● Dark Écriture: Teleportation
Description: Ciaran is able to teleport by turning himself into many runes. These runes float in the air freely and go to the place where they unite to form his body again.
● Dark Écriture: Fear
Description: After writing a series of runes on his target, Ciaran will slowly force the opponent to lose courage, breaking their will to fight and causing them uncontrollable fear of death.
● Dark Écriture: Pain
Description: Ciaran writes runes on his opponent, which will inflict immense pain on them without actually dealing any damage to their body. This spell can also be cast from a longer range. By creating runes, he summons several magical beams that are directed to attack his enemy. Alternatively, this spell can be cast differently by swinging Ciaran's arm repeatedly in a slicing motion, releasing a volley of beams.
● Dark Écriture: Wings
Description: After writing runes on himself, Ciaran gains dark purple magical wings that allow him to fly.
● Dark Écriture: Absolute Shadow
Description: By writing runes on himself, Ciaran turns into a dark-colored armored knight. This spell appears to increase his power and speed, even allowing him to produce an electric shock-wave for melee purposes.
● Dark Écriture: Reflect
Description: By writing runes in thin air, Ciaran can reflect an incoming projectile.
● Dark Écriture: Destruction
Description: Ciaran slashes the target with his scian (short sword), inflicting great damage onto them.
● Dark Écriture: Venom
Description: Ciaran slashes the enemy with a sword, and writes runes that poison the target.
● Dark Écriture: Restrain
Description: By creating a series of runes, Ciaran can restrict his enemy's movement. The runes spread outward from the point of contact, flowing over the target's body to restrain and subdue. Ciaran does not need to make direct physical contact with his enemy in order for this spell to be effective. He is capable of casting it from thin air so long as the string of runes is completed. The more magic implemented, the more resilient and efficient the binding.

ADVANCED SPELLS/ARMOURS/ETC.:
● Dark Écriture: Suffering
Description: Writing runes on his target, Ciaran amplifies the already-present pain, inflicting even harsher pain unto the victim.
● Dark Écriture: Death
Description: Ciaran creates four runes in the air which turn into a volley of sparks that inflict great damage to the target. If not ceased in time, the spell has the capability of causing death.
● Dark Écriture: Darkness
Description: By writing runes on himself, Ciaran turns into a dark-colored, demonic creature, with horns coming out of his head and his right eye covered with scales. This spell increases his strength and allows him to use Darkness Magic.
● Dark Écriture: Twin
Description: A combination of Thought Projection and Dark Écriture. Ciaran summons forth runes which flow from his body. These runes bind together to form an exact replica of him. His clone is capable of interacting with the world around it in every way, even being able to perform small instances of magic though nothing advanced. When its goals are accomplished, it can dissipate on its own accord or return to brief him. The information melds seamlessly into his mind regardless, the clone's knowledge becoming his own. Ciaran generally reserves this spell for reconnaissance and recruitment as it allows him to essentially be in two places at once. However, he cannot maintain the spell for more than an hour at the least and a day at the most. Its effectiveness tends to wear thin if he uses other spells concurrently. Additionally, any use of magic by the clone draws from Ciaran's own reserves and thus affects the amount of magic he can use at a given time. This spell is active for 5 posts unless dispelled earlier.

ULTIMATE SPELLS/ARMOURS/ETC.:
● Dark Écriture: Memory
Description: A combination of Illusion and Dark Écriture. By writing runes on his target's body, Ciaran is able to bring forth any latent memories, utilizing his magic to give physical presence to said memory. This is most useful when gathering information from an enemy or when trying to determine truthfulness. The process itself is rather painful to the target, but also requires a larger amount of magic due to using two different forms of magic at the same instance.
● Dark Écriture: Hollow-point
Description: Ciaran stretches his arms in front of him, runes coiling around from shoulder to fingertips. With a simple flick, the runes fly from the ends of his fingers towards the target. They are the same size and shape as a bullet and can become just as deadly. The velocity upon contact is so great that a rune can enter and exit flesh without impediment, cause internal bleeding, and damage internal organs. Wounds left untreated in a timely manner are typically fatal, though he rarely employs such measures. As painful and lethal as it is, Ciaran is not capable of maintaining it for more than a few seconds. The heavily condensed bullet-like runes take more magic to mold them properly. He cannot fire more than ten at a time. One for each finger.

PERSONALITY: Ciaran is, for the most part, a reserved individual. He does not jump into action quickly, preferring to sit back and study his opponent for some time. When he speaks, it tends to come off as cocky because he believes that Master Kimura's way- similar to his way- is the only route to bringing true peace to the world. Ciaran believes that only the strong- those capable of avoiding the pain of loss- will be able to survive in the new world, and that any form of weakness shouldn't be tolerated. In this way, as well as many others, he can be extremely stubborn. Even with his guildmates, Ciaran can be rather difficult to handle due to his eccentricities and rigid viewpoint.

Personal beliefs notwithstanding, Ciaran holds quite the sadistic streak. This is most notably evidenced during battles against his enemies, and sometimes even his allies...if they piss him off enough. His is a slow descent into darkness as he prefers to toy with his opponents, taunting and tormenting them before delivering the final blow. He further enjoys marking his triumph by etching the fallen's expression into a pumpkin or by painting it upon a canvas. A morbid yet artistic trophy. However, contrary to what some might believe, he does not possess a mental disorder nor is he remotely psychotic. He is well within his faculties during these instances, capable of enjoying them thoroughly while his intellect shines. Such idiosyncrasies might very well stem from witnessing his family's murder, not that he cares to explore the reasoning behind it.

BIOGRAPHY: Ciaran had the ideal childhood growing up. He had a loving father, mother, and an older sister. They all lived in a comfortable home on the outskirts of Dublin. His father and mother made their living working as mages for one of the small, local guilds while his sister took an apprenticeship in a magic shop within the city. As Ciaran grew, he vowed to join the guild as well so that he might go on missions with his parents and the other members.

At the age of eight, he managed to learn magic, spiking the current Guild Master's interest. The Master allowed the young mage to join the guild under the stipulation that he become stronger in order to protect his now expanded family. Ciaran, of course, agreed with vehemence, relishing the looks of pride among his family. Everything had fallen into place and things couldn't have been better.

All of that was too change, however. One day, the city came under attack from a band of vigilantes and separatists. The members of the guild fought valiantly, putting their heart and soul into protecting the town until finally vanquishing the evil. Unfortunately, the price of their victory came at a heavy cost. Ciaran and his family had joined in the battle, but quickly became outnumbered and outranked. In the blink of an eye, Ciaran's entire world turned upside down as he watched his entire family being slaughtered in front of him.

He, too, had been injured during the fray but felt nothing aside from the pain in his heart and mind. After that fight, Ciaran grew disillusioned with the world that had taken his family from him, as well as the guild that had been unable to protect his family. He left his once treasured guild, swearing that he would change the world so that nobody would have to feel such pain again. Eventually, he found his way to the United States, having heard of a dark guild called Dragon's Bane- a guild which promised to help him achieve his goals. Ciaran joined and now seeks to rid the world of those weak enough to experience loss, while also furthering his macabre artistic endeavors. His motto stating that "If you bear the pain of loss, then you were simply not strong enough to live in the new world."
