Vernon Hayward, owner of Hayward Industrial, will be a sect leader, supported by Dr. Jakob Lauda, a duo consisting of the Head of the Board and a scientist who wish to see a world where their technology can rival the powers of the false gods. Also, yes, they’re responsible for the creation of a certain bee-themed vigilante’s armor. Ultimately, they wish to “better humanity” by using technology to compete against all else. They have a bitter relationship with Massey Biotech, and are responsible for the power inhibitor collars.

Alpire Pharmaceuticals will be the sect responsible for the drugs simulating the powers of various supers; the drugs themselves are created by harvesting mutagens from kidnapped supers and then adjusting their composition to temporarily apply to other people; they persist in trying to lengthen the effects and opt for something more permanent. Ultimately, this sect is motivated by greed. Its sect leader is Jean-Philippe Pasquier. Alpire Pharmaceuticals has on occasion stolen research from Lisker Labs, and is therefore hostile.

Lisker Labs is headed by R., a group obsessively-interested in the varying effects of seeking dormant supers and awakening their powers. Their research in particular has allowed extensive progress in terms of studying supers. It’s considered the classical sect, far closer to the original goal of science alone, albeit with very little regard for ethics to better yet satisfy curiosity. It commands the most influence of the sects.

Dr. Nellie Briggs and Dr. Yan Meng are the co-leaders of Massey Biotech, whom are responsible for cloning. They’ve worked closely with Lisker Labs, but harbor great ambitions to create superhuman slaves in a bid for world domination. Meng focuses his efforts on the creation of doppelgangers themselves, whereas Briggs focuses on the more experimental aspect of merging various qualities to create unique clones. Ultimately, their experiments are nothing more than tools in their eyes.

Hayward and Lauda are considered the most radical, Pasquier is considered the most dishonest and underhanded, Briggs and Meng are considered the most ambitious, whereas R. is considered a madman obsessed with the science alone.
