I absolutely love Cloifford Brown but sadly since he died so you there are not too many recordings of him. I was wondering what C.Ds people could suggest.

Try "A Night in Birdland Vol.1" by Art Blakey. It's a really good Be-Bop CD featuring Clifford Brown, Horace Silver, Art Blakey and other players.

My friend played for me some tribute song to Clifford Brown. It's got a bunch of trumpets playing a couple choruses from a Clifford Brown solo as the head. What's shocking is how well they all play so quickly and in harmonies.

What's shocking is how well they all play so quickly and in harmonies. Well they are professional players after all.... Some more recommendations: The Beginning and the End Quintet Vol.1 Quintet Vol.2

It takes real skill, however, to make it sound like one flowing melodic improvisation.
