Scientists are explaining the bluish tint as just being a natural phenomenon, but in Destiny City, ‘natural’ isn’t really something anyone should expect. Today would have been a good day to stay inside.

Athene really wasn't one for using rooftops when out on patrol, but tonight he had found himself doing just that–
Although that may have had something to do with the fact that he wasn't really patrolling - not really - not tonight. Instead the dark-haired senshi found himself sitting up on roof of the red-brick office building where he had once spoken to Subamara and looking out over the city.
Tonight wasn't a night for patrolling, instead it had been one for remembrance and so he had walked to the part of the city where ********* had helped him to upgrade to eternal with a small bunch of flowers–
And whilst he didn't go to that particular part of the city very often, Athene made sure to make the trip once a year.
The hole in the sidewalk where Painite's spear had hit with enough force to chip the concrete was still there and it was to there where Athene had laid the flowers in memory of the basic senshi who in conjunction with ********* had saved his life at the cost of his own and whose name he had never ever managed to find out - and then he had made his way back across town–
And a strange bluish fog had seemed to roll in, the fog cold enough to have him absently wrapping his arms around himself as he walked, because his senshi outfit wasn't made for the winter cold, thoughts and memories drifting topmost to his mind.
He wasn't sure why he had decided to stop by the red-brick building, but he had somehow ended up sitting on the edge of the roof, his feet dangling over the side as grey eyes pensively looked out on the city.

When Cetus powered up earlier it was with the intent of going for a rooftop run, to work on endurance, and to do some training on his own. It wasn't all that uncommon a thing for him, he was stronger when powered up so wanted to work on that, to work out while powered up in order to improve himself. There was a big enough difference between being powered, and not, that he felt it a good idea to train in both forms.
What he wasn't expecting was a strange blue fog to roll in, and it really was blue, as he was making his way across the roof tops. Stopping in his tracks to watch it, because it was eye catching, the super senshi was hesitant to head down to ground level and see what was going on. He didn't trust it and he didn't want to see what it could do to him, he wasn't an idiot, but he did keep his eyes on it and watched as it did like any other normal fog - dissipated.
He didn't think however that it would still affect him, since he was so high up, but when he started to feel rather depressing, and sad, thoughts which he couldn't shake the super senshi of kappa had to wonder just why he was missing his family and why he felt alone in this whole senshi thing, or at least damn near close to alone. He didn't even go out, powered up, with his cousin. Why not though? They were family...he hadn't seen her in a while either...
He almost missed the signature of an eternal, he was rather caught up in his own thoughts, but he did pick up on the signature and headed that way. It wasn't going to be anyone he knew - he knew so few people. But maybe it was worth it...maybe not - likely not.

Whilst Athene was usually relatively good on picking up on auras, he was too caught up in his own pensive thoughts to initially notice it. Had it really been six years already? Truly? He'd been sixteen at the time of the July when he'd met ********* for the first time - sixteen when the silvery-furred mauvian had changed his life and set things in motion that had tumbled him into a war that he had never started and never wanted to be involved in– And he had been almost a week shy of his seventeenth birthday when she had upgraded him to Super senshi - and he had still been so very naive. But then Athene was under no illusions as to how bad he had been at being a senshi as first a basic senshi and then a super senshi. In fact there were still times that he found himself questioning himself, because he knew that there were stronger senshi out there, knew that there were people who were better suited to all of this– Like Tsui - Tsui the confident and brash tiger of their once team - Tsui who he hadn't been able to help and who he had eventually drifted away from as she started to spend more and more time on her asteroid... And– He found himself jolted from his thoughts when the super senshi's aura finally impinged on his consciousness, the warmth of it marking it as an Order aura rather than a Chaotic one - an Order Super senshi to be precise. And it was close - almost on top of him close.

As he drew closer to the aura the senshi's sneaker clad feet hit the ground, he had traded his geta for proper foot attire as soon as he'd powered up. The shoes made covering distance faster but also kept his feet far warmer than his usual foot wear could hope to do.
Closing in on the signature it didn't take too much longer before Fai was able to see the eternal not too far off. While some might wave, or raise their hand and shout, he did nothing of the sort. He wasn't the sort to be so loud as to draw attention to himself. What he did do was close the remaining distance between them as he landed on the roof top the other was on.
"Safe night?" The first question to leave him, wanting to check up on the other. Had they spotted anything, they hadn't gotten into any fights - nothing?

Athene looked up at the sound of the voice, his head turning to glance over at the super senshi that was walking across the rooftop towards him for a moment before he shuffled backwards and away from the edge of the building and got to his feet– And it seemed that he had been right about the aura being that of a Super senshi, although the green-haired male that was crossing the small distance that separated them was not one he recognised. "It's been quiet" he admitted, his grey eyes still pensive beneath the semi rimless frames of his glasses as he looked up at other "Yours is the first aura that has been this way so far tonight." Well at least since he had come to be sitting up on the edge of the building it was.

"Same here. I've encountered no one else. Perhaps tonight is a good night, though in this city..." He doubted he needed to say anything else, so didn't. It was also winter so he figured something else would be going on in the city, if the Negaverse was being good for once.
"I'm Cetus, senshi of kappa." Offering out a hand, rather than bowing, as he got close enough to the other to shake hands. A super senshi he may be but he didn't know many people, something he didn't really want to fix too much. He knew it was a good idea, and he should do it, but he didn't want to really. He could hold his own, he knew how to fight unlike some.
Once the handshake was over his fingers combed through his bangs, messing them up some, he did for a moment consider taking the little hat off his head..it really was unnecessary and annoying. He knew why it was there, the symbolism, but that did not mean he wanted it perched on his head. He should just start removing it like he did his geta.

Athene nodded "Mayhaps" he agreed quietly, adding "Maybe it's the cold." His lips quirked up in a small but rueful smile "At least it's as good a reason as any and it's certainly cold enough." The smile was still on his lips as he reached out to shake the offered hand, his grip firm but not crushing although his fingers were chilled from the cold "It's nice to meet you Cetus" he said. "I'm Sailor Athene - Athene of beads, but you're welcome to use just Athene."

"It is. It's a wonder anyone is out in this cold." He didn't like it, not one bit, but someone had to go out just in case. Plus he doubted youma felt cold like people did, which meant there were likely some youma out hunting. For him it meant a heavy, long, coat was worn over his uniform so he could keep warm, or at least warmer, in order to try and find and kill some of those loose youma.
"That would be fine, adding in your sphere would be a mouthful and rather pointless after the first few times of saying it." When they were done shaking his hands he let his hand fall to his side and glanced about for a moment. "I figure while no officers may be out there are likely some youma." Whether they'd find any people to drain however was a different matter, as he doubted many people were out in this s**t weather.
Why was it so cold anyway?
