If you were suspicious about the aurora that started up a few days ago, it seems like you have good reason to be. Ever since they began, no one seems to be able to get a good night’s sleep. Fatigue is setting across the town, making people a little extra cranky. It’s a complete downer to the holiday cheer but no one seems to know what to do. There’s no sign that there’s anything supernatural about the aurora, but there’s certainly something odd about it. People lucky enough to even fall asleep only get to rest for a few moments before they are violently jostled awake by the sensation of falling through a rainbow of colors. Some worse off may suffer from the sensation of drowning beneath strange, rainbow colored water. People are passing out from fatigue and some people are suffering from strange vertigo. There doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.

Whilst those living in Destiny City probably knew it for many things, auroras was probably not something that would make that particular list.
Weird stuff? Yes - in fact given the number of strange incidents that had happened over the years - weird stuff was something that was towards the top of the list, but auroras were something that was probably more associated with the Northern Lights.
There had been heavy snowfall a few days before the aurora's sudden appearance in the skies, one that had been enough to keep Mi-Hi pretty much limited to the house, because whilst in practice leaving was just a mirror walk away, she preferred not to power up inside the house.
In part it was due to the fact that neither of her parents were aware of her double life as Sadalsuud and if one or both of them walked in on her whilst transformed then it would make for some very awkward conversations - conversations that she would rather avoid given her complete and utter lousiness at lying–
But in part it was because in a way powering up away from the house was safer, even if it did make for a little more inconvenience on her end.
Either way with the way the snow had been coming down it had really been a moot point, because the weather had been far too cold to go out in–
And so she had settled for working on wrapping her presents, including the one that she had carefully hand made for Sinope during her last few pottery classes.
And whilst it was true that the holly-patterned wrapping paper that she had to hand wasn't the most expensive wrapping paper, she had done her best to carefully and neatly wrap her gift before finishing it off with a cheerful gift tag that she had kept unwritten - at least whilst she was stuck in the house.
She had sneaked out when the falling snow had lightened and the clouds had finally thinned, determined to try and find Sinope so that she could give her friend the present she had made, only to find herself distracted by the pretty display in the skies and the way how the colours twisted and shifted and whilst she had come across a dark mirror senshi it hadn't been Sinope.
It was only belatedly that she realised that it probably would have been simpler and a lot easier to just call her friend via her compact, although by then it was too late to go back out.
Sadalsuud had made sure to do so on the day after however had agreed to meet Sinope at a park close to the Meadowview campus in a couple of days time.
Which was how she had come to be out and about, hands carefully clasped around the present, the tag finally labelled with a 'to Sinope, from Sadal' and a cute little doodle that was supposed to be holly, but really wasn't.
The park had been empty when she had finally made it there and so she had settled on a bench to wait, with the present carefully placed next to her, trying her best not to yawn as the previous sleepless nights started to catch up to her - but it wasn't long before she lost the battle, one yawn quickly becoming two and two becoming many–
And it was hard to tell when she finally gave up on the battle on staying awake, Sadalsuud's eyelids fluttering shut as she drifted into a doze.

No rush on tagging this - I just wanted to get it up and started :3 Sorry it's so long. Hope this works as a start, but if not let me know and I'll tweak it asap
When Sinope had been contacted by Sadalsuud, he'd been shocked. He knew she had always stuck with him whenever the court came together and once or twice they had run into each other while out and about the city, but he hadn't expected ever expected her to take the initiative to contact him.
It gave him a simultaneously warm and unnerving sensation to know that someone would bother trying to get in touch with him for a reason other than his work for Faustite or Acubens. Since it was Sadal contacting him during the 'season of giving', he suspected she had something to give him, kind as she was. It didn't seem to matter to her how undeserving he was. Well...he'd often thought she was much too selfless for her own good.
If he was right about the reason she wanted to meet him, the senshi of slyness knew he couldn't have gone empty-handed. The problem was he was no longer living at his home anymore, which meant he had no money with which to purchase a present. That was unacceptable, but so was taking something from Elex's boat. What could he have given her from there, anyway? A bottle of hard liquor?
In the end, Sinope had made up his mind to steal back into his room through his bathroom mirror while his parents were out. It had taken him a little bit, but he managed to grab some warmer clothes to wear over his sleeveless fuku and shorts in addition to some cash his parents kept around the house. He would pay them back one day...eventually. For now, though, he figured he needed it more than they did.
It took more time than he had estimated to find and purchase a half-way decent gift. By the time the redhead made it to the predetermined park, his senshi outfit almost completely layered over by his civilian winter clothes, Sadalsuud appeared to have fallen asleep. He hurried to her petite figure, which stood out sharply with garbed in black and green against the pale winter backdrop, and leaned over the bench upon which she lay.
He found it somewhat amusing that she reminded him so strongly of the fairytale princess, Snow White. Like how the snow caused her dark garments to stand out, her pale complexion was framed by her soft, shining, pitch black locks. He felt his own cheeks warm slightly but banished his less pure thoughts in favor of more practical ones.
In his arms he carried a thick, green jacket with fur trim - his final purchase after several hours of gift-hunting. Since he doubted Sadalsuud had been any better equipped to deal with this weather in her sailor scout than he had been, he'd wanted to get something that might have been useful to her as well as something she might have liked. Sinope wasn't all that familiar in her taste of clothes, but he hoped it would do.
Leaning further over her unconcious body, he draped the jacket across it with quiet words of concern. "Sadal? Sadalsuud, you better wake up; you're going to get sick out here."
Hazel eyes fell upon the giftwrapped object tagged with their names and he couldn't help but smile bitterly. "...Oh Sadal. What am I going to do with you?" Sinope closed his eyes and shook his head, sighing as he circled around the bench to sit beside the female Dark Mirror Senshi. "You're too sweet. Sooner or later, someone's going to take advantage of that," he murmured, watching her sleeping form.

Sadalsuud found herself dreaming of colours - of reds, oranges and yellows - and of greens, blues and purples as the colours swirled and shifted around her.
No not around her, under her - the colours forming some sort of path beneath her feet as the path stretched into the far distance–
And she knew what was coming next because it was the same dream that she had had on the few previous occasions when she had managed to doze off over the course of the previous nights, but the knowing didn't make it feel any better even as the colours under her feet started to swirl violently–
Sadalsuud jerked awake with a start - her green eyes groggy and her thoughts full of collapsing colours and then found herself frowning in sleepy confusion at the sensation of softness under her finger tips.
A coat?
It took a moment or so more for the her to realise that she was no longer alone on the bench, but she managed a sleepy if embarrassed smile as when she turned her head and spotted Sinope.
"Did you bring the coat?" She asked with a tired yawn that she tried to hide behind a hand. "It's pretty" because it was a really nice shade of green and the hood was nice and fluffy.
She smiled again, her smile a little less sleepy as she added "But I'm glad that you were able to come out tonight because I wanted to give you something."
On opening the box that sat between them Sinope would find a handmade mug that had been glazed in a purple of a similar colour to the purple of his fuku that had a fox on it with the fox tail crafted in such a way as to make up the handle and he would also find a selection of Korean sweets and a neatly hand printed note listing what they were.

Wasn't sure if you wanted a ref, but Sadal stuck in a mix of the following:
