((This rp takes place a few weeks after this one))

Oort’s first trip to his home world had been with Euporie.

It had been a few days before Halloween and incidentally by extension his fourteenth birthday, but the two of them hadn’t been able to get very far, a strange barrier seeming to impede their way forward after a certain point–

And maybe ‘barrier’ wasn’t the right word for it, but Oort hadn’t been able to think of a better one - and the two of them had run something that had impeded their way forward.

The little that he had managed to see however had seemed to suggest a building of some sort, had seen however had seemed to suggest that they were in a building of some sort with floors made up of a dull sort of stone, with walls to match–

And whilst Oort hadn’t been able to spot a visible light source on the visit, he suspected that there had to be one somewhere - because whilst the light levels hadn’t been great - there been enough light to be able to move around the corridors of the building.

There had been doors too, made of some sort of silvery-grey metal, although annoyingly they had all seemed locked - well at least the ones that he had come across had.

It hadn’t been much of a trip and whilst he had been glad of Euporie’s company, Oort hadn’t been able to help feel a little bad about dragging her along with him, because it couldn’t have been particularly interesting.

And whilst in part that may have been down to his preparations - or rather lack of them - it had made him decided to go alone on his next visit.

He’d actually planned to go a few days after sneaking out that first time, only to find out after sneaking out that something seemed to be stopping the magic from working.

It had taken a few weeks before he next got the chance to sneak out, which had brought him to tonight and the small park that he found himself in because tonight was the night that Oort planned to try again–

And he’d prepared better this time round, with a flashlight, spare batteries and a pen and A4 notepad both to jot down notes on to go with the soda and pilfered cookies.

He’d draw out a rough map, he decided, because at least it would be a record of where he’d been - and if he did manage to find something interesting then at least it would be a record of that too - and maybe he’d use the senshiphone to take pictures too.

Maybe…

And maybe he’d leave the notepad and whatever notes he put in it on his homeworld too.

Or maybe he wouldn’t, Oort acknowledged with a slight frown as reddish eyes gave the contents of his rucksack one last look over to make sure he hadn’t forgotten anything - like the small but serviceable flashlight that he’d sneaked out from his father’s tool kit - before he straightened.

It was something that he’d decide on later he decided - like after he’d actually had something written down in said notebook.

For now however his homeworld awaited - and hopefully this time round he’d manage to find out more than on his previous visit.
