of people and perspectives and ways of doing things, and adapts pretty well to whatever happens. The world is a big place, yo. There’s room for everyone. Just roll with the waves and keep swimming.
RESPONSIBLE Yak doesn’t shy from responsibility or the limelight, but he doesn’t search for it either–unless it’s a chance to play for an audience. He follows orders or examples well– ever since Zack started at Hogwarts, Yak has tried to follow Zack’s example and be available to his siblings as The Older Brother and the Man of the House. As the squib of the family he’s home with Mum most often and considers it only natural he take on most of the housework compared to his siblings.
COMMITTEDYak has seen his mum with many folks over the years, and he knows his own father was just one of the names. People are flakey, and relationships fail. But because of this he also knows what commitment really looks like– He knows his mum will always be there for them, and he knows he always has his siblings. Especially after his siblings started going to Hogwarts, he’s recognized that they might not be there physically, but Yak can always be there emotionally via letter or call, and he’ll always be responsive. When he says he’s going to do something, he means it. Despite his cavalier attitude, Yak is a man of his word.
INSTINCTIVEYak is the more deceptively decisive of the twins. Deceptively decisive, because if he can’t decide, he’ll just roll a dice. He struggles with deep moral and emotional things, but at the end of the day, Yak can make a snap decision and live with it. He’s a good listener and empathetic ear, quick to understand what someone wants in a situation and communicating his and Yarrick’s plan. He struggles more with emotional things, wanting always to do the best for everyone. After all, Yak and Yarrick are the Dream Team– it’s not as simple as Yarrick’s the brains and Yak’s the face, but it also isn’t so complicated as to get worked up about. Whatever it is, they can handle it together.
IDEALISTIC Despite his cynicism at being a squib, Yak wants to believe in love and beauty and all these ideals of karmic justice. He’s a romantic at heart, and sees the world as a battle of ideals as much as it is a battle of messy human flaws. As closed off and down as he might get, Yak wants to believe, and he’d rather believe in goodness and get hurt than just assume people will be evil.

The twins have always had some kind of psychic understanding—it’s why no one ever questioned their magical natures. Other than his mother, Yak looked up to Zack and listened to him. (Plus Zack was fun!)
When Yak was 6, Zack set fire to his room and the family had to move. Yak was a bit disappointed because he had been enjoying first grade, but since everyone was safe, it wasn’t worth getting upset about. One of the moving days, Yak started tap ping along on boxes while they were moving and it made little Xenobiologick and Wolfrik laugh. Yarrick blew into a cardboard tube, Yak kept going, and by the time their mum got back, the kids were having a whole concert out of makeshift equipment. While Yak and Yarrick loved music anyways, this was the start of makeshift concerts on the weekend and the twins’ dream of making it big as a band.
Not receiving his Hogwarts letter was a devastating blow. While initially the twins simply assumed there had been an owl mishap, they realized the truth of the matter as the summer grew on.
