Nephthys was very content in her blankets. She'd fallen asleep later than usual because the adrenaline from the day before had kept her going all day. Beating her teacher at arm wrestling, being noticed by the other students, and finally starting to feel like she belonged here had made it an overall amazing experience for her. Her aunt had come screeching into her room spouting off about not sleeping the day away and blah blah blah..... At least that's what it sounded like from the teen's point of view. She groaned loudly and rolled over, dragging her warm blankets from her body. "ALRIGHT! Enough, already. I'm getting up. I'll find something to do. Ugh!" She shooed the older woman away so she could get dressed and fix her face and hair. She peaked out of her curtains to see it was snowing again. Another groan escaped her as she meandered over to the wardrobe to find appropriate attire. She was purposely dragging rear just to further annoy her aunt, as the female did not appreciate being so rudely awakened. She settled on a warm looking dress with her usual boots and cloak. She grabbed her school bag and left the building; shutting the door a bit harder than necessary to make a point.


The teen hailed a carriage not long after leaving the house. "Library, please" she requested as she climbed inside. The man nodded to her as he assisted and once she was settled, he climbed in the driver's seat. She slipped a few coins into his palm after he helped her down and thanked him before entering the building. She was grateful to be out of the snow immediately. The young woman wiped her boots on the rug in the entry way and shook out the hem of her dress just to be safe before she dared step on the tile flooring. Her heels echoed as she seemed to be the only person there at the moment. The librarian must have stepped away from the desk as well. She enjoyed the silence very much compared to her aunt's shrill tone from this morning. Nephthys hummed lowly to herself as she perused the books, sliding her fingers over the old spines. She found a few that intrigued her: one was a book of fairy tales, one was a study of celebrar magic, and one was a history on raiments in general. She took these to an empty table, facing one of the windows where the sun was pouring in; then pulled out paper and pencil from hr bag, just in case she saw anything interesting enough to take note of. The brunette sat back comfortably in the chair, ankles crossed, blue eyes fixated on the pages in front of her.

When she ran out of room on the pages she had, the teen glanced at the clock on the wall in front of her. She'd been here for quite a while longer than she'd intended to be. She decided it would be a good time to look for food, and then finally go back home to crawl back in to bed. She enjoyed how uneventful today had been. Nephthys returned all the books to the shelves except for one. She took the fairy tale book to the counter and applied for a library card on the spot in order to check it out. She paid the librarian for the card and thanked them before slipping the card and the book safely into her bag. She secured her bag and her cloak over herself before walking out into the cold. The young woman hummed to herself as she walked through the snow. She decided to walk until she'd found food and would hail a carriage home after eating and exploring for a bit. She got the feeling her aunt wasn't exactly waiting on pins and needles for a quick return as it was.

The young woman woke up in a better mood than usual. It had been fun to get some real physical practice in combat class the day before. She spent the morning finishing the fairy tail book she'd previously checked out and decided not only would she return this one today, but it also might benefit her to browse for a book or two on sword usage. This way, if and when they were given the objective in class again; not only would she not have to imitate another student, but it may also benefit her body to switch up the movements so she wouldn't become stiff or more prominant in certain areas. She decided to walk since it was a bit warmer and the clear sky practically begged her to avoid the carriage. It was a bit far, so she'd worked up a bit of a sweat by the time she finally arrived, but it was so worth it in her opinion. The library was probably becoming the woman's home away from home, which she didn't mind at all. She returned the books she'd previously checked out to the main desk and after a bit of polite conversation with the librarian, she immediately set off through the aisles of books to find one or two that suited her objective.

Nephthys had actually remembered to bring snacks with her this time so she didn't need to leave as early as she had the last time she visited. This actually became a bit of a problem, however, since she hadn't had the internal cue to leave in search of something to eat. This meant the teen stayed at the library far later than she initially intended. It was when she felt the movement of someone near by that she tore herself away from the page she was reading. It was to her shock to find the librarian was lighting the lamps, as the sun had all but dipped in to the horizon in the distance. She swore at herself for being so careless, as she knew her aunt would have quite a few choice words for her when she got home that evening. She would not be able to walk/run home at this point without getting in to even more trouble. Nephthys quickly packed up her things and darted out to hail the first carriage she could find. The young female slipped up stairs to her room nad dumped her bag behind her bed. She lit the lamp on her dresser and changed into a gown as quickly as possible. She'd just dove on to her bed and pulled open a book when her aunt peaked her head in to inquire if she'd really been up here quietly for a time. Nephthys shrugged and said something to the affect of she hadn't known exactly how long she'd been there. Her aunt frowned, but shrugged off the conversation and left. The teen then proceeded to flop onto her pillow with relief before actually getting settled for the night.

((Thanya enters for the new RP day))

The door's the the public library burst open, revealing a rather small figure for the amount of noise she just maid. The small shifter girl would exclaim loudly. "The city has a public library! How come no one told me this! This changes everything!"

Thanya quickly ran from bookshelf to bookshelf giggling like a lone as she took stock of the selection. It was't nearly as impressive as the grand library back at the academy but they definitely had some books she had never seen before. Thany began to pull books from the shelves and stack sthem within the clutches of her tail. It wasn't long before she had her usual mountain of reading material, more then one person could hope to get through in one day, but then Thanya was a quick ready. This being new place for her though she had not scouted out a good reading nook so she wandered around the corridors until she found a window in a corner with a nice beam of light coming through it. Satisfied, Thanya would sit down and begin to read. Today she decided to start out on book of butterfly entomology. Where this reading session would end it was hard to tell.

From her little sunlit corner Thanya reads book for several hours well into the afternoon. However, the loud grumbling emanating from her tummy announced to her that she would indeed have to take a break from the written word to eat. With a sigh, Thanya would close her book and stand up. she would stack her collection neatly in the corner before telling them. "Now, don't you go anywhere I'll be back once a I get some grub."

Thanya would check her coin purse and to her dismay found it was a bit light. She'd have to trek back to the academy dormitories if she wanted something to eat. With another sigh she would leave her precious books for now. But with any luck she could be back before closing if she hurried.
