Bio: This was his retribution, his punishment for his greed to become more powerful. But Azrael will get his revenge on those demons, even if it means succumbing further into the dark.
Azrael was born into a big family, the second oldest among seven children. His parents were warriors, important pieces in the war against the demons, so he and his older sister were the ones who stood in their place to care for their younger siblings. Even if they couldn’t see their parents often, Azrael found it as a blessing when they come home safe and sound, even if it’s just for a few hours before they are drafted back into the battle.
It was a rare occasion, when their parents announced that they had a few days off. The situation on the battlefield was tense, but the angels were able to push the demons back. This allowed them a few days to recover and relax. The family saw this as an opportunity, knowing that it would be a miracle for this to happen again. They headed to the outskirts of the kingdom, spending the whole day amongst each other.
It was supposed to be a day filled with laughter. It was supposed to be a day they would cherish. But destiny had a twisted way of writing an ending for this day.
They were enough from the kingdom that no one would see what was happening. An ambush by demons who caught two angel warriors off guard. It’s funny to him now, looking back. Those demons were brave enough to attack angels when they were still in the territory of the kingdom. They painted the scenery with pain and misery, showing no mercy as they slaughtered them one by one. The screams of his siblings were ingrained in his brain as he stood there, frozen in fear. If it weren’t for his father pushing him and his oldest sister away, they would have been part of that bloodbath as well. Even though he was gravely injured, he still smiled at them.
After that, all Azrael could see was red. He trained hard to become a strong warrior, participating in every battle in the place of his parents. He showed even less mercy than those demons that ruined his life, a ruthless, vicious war machine. But it wasn’t enough. He needed to become stronger. So he dabbled in the power of the demons, wanting to overpower those monsters with the same abilities they used.
Nothing remained hidden from his comrades, however. He was banished from the kingdom of angels, falling to the land of the Humans as his once pure white wings were replaced, the wispy feathers leaving a trail of white from the heavens to down below. Pain shot through him as inky black feathers rose from the gaps where his wings once were. This was his life now. So he blended in with the humans, adopting a new name and identity. He was scouted as a model for his ‘unnatural beauty,’ prompting him to work as a model. And it was through this new life that he crossed paths with the blood witch he took in as his own.
Personality: As Evan, he is an optimist. He always has a smile on his face, and his laughs always bring a happy feeling to those around him. He’s like a puppy with the way he gets easily excitable, you can almost see the imaginary dog tail wagging behind him. He’s very friendly and welcoming, and his presence is warm and relaxing. He might complain once in a while, but he’d still try to find a workaround. Generally, he’s hard working and gives his best both in his work and his everyday life. This part of him closely resembles Azrael when he was young.
Once the facade disappears, however, his ugly side is unearthed. His eyes are guarded, and his words can cut deep if he so wants to. He isn’t just all bark, however; His anger and thirst for power are what drives him to fight, and he easily loses control of his temper. He is deceptive and won’t hesitate to strike if you cross him.
