Quote: Giant spiders were reported at the Destiny City Botanical Garden, but upon police arrival, none of the spiders could be found. This either means that everyone there had a mass hallucination, or worse…There are Giant Spiders still out there, lurking in Destiny City. You might have been at the Gardens, you might not have—but you’re about to get up close and personal with a giant spider while you are out one night. At first, nothing seems amiss; the spiders have no energy signatures and can creep silently, but they appear out of nowhere. They are easily the size of a small car and can appear alone or in groups. Their legs are strong and sharp, and they have long fans the size of steak knives. Toxic foam dribbles from their mouths, so if you’re fighting them— be careful. The spiders can be defeated or will run away if they are too damaged, but another spider will always arrive to claim the carcass of the fallen. You can run, fight, call for help—anything—just be careful. Those spider bites are a pain… For someone who lived on the streets by himself, the monsters popping up left and right were no picnic. It was bad enough that youma showed up on a regular basis in Destiny City, but around this time of year, they seemed to get especially rowdy. Leiko found more and more webs wherever he had ventured throughout the month, but that particular morning, he'd woken to an unpleasant surprise. Two enormous spiders had squeezed themselves into the alley he had curled up in the following night. One lowered itself from a thick strand of webbing secured to the top of a building while the other maneuvered itself as best it could on the ground among the litter and rubbish from overflowing dumpsters and toppled tin garbage cans.
It was a full minute before the dirty blonde was able to process that what he was seeing was not a nightmare but real life. Recovering from his catatonic stupor, he retreated slowly, trying not to make any sudden moves until he felt the wall of the alley's dead end at his back. It was then that his adrenaline kicked in, combining with his survival instincts to trigger the muscles he required to use parkour.
Fear stunted his thoughts, but he didn't need to think in order to take action. Leiko hopped up onto the lid of a dumpster, jumped from there to push off a wall, and landed on the fire escape. He hung there from a railing, inspecting the building tops where one of the spiders had lowered itself from, and noticed a third waiting on the roof. It seemed to be working on a web bridging across the two buildings the alleyway was tucked between. He didn't dare try to find out how many others might have been lingering to ambush him up there, but where he was, he was surely trapped. What to do?
Oh, right. He had a henshin pen.
Sticking his hand into his pocket, he located the henshin pen and transformed into Sailor Kissling to defend himself better against the monsters. Unfortunately, though they hadn't appeared to have paid much if any attention to him up until then, his powering up seemed to have alerted them to his presence at the back of the alley. Both giant spiders began to close in on newly-discovered prey.
Kissling did not have a great deal of combat experience. Because his attack deterred others from wanting to use physical violence against them, he hadn't thought he would have needed it. However, he wasn't certain that his magic would have worked on the unnatural monsters. He suppose he could have tried, but since he was a first stage senshi, he knew his magic was relatively weak. Furthermore, the strength of his magic's effect was based on how intensely or intimately he kissed his targets and he didn't think he quite had the courage to directly kiss the eight-eyed, eight-legged freaks of nature – or something more sinister. A blown kiss would have to do.
"Kiss and Make Up!" he yelled at the creatures, blowing the nearest one – the one suspended on a thread from above – a delicate kiss. His magic took the shape of a pair of pink lips that floated toward the target until they made contact and created pink sparkles. When the sparkles faded, a kiss mark appeared upon the spider. It turned away and Kissling exhaled in relief – right up until he realized it was headed for someone else.Sweenys_Revenge ((Hope this is okay! Please let me know if I need to change anything! Acubens is free to have come in at any time, whether before or after Leiko transformed.))

With Xi-Wang out of the apartment, Rhona had been feeling... lonely. She was overjoyed that he went to live with his beau, and couldn't wait to meet the lucky guy but... she still felt like she had a bit of an empty nest to contend with. And even though he had moved his things out of the spare room, she still couldn't bring herself to move her things back into it. It was just a made bed and empty dresser but... it was the last vestiges that she had of Xi. Tears stung at her eyes and she wiped them away hastily. God, she was thinking about him like he was dead! She laughed despite herself and swallowed the lump in her throat. Don't be silly Rhona Lee. He's across town, probably snuggled up right now next to his beau sleeping soundly. True, she would miss coming home to him sleeping on the couch or where ever he landed. She would miss dinners with him and TV and morning rituals. It was this feeling of emptiness that propelled her out of her apartment that day to walk and get groceries. She was planning on a nice hearty fall stew with lots of roots and mushrooms and big hunks of beef for supper. Comfort food by any other name really. And she needed some other staples that she'd let slide in lieu of the sorrow that seemed to come upon her suddenly when she wanted to call to Xi Wang and realized that he wasn't there anymore. And so, her arms were laden with the burdens of her shopping, dark green tops of leafy vegetables poking out of the bags. Maybe she would stop and get a croissant or something at the cafe by her apartment before she headed up to start cooking. But the croissant would have to wait, as would the wonderful stew that she had planned, which became apparent as a shadow fell across her path. Her first instinct was that she had stumbled upon a youma, and her next was to power up. If anyone saw her then well... she'd deal with that later. She wasn't, after all, against forced corruptions in extreme cases. And this was an extreme case. Acubens dropped the bags in her arms and grabbed her henshin pen form her back pocket. "Acubens Eternal Power Make up!" Magic encased her in it's safe warm glow, the wet heat of somewhere tropical soothing her before the battle and in the distance the soft calling of raptors. It sounded like home. When the magic set her down, Rhona had become Sailor Acubens, and she was ********' ready for a fight. "Hey ugly," she sneered, curling her fingers into wicked little claws and leaping into the air. She wouldn't need her magic to beat these beasts. She'd done it before and she would do it again. Acubens easily drug the spider from it's web and down to the ground where she slammed her fists into it over and over until she heard the cracking sound of the exoskeleton giving way. She turned from it and faced the senshi in the alley with her. Oh good... Dark Mirror. So Acubens wouldn't have to deal with any unpleasantness today. she grinned, viscera dripping from her abused knuckles, and offered a small wave to the other senshi before she set to work on the other spider. "I killed your girlfriend. Whatcha gunna do about it?" Well apparently it was going to bite. Hard. Acubens was more taken aback than in pain, and she clutched the wound for a moment while she took stock of what had happened. She cussed. Loudly. And then she delivered a swift kick to the beast for her troubles. She did not have the money for a hospital visit.

The blonde senshi gaped, eyes wide as the spider's would-be prey immediately turned the tables with a surprise transformation and an easy victory delivered through super-powered fists of eternal-level magic. Kissling's shock was only renewed as the confident young woman had the time to give him a wave in greeting before returning to making short work of her enemies.
His astonishment was quickly burned away by fear and concern when he watched the eternal senshi get bitten. She didn't seem to be particularly deterred by it, but Kissling had been exposed to enough youma out on the streets to know that it wasn't necessarily the initial injury that caused the most trouble. If that spider had venom, there was a very high chance that the lady would suffer far worse as time passed. They had to finish this quickly. They, as in he couldn't just hang around idly while she beat up the giant bugs. What to do, though?
He didn't think he had the ridiculous strength that the eternal had, but he knew he had something of a boost to his usual abilities. Seeking to utilize his kinetic abilities built up from parkour and breakdancing, Kissling grabbed a rail from the fire escape balcony above. He swung his legs up, then back, then forward again, swinging until he thought he had enough momentum to fling himself into the air.
At the apex of his next swing, he released the rail and focused all the strength he could manage on his feet, aiming for the spider head and stomping down as hard as he could. It was more simple than he'd expected in that the action was similar to aiming for a particular landing spot when performing parkour.
With the combined impact of his weight, the force of his momentum, and the strength of his legs, the head squished under his shoes with a resounding squelch that echoed down the alleyway. Kissling cringed and shuddered, hopping off the carcass immediately. There was no time to consider what he'd just done, though. Instead, he gingerly examined Acubens' arm. It was a shame he didn't have healing kisses.
Upon closer inspection, Kissling realized he recognized the eternal senshi from when their court had spent time in Altea's castle. What was her name, again? He couldn't quite recall. "Thank you," he told her, his heart hammering in his chest. "But you didn't need to get hurt because of me! Do you have a first aid kit or something? How are you feeling?"Sweenys_Revenge ((Thanks for your patience heart ))
