𝗠𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲-𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄, 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 (Xavier, n.d).
- ___Mutants...Mutates...Inhumans...over the last few decades, humans have been gaining powers beyond most of their understandings. Agencies such as SHIELD have sprung up to put such people in the INDEX since the second world war regardless of the distinctions of how they gained their abilities. SHIELD isn't the only agency that has been interested in tracking these people with special powers. Governments all over the world have been whispering about what to do about them. Half a generation ago, when the events at Sokovia came into light the Sokovian Accords came into effect.
___Since then other smaller events have happened all around the globe which have prompted government responses. Groups such as the Brotherhood and the X-men rose up through the last few generations as a counter point to government agencies (like the Sentinel agency) seeking to identify and control super powered individuals. Even the Avengers helped to play their part keeping the world's powers balanced. They had their own issues but they helped to balance out the world...until suddenly they were gone.
___Something opened up a rip in the universes. Almost over night the Avengers, X-men and those higher up in the Brotherhood disappeared. New mutants and mutates kept springing up all around the world. Since they disappeared, in the United States alone, mutant related crimes being reported have spiked. Along with those born into this world others from different universes have come in; not all of them friendly. A new mutant underground has formed but it is weak without the leadership of a strong leader like Magneto or Xavier.
___The rift has since closed but in it's wake there has been nearly a decade of fear and panic. Neighbors turn in neighbors just for the way they were born and parents find their views towards the Mutant topic changing when they find out that the issue is closer to home. This broken world is the one we live in because as of now it's the only one we've got.
𝙍𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨
___I would like to be able to roleplay with people who can produce at least two paragraphs (12 complete sentences) per post. These people should try to post once per week but keep in mind that sometimes there will be days without posts. I understand that a lot of people have a lot of things to do in their life which is why I believe that loyalty to a roleplay is more important than posting every week. However, I do love plotting and talking with people so using discord for the main OOC would be something that I hope everyone who signs up is comfortable with.This doesn't mean that you have to use voice or face chats - just the text based. Real FCs would be in use. Posting formats can be as simple as a picture and a name in each post or as elaborate as you'd like.
___Characters could either be human, mutants, mutates, or inhumans. Their powers, one per character, should have weaknesses as well as limitations based on how long they've had them. But even if they've had them a long time there should be at least half as many weaknesses as techniques. I would like to work in a stat system that shouldn't be completely serious but I think it helps to get an idea of a character. Canon characters can be uses as long as they were either minor characters in the three groups, or didn't belong to them. But I would like to make sure that we can all work together into a plot so keep that in mind. Another exception could be is if you have a valid reason why they'd be away from their group at the time - but for prominent characters like Scott, Jean, Storm, Xavier, or any of the main avengers that would not work.
___I'm going to restate this - I want all characters to start to come together and work together. In the new series The Gifted there is an underground group trying to help super powered humans --- I want to play with this new group and have our characters both Canon and OCs to become a part of it.
