Xi-Wang Zhào (Sleet Tempest Snape) & Kit Paine (Kitomyx)

Quote:
Despite it seeming like an awful idea to have food near exhibits that are meant to be touched, you must admit, the food smells divine! Everything is either heart, star, plane, or space ship shaped and everything tastes amazing… Supposedly anyway. That’s what the person who’s beckoning to the people to the buffet is saying. You suppose you just have to see for yourself.

So...he likes watching people and eating in a corner by himself?

Kit grinned as he, for what must have been the tenth time, read over the information on the back of the white note card he’d obtained from the red envelope in the mail. He certainly enjoyed meeting new people in general, but this ‘Xi-Wang’ sounded particularly interesting from the details he had provided. It seemed like he enjoyed taking things easy, which Kit was completely fine with. After all, he himself generally liked to go with the flow and considered himself a relatively carefree guy. It was the details that weren’t printed on the card that really made the olive-skinned young man eager to learn more about his partner for the evening. Those were things that he would only be able to find out with time, though.

With a space-patterned shirt sporting 3/4ths sleeves, the college student showed his ticket at the entrance to the museum and strolled on in. Not long after his arrival, he discovered the buffet table and slowly perused the treats set out for people to take. He reached out to pluck a white-chocolate covered strawberry and pop it in his mouth on a whim, admiring the creativity of the food presentation and the selection offered as he browsed. His real aim, however, was to get a good look at the people rather than the buffet, hoping to identify Xi-Wang or someone who might have fit the description he’d given before the other young man spotted him first. It made for an intriguing guessing game since he hadn’t had much to go on and he wasn’t even sure if his pair would have gotten there before him to begin with.

Xi-wang was, as the card had said, sitting in a corner watching people while nibbling on a bit of food he’d managed to get before hurrying to his little corner of the room. The room was large, and full of people and things..and noise, and he was thankfully able to get lost in it all. It hadn’t saved him from a his own thoughts, something he was still worrying himself over, as they were his own and he couldn’t hide from them like he could hide from people. Trying to occupy himself, and keep his hands busy, he was making himself look as small as possible as he ate at some star shaped food. It was some sort of cracker, though it tasted a bit different from a normal cracker, with some other things piled on top of it. To be honest he wasn’t even sure what he’d grabbed to eat, not once he’d realized what sort of event he was at and that he should be home and not at some sort of date night event.

Torn between fleeing and heading home, to try and salvage the evening with Caleb, and staying here he had decided the most polite thing was to remain here - so here he was. A nervous ball of guilt with dark eyes watching everyone around him. The person was said, according to the card, to be over six foot so they would stand out. Not a lot of people were that tall.
Food done, he hadn’t noticed he’d finished till his fork met plate and not food, the teen got up and shuffled his way to the buffet to get something else to fill his time up with eating. A long hoodie, to the point the sleeves covered his fingers, reached his mid thighs while tight jeans covered his legs. He wasn’t anything too stand out, in his opinion, the only thing he figured which stood out about him was the permanent look of eyeliner that he had adorning his face.

Quote:
From what he’d read, Kit had been willing to guess that this person was the sort that wanted to hide, so he imagined they wouldn’t be wearing something that would stand out too much. Hmm...doesn’t want to stand out, but tall? That must suck, he thought, chuckling quietly to himself. Leeeet’s see...whoa, that’s a pretty big hoodie. How do you get something that oversized for someone of that height?

Fairly confident he had located his target, the tattooed teen ambled over to casually cut the stranger off on his route back to the table of food. He blocked the path with his own body, placing himself directly in the way as he held up another strawberry he’d selected - this one dipped in milk chocolate - and pressed it to the other young man’s lips. “Hello there, sweetheart. Looking for something?”

Quote:
With clothing that didn’t catch attention, and keeping as shrunk in on himself as he could, Xi-wang tried to look as small as he could. He didn’t want attention placed on himself, he hadn’t since he was little. As he’d grown though it was harder to avoid attention, even if other classmates were his height. He liked to think he did a good job though, no one seemed to have really noticed him yet, and he was glad for it.

It was just as he was within feet of the buffet table that he was cut off and someone was standing there. Lifting his head, startled by the food pressed to his lips, Xi-wang automatically parted his lips to bite into the chocolate dipped fruit. Chewing and swallowing he stared up with impossibly dark eyes. “H-huh?” Ok, so he wasn’t good with such situations...never had been either. Even with dating someone for months he was horrible with situations like this, and it showed.

“Uuhhh...ummm...I was ummm...going to get some food.” As he stumbled over his words, successfully talking like Bella Swan in Twilight, his right hand had started to toy with his left sleeve - a nervous habit of his. He couldn’t keep his fingers from tugging and twisting at the comfortable fabric as he stood there with a pink tinge slowly coloring his cheeks, for what reason was unknown. It could be his situation, as without thinking he took another bite of the offered fruit, or his own inability to speak properly or how he was just standing there a bit like a doll...a pretty doll but still a doll.

Quote:
Picking up on the anxious behavior, the slightly taller male’s smile broadened and he cocked his head. “How come? Nervous eater?” Kit retrieved the white note card from his back pocket and held it up to reveal Xi-wang’s information printed on it. “If this is you, it seems like it’s my humble privilege and pleasure to escort you this evening.” Tilting forward, he gave a playful little mock bow before righting himself with a wink. “I’ll do my best to satisfy your appetite...whatever your tastes or cravings.”

The wavy-haired young man reached out to gently lift the other’s right hand from his sleeve in order to bring it to his own lips, brushing the back of it with a light kiss while his eyes remained locked on Xi’s. “I’m Kit.”

Quote:
“Nervous eater?” Did he look it? For a moment he considered asking the other that, he really did, but instead he shook his head in order to answer the posed question. Looking over the card pulled out, seeing his own name, he nodded once more. “Y-yeah...that’s me.” Would it really be the other males pleasure, much less privileged, to spend the evening with him? He wanted to mention how much he doubted those words - he was nothing special, but he didn’t say that. How could he decide what the other thought, or assume what the other thought, it would be rude of him to do so...and wrong.

“Umm...what do you want to do tonight?” He didn’t, for now, mention that he was dating someone and needed to get home at some point tonight. He wouldn’t ruin this for the other - he couldn’t, it would be unfair of him to do so. He’d talk to Caleb as soon as he got home.

Surprise danced across dark eyes, which flickered down to his right hand watching as it was lifted up, he kept his eyes locked onto his hand as the others lips pressed to it. “Xi-wang….it’s nice to ummm...meet you.”

Quote:
Kit laughed lightly at the confirmation of the name. “Glad to know you still remember it,” he teased. “And so glad I guessed right. Xi-wang, what I want to do is nothing more than spend the evening in the pleasure of your company.” He lowered their hands, but didn’t let go. “And get to know you better, if you’ll permit me.”

Turning back around to face the table, he snatched up a plate and flashed a sweet smile at Xi-wang. “We can start with your favorite foods, if you like. Seems like the most logical place to begin, don’t you think? What can I get for you?”

Quote:
“I don’t think it was that hard to tell it was me.” With his name, and the mentioning of his eyes and height on the card, it would likely be impossible to miss him...as much as he disliked it. If he could he’d take looking plain, simple, so he could blend in better. Problem was that he didn’t look how he wished, a bit of a shame really.

“Favorite foods…” Glancing about, looking to see what was at the buffet, since before he hadn’t really looked at what he’d grabbed, he shook his head slowly. “Nothing I would say is favorite...but some looks good.” It wasn’t like Chinese food could be made to fit the shapes theme going on, at least not most of it. Plus it just wasn’t fancy enough for something like this - oh well. “I’m not picky though….” And he didn’t want to inconvenience the other, or seem picky. Ignoring the fact the other still held one of his hands, at least as best he could ignore such a thing, Xi-wang would let the other decide what food to load the plate up with...he’d let the other decide on the course of the evening. He just hoped it would be fun, that he could forget the guilt he felt.

Quote:
“Well of course you wouldn’t. You know what you look like,” Kit explained. “If you’re hiding that face under a hoodie, though, no one’s going to be able to see those features no matter how much they stand out or if someone even knew what you meant by how they stand out. In fact, it seemed to me like you were doing your best not to stand out, so could you have expected me to know who you were?” His tone was light and cheerful, indicating he hadn’t minded in the least.

Leaning in, he whispered in Xi-wang’s ear, “Let me guess. Someone put you up to this, didn’t they? Wouldn’t make sense for someone as shy as you to have volunteered yourself for something like this.” He raised his brows and drew back comically as if suddenly happening upon a revelation. “...Unless it was only after you found out who you were paired with that you began to dread this event.”

He chuckled at the other tall fellow’s comment. “Nothing here? What about your favorite food in general?” Kit hovered by Xi-wang’s side and gave his hand a small squeeze before letting go in order to use both hands for loading food onto the plate. “You said ‘some’ looks good, which means you have a preference. Hehe, you gotta work with me a little here, angel-face. I’m not much of a mind-reader and I’d hate to pick up some things you didn’t like.”

Quote:
“O-oh…” That was true. The other was right though, he had been trying his best to hide what he knew stood out about him. His one free hand reached up to lower his hood, slowly, so he wasn’t hiding as much as he had been. He still tried to seem as small as he could, which was difficult given his height. He was proud he was tall...but at the same time he disliked how he stood out in crowds at times. It was a double edged sword for him really.

Flushing a bit, not expecting the other to be whispering in his ear, he didn’t hesitate in nodding. “A friend...said I should meet new friends.” The other was right though, this wasn’t something he’d ever do on his own. He was obvious really, easy to read, his personality was about as easy to read as the large letter E at the eye doctors - maybe easier.

Ducking his head suddenly, at the others words about working with the other. “I’m sorry if I’m being difficult.” And he was, he didn’t want to bother the other...that was the furthest thing really. “I like chinese food, not the cheap chinese though.” He liked the authentic Chinese food which he’d grown up with in his early years, what brought him happy memories, and the food he ate in China town. “Ummm some of this food looks good - don’t know if it is though. Even if it’s something I’ve had before it might not be so good here…” Countering the others words though he did so softly, not wanting to offend the other by speaking up. “Umm….”

Looking over the food, without really lifting his head, he pointed out a few things which did look good - some foods he knew. “What foods do you like?” If they were going to be asking each other questions, in order to get to know the other.

Quote:
“There we go...that’s better.” Kit beamed fondly as Xi-wang finally lowered his hood and revealed his face. Slipping a finger under his chin, he gently tipped his head up to get a better look at his allegedly striking features. “Huh...so these are the markings you were talking about. Not tattoos like mine, are they?” he asked, gesturing to the bright blue swirl designs under his own eyes. “Don’t look like make-up either, though.” Dropping his hand, he released Xi-wang’s chin.

“Heheheh...sounds like a true friend,” he mused upon hearing the other’s reason for attending the event. “Setting someone up with a matchmaking service seems like a kind of drastic move for a goal as simple as that, though. If I were that friend of yours, I’d try to find something you liked and see if there was a way to get you to meet others who shared that interest. But this?” He spread an arm, gesturing at the pink, red, and white heart-shaped, lacy decor surrounding them. “This makes things a bit awkward for trying to start a new friendship. I definitely don’t blame you for wanting to try and hide.”

He blinked when he noticed Xi-wang duck his head. “Huh? Oh, don’t sweat it, cupcake. Relax; I was just teasing.” Grinning again, he affectionately ruffled the other young man’s hair. “Not everyone feels comfortable opening up in the same way for the same reasons in the same amount of time. Just do things at your own pace and I’ll do my best to keep up. I’m in no rush.”

Nodding slowly at the comment about Chinese food, Kit paused, looking thoughtful. “Chinese food, huh? Got a favorite dish? Or foods you especially dislike?” He laughed at Xi-wang’s doubt about the food being as good as it looked. “If you want, I can taste test them for you. Can’t say we’d have the same exact taste in things, but at least I can make sure they’re not poisoned,” he joked. “There’s just one thing. I don’t like chocolate.”

Kit put a portion of each item that Xi-wang pointed out on the plate he carried as they stepped alongside the buffet table. At the question posed to him, the tattooed male peered at his companion out the corner of his eye. “Me?” His smile became sly. How cute; it seemed Xi-wang might have been taking an interest after all. Either that, or he was merely being polite. “I like barbeque pork buns and shark fin dumplings. Meat pastries in general are my favorites, though. My favorite fruit also happens to be Chinese in origin.” Half turning to his new acquaintance, he asked, “Is your ethnicity Chinese?”

Quote:
“N-no...not tattoos or make up…” Flushing a light pink, which he really hoped wasn’t noticed as he felt his cheeks warming, the teen gave a bit of a smile. He rather liked the markings, something he hadn’t told most people, he’d even liked how they looked when he had been slowly turning into crystal though at the time he hadn’t known that. “When lots of people got sick in the city...last year. These came from that.” Figuring it was believable in a city like this, it was what he’d told Caleb. It wasn’t something anyone would known the truth about unless they had dealt with it themself, or knew someone who had and knew what they were.

“Mmm...I think he mentioned also wanting to provoke, or help, get me and the person I am dating to talk…” He’d heard Nischal mention that when he’d been told about the event he’d been signed up for, now he saw the flaw in believing this to be an event to make friends. Such a thing wouldn’t provoke anything with him and Caleb...this would..if he had told the other he was coming here - which he hadn’t. “I’m not much of a people person anyway...so the decorations don’t matter too much honestly. An introvert…” That was the word which fit him. It hadn’t always, he’d been anormal happy, full of energy, child who liked to make friends and be loud and get into some trouble - like most children.

When his mother had changed so had he, what choice had he had? Everything had changed so drastically, day to night in a way, and he had been swept up in it and he’d grown and was now an adult...or almost an adult.

Somehow, maybe ruffling his hair, or the joke about taste testing his food but Xi -wang found himself relaxing enough to laugh softly and shake his head. Dark eyes crinkling up so only small slits of the dark brown, nearly black, color showed. “I don’t think someone would try and poison us here...though this city is rather unsafe.” Something he’d learned more about since becoming a dark mirror senshi. As much as he disliked his mother, or rather the woman she had become, he wished she would leave this city - it was too dangerous.

“Spicy chinese dishes...my mother was from hunan province.” So had cooked a lot of foods from there, not that he said it but it went without say right? “Rice...and anything I don’t have to see killed…” He didn’t mind eating fish, and pork, and chicken but he didn’t want to see it when it was still alive or watch it killed...or butchered. The thought was even bothersome but if he were to see such a thing...there was little chance of him not crying or getting misty eyed at the least.

“I’ll keep the chocolates for myself then.” Since those he didn’t mind, actually he sort of like fruit filled ones...especially cherry. Orange and chocolate he’d discovered wasn’t so nice, not after the first one or two anyway. “For me it’s greasy or oily foods...like fast food.” Or pizza where you could see the grease and oil and it pooled off the slice and onto the plate below. Hot oil, in Chinese food, was a little different but it still did bother him. In fact a lot of his favorite foods bothered him but he tolerated it for the food, he dealt with the greasy and oil coming back up his throat each time for the food.

Watching as foods were loaded onto the plates, the other really didn’t have to do so much for him, he listened as the other listed the foods he liked. While he wasn’t fond of shark finning, it killed far too many sharks and left their numbers depleted, he did notice most of the foods were Chinese in origin. That was just...a pleasant surprise, one which was warming really. Looking away for a moment at the question, watching a couple meeting and flashing cards to each other before shaking hands, he finally nodded his head. “My mother, as I said, is from Hunan province….I don’t know about my father. I know he’s from China.” But where he didn't know. He didn’t know the man's name, age, how big of a family he was from - nothing. Maybe he’d try and sneak into his mother's home and look for any documents which might help him in finding this out. He hadn’t tried since he’d left his mothers home. Maybe soon he’d mirror walk right in and look again...maybe he’d get lucky.

Quote:
Kit tilted his head. “No?” He racked his brains for what sickness Xi-wang might have been referring to. It seemed like the residents of Destiny City had had a great deal of illnesses to overcome in the past year. “Hmm...were those because of the spider attacks? Or that pumpkin spice latte that I think people were getting sick from?” He scratched his head. “I don’t think I remember any sicknesses leaving marks. But then again, I don’t get sick all that much.”

Taking a bite out of a heart-sprinkled, frosted cookie, the tattooed teen appeared astonished. “Oh...you’re dating someone?” His brow furrowed in what seemed to be puzzlement. “You can’t just talk with them normally? I feel like an event like this might just worsen the situation. Unless that friend of yours was trying to make the person you’re dating jealous, but then I don’t know why he wouldn’t just pretend to flirt with you instead. Seems like it’d be a lot more simple and easy to clear up the situation if need be.” He chortled softly again. “I was just referring to the decorations to day it’s more of a romantic atmosphere than a platonic one. But don’t worry; I’ll be nice.” Casting Xi-wang another Cheshire grin, he added, “After all, you probably get enough romance with whomever you’re dating.”

When he heard the other laugh, Kit’s own smile broadened. It sobered a little at the mention of the city being unsafe, though, and he nodded gravely. “Yeah...but hey. What’s life without a little danger, right? And the citizens of Destiny City have prove time and time again that they can persevere. Definitely my kind of place. Rarely a dull moment.”

He listened carefully as his new acquaintance spoke more about his food preferences and parentage, taking it all in and making mental notes. “So you like spicy stuff, don’t like greasy or oily foods, and don’t mind meat, but you don’t like seeing anything killed,” the older teen remarked. Kit tried to interpret Xi-wang’s expression as best he could and put a hand on his shoulder. “Heh, don’t worry. When my sister and I found out how people leave sharks to suffer alive just because of the high demand for their fins, we stopped having those.” Once they reached the end of the table, he handed the other young man his plate.

“Come on. Let’s go sit somewhere.” With one hand holding his own plate and his other free once more, he held it out for Xi-wang to take if he so chose. “By the way, if you think I’m prying too much or making you uncomfortable in any way, just let me know. I’ve been told I have little tact and no sense of personal space.” After glancing about a bit for a place to sit, he looked back at the other black-haired boy. “So you don’t know your father, huh? And it sounds like you’re an only child.”

Quote:
Had this been any other city, or place, and he had mentioned a sickness leaving marks it would have seemed insane. Not just been so...sort of accepted. This city was just to filled with unusual things happening that his little bit of information, of truth, was mostly accepted and overlooked or even discussed in a casual way. The fact Kit was mentioning over things which had happened in the city, other very odd events, was just proof of how dangerous and wrong this city was. “Normally I’m fairly healthy as well.” Except for when people tried to kill him, or beat on him. It was rare, thankfully, for him to get sick. He couldn’t imagine getting sick when living back home with his mother and the she witch who occupied his mothers time….and more of his mother's affection than he did.

At least the other wasn’t upset, he didn’t think so anyway, at the mention he was dating. Shaking his head slowly he found himself pouting a bit, or maybe just giving some other sort of sad look. “Mmmm, he’s been rather cold lately...abrupt as well.” Ending sentences by standing up and just walking off, not finishing things. It all seemed very harsh to him, and he didn’t understand why. Caleb wouldn’t talk to him and he wasn’t sure how to even start a conversation, it wasn’t something he was good at - confrontation. “Nischal is dating someone...I don’t think he’d want to flirt with me just to spark a needed conversation…” As much as it would work. Ad much as he’d tried to ignore it, and been mostly blind to it at the time, Caleb had seemed rather jealous at that hospital charity event. Then he’d just...up and left and stuck him with either leaving or remaining, like he’d been a bad dog or something.

“I wish you were right about the romance thing…” Shrugging lightly he moved to cover up the sadness in his expression. “That is true. The city is never dull, though sometimes I wish it was. I think all the things going on, without much of a break, is a bit much. But I prefer sleeping to being active so it can’t be helped.” He was one of those people who could sleep in almost any situation, as he’d found out while stuck in space with his skin turning into crystal. There were some, though apparently few, limits to his ability to find sleep with ease.

Bobbing his head to the others observation about his food preferences he took the offered plate. “Mmm, sounds about right. Though it somehow makes me sound a bit picky.” Not that he really was, or at least he didn’t try to be. Following at the others side, hunting for a table and chairs to sit in. “Mmm, yeah. My mother….didn’t like my father much.” It was an odd topic to talk about, one he discussed with few other people, but one which still held sway over his life and influenced it.

Finding an empty table he pointed it out for the other. A ways away from where they were it seemed forgotten by other people, who wanted to be closer to the action going on. “I don’t know exactly why she doesn’t like him.” Using mother and father was just unfitting for the people. His mother hadn’t been his mother in years, as far as he was concerned, and he’d never had a father...just some mystery man who he had some unknown traits from but that was it there. “I..umm..I don’t mind your questions. It’s fine - promise.” Again with bobbing his head while making his way towards the table. Moving around people he tried to take a route which meant dealing with people the least, in terms of bumping into them, avoiding them, or even the chance of conversation.

Quote:
“Oh, so this Nischal has his own relationship...that makes sense, then.” Though Xi-wang tried a little later to conceal his misery, Kit had seen enough to realize that the other young man was very troubled by the way things were going between himself and the person he was dating. “Cold and abrupt, huh? Did you bring it to their - his? - attention? Ask him why?”

Sometimes you wish it was, huh? You’re starting to sound like you know more than you’re letting on. It reminded him how he had discovered what a small world it was when at the Anthemusa music festival, Cassie and Clayton had turned out to be Dark Mirror Senshi like himself. “Heh, yeah, sleep is definitely good for your body, but it can be difficult to get enough when you know there could be monsters roaming the streets, ready to suck out your very soul.” It seemed fairly likely to Kit by now that anyone could have been a part of the not-so-secret war through a different identity. If that was true, though, the question remained as to what side Xi-wang was on. Not that Kit would have minded regardless.

He sneered at the comment that the Chinese young man sounded picky. “What? Cupcake, everyone has likes and dislikes. Those weren’t even all that specific. Or a lot. You don’t sound picky, trust me. And even if you did, what does it matter?” He extended his arms and recited a quote. “‘Those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind’, right? Don’t you worry about it.”

The wavy-haired teen nodded again at the mention of Xi-wang’s parents, uttering a soft thank you when an empty table was pointed out to him. It interested Kit to note it was so far away from others, but he didn’t mind as long as his companion was comfortable. “Alright, just let me know. And I’m sorry to hear that about your parents. Hopefully your love life turns out better, though.” He offered an encouraging smile as he set down his plate at the table and pulled up a chair first for Xi-wang and then for himself.

“I’m no expert in romance, but today is Valentine’s Day, and you still have some time left,” Kit pointed out, munching on a sparkling sugar cookie. “No need to waste it all with someone you just met. If you haven’t already, why don’t you try doing something nice for them to see how they might respond?”

Quote:
Taking the offered seat, with a softly spoken thank you, he settled himself with his food. Dark eyes watching the other as he reached for his own fork. “Mmm.I hope so but right now...I don’t think I’ll have more luck than my parents.” Somehow he just didn’t see this...lasting, saddened as he was by it. He wanted to save it but how? He was too nervous to start the conversation, and they needed to talk. This was new territory for him and he was not so good with confrontation of any sort, and that was what needed to be and he knew it.

“I don’t know how to even start a talk. I-I don’t want to upset him somehow...he already seems upset with me somehow.” And he was clueless as to why but it seemed that way to him.

A bite of food and he nodded his head. “I’ll be home in time to do something for the holiday.” He just had no real plans, it was his first time and he really was clueless. He just...had never felt this way or wanted to watch couples who were celebrating the holiday. He felt stunted in a sense.

“I’ll try though….” Flowers first, that was the first thing he could do. But what else? Should he just let things go from there - let Caleb decide?

“Maybe after food I’ll see about doing something…”

Quote:
Kit finished off his cookie as he heard Xi-wang out and inspected a pair of shiny, dark cherries next. He played with the stem that linked the two as he contemplated the issues at hand. “I understand how it can be difficult to broach a subject that might bring about conflict, but if you never talk it out, you’ll never be able to resolve it.

“Think of it this way: if he’s already upset, it can’t hurt to at least try to find out what about, right? At least that way he’ll know you’re aware he’s upset and that you want to know why so you can try to do something to fix it. If you don’t say anything at all, he might think you’re being insensitive and not even paying attention to him.”

Popping one of the fruits in his mouth, he pulled the stem free. “If you’re still worried about how to bring up the topic, though, I’d suggest starting with some sort of peace offering. Lovers tend to expect gifts on Valentine’s Day, after all. You can use a box of chocolates or a bouquet of flowers to smooth your way if he’s that sort of guy.”

Xi-wang assured Kit that he would try and the slightly taller male reached over to pat him on the back. “Atta boy. That’s the most anyone can ask for.” Looking over, he cast the other dark-eyed teen an encouraging smile and offered him the other cherry, holding it to his lips. “It’ll work out for the best, I’m sure.” Considering something a moment, he added, “If you think you might want some more advice or help or just someone to listen to you, though, I can give you my number. Only if you want it, of course.”

Quote:
The other was right, his advice was good, the idea of flowers was a certain thing at this point. He would try and hope for the best, hope they could talk. That was one of the reasons for Nischal signing him up for this...hoping it would spark some sort of needed conversation. He just had to hope it would work and there would be a talk.

“I hope.” Though he wasn’t so sure, unlike the other. He just...couldn’t help but feel pessimistic about it, as much as he didn’t want to. “Mmm, that would be nice, I’d like that.” Taking out his phone he offered it over to the other once he’d unlocked it. “You can add your number.” While he finished what was on his plate he waited. He’d leave soon so he could get flowers and head home, he had a boyfriend to talk to and spend the evening with.

Quote:
“Thank you.” Accepting the phone, Kit quickly entered his number and handed it back. “It’s good to hope, kiddo. And I wish you the best of luck,” he said, his merry demeanor suddenly taking a more serious tone. “But whatever happens, just remember what I said, okay?” He reached out to clasp Xi-wang on the shoulder in a friendly manner once more. “Those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”

Wiping his hands on his napkin, he put it on his paper plate with the rest of his trash and stacked Xi-wang’s empty dish under it them so he could throw them away. Then he pushed his chair back and stood. “I’ll take care of things here. You go on ahead.
