They appeared on a new platform, but this one spread out much further than the one that had remained after Altea’s demise. In the distance, strange white islands floated slowly around them. Held in place by some unseen magnetic field, the islands seemed to slowly orbit this center platform.
Unlike the endless darkness of the last realm, stars appeared to glisten in the distance. They didn’t seem natural; instead, they seemed more like faraway mirrors, reflecting a distant light. Though the sky was black, the world below wasn’t dark; above them, a great light burned in the distance—only, it was obscured strangely, as though they had entered during the middle of an eclipse.
The Golden Mirror they had stepped through remained behind them, near to the edge of the platform they had appeared on.
The ground at their feet was as white as the walls of Mirrorspace and seemed entirely flat. A close inspection would reveal a layer of pale white dirt, soft to the touch and odorless.
The Chaos Seed that had erupted from Altea’s chest floated in front of them. It was within their reach, and yet it would not let anyone handle it. Instead, it floated in front of them a good few yards and stopped abruptly.
The ground trembled and then, before them, a cylindrical pillar split from the ground as if the white platform was growing it, itself. It grew well into the sky, puncturing the empty space and growing in girth. Even from a distance, it was easy to make out the fine detail and elaborate architecture. Arched windows with intricate frames and reflective glass adorned each floor and it appeared to have a distinctively gothic appearance.
The Chaos crystal glistened—a dark star guiding them.
No matter how they tried, they could not reach it, could not touch it. Something about it seemed off, aside from the cracks. When the pillar stopped growing, it flashed once more and then its luster faded.
There was so much left unanswered, and yet one thing was clear: Altea no longer held possession.
No longer would it reflect her needs, but theirs.
And it had given them this world.
It was theirs, insofar as any Chaos Seed could belong to someone.
And right now? It hardly seemed to be a threat. A pale bubble appeared around it and it began to slowly ascend until it took its place at the top of the great Citadel before them. A small nodule seemed a perfect fit; it wasn’t easy to examine from the distance, but the crystal seemed secure atop the newly formed structure. The moment the crystal settled into its slot atop the highest spire, a wave of black slid down the Citadel, painting its walls like Onyx.
The Chaos crystal was not the only interesting crystal, though.
Anyone who found a crystal in Mirrorspace would find it suddenly manifesting before them, hovering within reach. Something was different about them; it seemed the traits they had expressed before seemed enhanced, here.
The red crystal was no longer just warm to the touch; it erupted into ethereal flames that licked the surface. Though warm, it didn’t burn. The pale blue crystal seemed slick with moisture and, when pressure was applied, began to drip water. The white crystal seemed to emit a cool breeze that blew gently, even up to a foot away. The green crystal had small sprouts growing on it, and the grey crystal seemed to drop dust when it was shaken. Small, painless bolts of electricity danced on the surface of the yellow crystal.
They came with no instruction manual, but something about them was just understandable.
The Senshi would feel a strange urge to crush them and release the powers contained inside. Maybe not here, maybe not now, but they would know.
Mirrorspace had not given them all of the answers, but in its own way, it gave them some. The crystals they had found scattered in its corridors were the stored remains, the elements of life, that it had absorbed in its journey through space. What it had taken from others, it gave to them—for this world.
Their world.
They had so much yet to explore, so much to learn, but the Golden Mirror behind them flashed and seemed to be calling to them. It was ready to return them to the world they knew: to take them back to Mirrorspace and then, to Destiny City.

The Dark Mirror Senshi have unlocked the Mirrorscape! The Mirrorscape is a completely malleable world that they can manipulate and form as their own. On the main platform is a mutual location they can all access and build for (any attempts to build here will first require a mule to the PM so we can keep track of projects). The central platform is circular and roughly one mile wide. The Citadel stands in the center of it, and the Golden Mirror stands across from the Citadel’s entrance.
The only way in and out of this area is through the Golden Mirror.
For a full description of Mirrorscape and its abilities, please head over to the information thread. We have overhauled the DMC Information, so we encourage everyone to check it out! Any Dark Mirror Senshi is free to ICly play with any information in the thread if they participated in the Meta, however new characters must learn it from older characters. You may handwave these characters getting the information but you cannot just awaken knowing it!
Players may roleplay however they like in this thread, but they can leave at any time. There will be no more mule prompts and the Citadel is presently locked; they will not be able to explore it until they return next time! The Golden Mirror behind them seems to be calling to give them a reprieve and return them to their lives so they can recuperate—but they can return to the Mirrorscape any time they like! If you have any questions, please feel free to PM the mule! You can stay here to talk or exit!
ICly, your character has been gone for a week and a half; Destiny City has been reporting that a terrible flu has been sweeping the City. It seems as though those that were missing have simply been excused as sick given the sheer amounts of people being so fatigued they couldn’t get out of bed. Hospitals were overrun with people suffering from extreme exhaustion and the media claims it is the same sickness. Some victims claim they were pulled into a mirror and spit back out; hallucinations and delusions seem to be a symptom of the sickness.
Additionally, this subforum will be repurposed and renamed as ‘Mirrorspace’ within two weeks time! If you have an open roleplay in Mirrrorspace or any old roleplays that occurred in Mirrorspace that you would like to be moved here, please let us know and we will do so (though this is not required!). You may continue to do meta RPs if they are already open or if you plan to do some backdated ones, but by the end of the month we hope that no new meta RPs will be started. Eventually, the Meta Information thread will be archived and we will have a general information thread up for Mirrorspace; the meta summary will be updated as soon as we can manage!
