[RP Event] Fathoms Deep - Event Stage Three!

RP response: Spent, emotionally, and physically it was almost too much when Lyra once again got flung out of the way of battle by the Kraken's many arms. As it was too much for her, she did not return to battle again. Her gaze swept those still fighting and the mare wasn't sure if she should return to land or witness whatever the final result would be. If she stuck around and the Kraken won would she have enough time to flee? She hoped so. Spotting her brother once more in the melee she decided to put a little bit more of distance between the reach of the Kraken and herself. If things looked bad she would flee to her parents.

RP response: Creature noted that the much hated beast by now was distracted. Giving a sinister, echoing laugh the black stallion rushed in to take the thing by surprise. He lashed out with systematic kicks and struck quite a few solid blows.

RP response: Using distraction of the beast to his advantage Creature barrelled in like a rocket and struck successfully once more. He was getting really good at reading when to strike.

RP response: Noticing yet again that the beast was distracted Creature managed to pull off another sneak attack and inflicted some damage to a tentacle.

RP response: Creature muttered softly as his latest charge resulted in a near miss. It was okay though. He could count the number of times he'd been hit in comparison to the number of times he'd struck the beast.

RP response: Creature knew this moment was coming. Overconfident he didn't see the beast lash out at him and as a result he got flung back.

RP response: Creature snarled loudly in defiance as the beast suddenly shifted to pass over him. As it moved though the stallion spotted what looked to be a bloody wound on the underbelly. Swimming quickly Creature closed the distance between the beast and himself and struck squarely in that open wound, revelling in the bellow of pain he heard the beast give. Victory!

RP response: Although Creature had taken hits and received them, it seemed as if though the beast was suddenly very much in tune with his style of fighting and could dodge his latest attack ... but that didn't make sense, did it?

RP response: Creature struggled to get out of the beast's grip. He'd been readying himself for another charge when all of a sudden a tentacle had caught him. The stallion grunted in surprise and found it harder to breath as the appendage squeezed tighter and tighter, cutting off his oxygen supply. Kicking out feebly in hopes of escaping Creature started seeing black spots in his vision. Lashing out with one last volley seemed to work and suddenly the black stallion was free. Gasping and shaking off the dimness to his vision he held himself back from attacking again. He'd done enough.

Final total: Creature delivered 185 damage to the Kraken.

RP response: Yet another day of striking at the Kraken, attempting to drive off the fearsome beast. Irridian didn't much care where the creature went, so long as it was away from the villagers, leaving them in peace. He had seen a good many be swatted or seized by the waving arms, and though he had had significant luck in evading the attacks thus far, today he was not so fortunate. Very nearly made lunch by the beast, he thrashed his way free and shook of his daze, preparing another strike.

RP response: Spying a nearby mer stallion, Irridian flared his fins and twisted his tail, jerking his head toward the Kraken in wordless question. Upon receiving a firm nod from the stranger, he grinned and darted back, drawing even with the other stallion. Glancing at him to ensure they were on the same page, Irridian drew himself up and surged forward and struck the Kraken in unison with his new ally.
Their hits landed and the Kraken recoiled, making Irri trumpet in victory.

RP response: Deciding they have a fairly good thing going, Irridian nods again at his companion and darts forward to land another hit. He can see a tentacle sweep his way and dodges it, huffing as he manages to land a glancing blow before spiraling out of reach again. It wasn't quite as strong as his first strike, but still satisfactory in that damage was dealt.

RP response: Taking advantage of the other stallion's proficiency in fighting, Irridian dove and twisted and landed another hit, this time on one of the large tentacles. He flitted away to avoid any retaliatory attack, grinning widely at the creature's reaction to his hit. Surely it was nearly over?
