The redhead's thoughts were instead filled with something he'd read somewhere about the most lovely sunsets characterized by chemicals and pollution tainting the atmosphere. The bittersweetness of it reminded him of a song he'd heard his father read to him from a book, once. His father, that man - Todd Burnett - who was no longer around and would never sing or read to him again.
In his stead and on a whim, Sinope tried to recall the melody that had accompanied the lyrics. He gathered his components and wove them into music with the loom of his own voice as he gazed across the vibrantly-colored sky.
"When I was a young man and very well thought of,
I couldn't ask aught that the ladies denied.
I nibbled their hearts like a handful of raisins
And I never spoke love but I knew that I lied."
His voice was a bit hoarse from disuse, so he cleared it and continued, heedless of his surroundings.
"But I said to myself, 'Ah, they none of them know
The secret I shelter and savor and save:
I wait for the one who will see through my seeming
And I'll know when I love by the way I behave.'"

Maybe he shouldn't come to Rhona's home while powered up, the possibility of leading anyone here a problem, but he did want to see if she was in the area and powered up. She might not mind joining him tonight. He didn't want to be alone tonight and Jason and Nischal were busy, he wanted to let them have their own personal time. He knew if he asked either, or both, of the others to join him they'd drop whatever they were doing and come out with him....it wasn't fair. He was a guest and he wanted to act as such.
It was when he was closer, really close, that he picked up on an aura...another dark mirror senshi - it wasn't Acubens. This one wasn't the eternal...they were a super. He knew Rhona let others live with her so perhaps it was one of her other little ones? Another child, of sorts, like he was?
Picking up his pace his slippered feet brought him to her roof top quickly and landing he took a moment to look the other over. He'd seen them, plenty of times, and he'd spoken to them though mostly in passing and normally in group settings. They weren't someone he knew much about. Maybe it was time to fix things?
"Do you want some company?" Not wanting to startle the other he didn't approach, or touch, them and he kept his voice low. He just had to hope they noticed, or heard, him so he didn't need to startle them.
"That is a nice song..."

The moment Sinope heard Kiuchi's voice, his countenance contorted with inexplicable rage. Logically, he knew he had no right to be angry. He had been sitting out in the open where anyone could have heard him, so why was he so furious with his fellow Dark Mirror Senshi?
But emotions were not logical and he couldn't help feeling what he felt no matter how he tried to override it with reason. All logic was washed away in the tide of pain and anguish that overtook him. What right did you have to hear that song? The truth of the matter was that Sinope felt Kiuchi had caught him in a moment of weakness and his pride would not allow that innocent act to go unpunished. Let's see how you like others knowing a deep, dark secret of yours.
A quiet murmur left his lips. "Sly Insinuation."
When he whirled around, the redhead appeared calm enough at first, skilled as he had become in schooling his expression to reveal what he liked. Meeting the black-haired young man's gaze, he winked and snickered.
"If it isn't Kiuchi!" Sinope remarked, his tone mockingly merry as he regarded the other senshi and crossed his arms over his chest. Well, he was noticed for sure. What he didn't expect was the red haired senshi to turn around and use their magic on him. He had no reason to expect it to happen; given that they were from the same court. It seemed that for some reason his own court member had decided to attack him though, with what sort of magic he didn't know though. All he could do was brace for whatever was going to happen, he would not retaliate - he refused to.
The others magic soon however had taken hold, though he didn't really realize it, it was too slow in acting and it was a mental game....and Kiuchi was one who was prone to second guessing himself and fretting over peoples thoughts of him and other such things. So thinking someone might know something about him, things he didn't want others to know, wasn't something which hadn't happened before.
But the idea of Sinope knowing how he'd bounced about from home to home, even living in a motel for a short while, and knowing how he'd been sort of kicked out after the sort of argument...that wasn't something he liked others knowing. He kept that close and only let a few people know. Not knowing how the other would know, and fretting the other would surely tell other people, the dark mirror senshi of Gorgon's found himself toying with his uniform as the nervous habit kicked in.
"I-I don't know about that...b-but ummm it's been a long time Sinope....h-how are you? Try and play it cool - right? Maybe the other didn't really know...but he was somehow sure he did. But how...how he didn't know. Someone would have had to tell him - right? But who...who would have told the other...or had Sinope somehow found out on his own? But how and why? How would he have found out about all the bouncing about that he'd done and the Calleb issue and how he had been at fault...or at least that he'd thought he was....The other surely thought he was guilty and he doubted he could convince Sinope otherwise...s**t.

Kiuchi's attempt to maintain a civil conversation with Sinope threw him off guard at first, but the redhead spotted the other super's anxious fidgeting with his garments and regained a degree of his composure.
"Oh, you remember my name?" He tilted his head, fixing the Senshi of Gorgons with a smirk. "I'm impressed! But I doubt you actually care about how I am, so why bother asking?"
Walking right up to the older sailor scout, he spoke with a confident air, "Here's something I'm actually interested in learning the answer to, though - " Sinope's black, gloved hand reached up to grab the taller male's green scarf and high black collar together, tugging them down to bring Kiuchi's face closer to his own. "Did you have a happy Valentine's Day?"

Of course he remembered the others name! He may have only seen him a few times and not for long each time, things had been rather hectic each of those times, but he wouldn't forget one of his own court members - they were important to him! He had, and would always, think of his court as his family...especially now.
"I do care..." He had to correct the other, because he did care. But it didn't seem like it mattered...did it ever matter when he tried to talk to people? To reason with them and explain things? Did the truth matter....that he did care about people when he told them he did? He felt like choking on his words, as a sob threatened to spill from his lips as his eyes became moist.
It was when the other got close and grabbed him, pulling him down harshly, that he choked on a gasp of surprise. Dark eyes wide as the other spoke...a fear confirmed, as far as he was concerned, the other knew what had happened. Sinope knew he'd messed up...that he'd hurt Caleb...that he was a bad person....the other knew it all - he was sure of it. Sinope was taunting him...waiting to see if he'd admit to it - if he'd be honest and admit it aloud.
"N-no...but you know that - don't you?" He questioned, already sure of the other knowing this.The other no doubt knew his Valentine's had gone terrible...worse than terrible really. It was just one more failure, though decidedly bigger than most, in a long line of failures which he'd dealt with >This one was just the worst and it was his fault...and Sinope knew it all...all of it. The tears gathered and wet the dark lashes which framed his onyx like eyes. Slowly they fell, one by one, creating a thin stream down his cheeks to his chin where they gathered and dripped as little drops...down to the ground.
